How does it feel to wait for a good tv-series to release its next season? Usually, one year for one season, and the season number goes on to five, six, or even more. It's kinda hard to accept the waiting and after a long time when there is news about that show then the excitement also knows no bounds.
In one of my recent posts, I wrote about the first season experience of a popular tv-series "The Witcher". So here I am again with the experience of season two which was aired in 2021 whereas the first one was in 2019, this is the one that the production has aired so far. Have to be satisfied with just two seasons, for now, gotta wait for the next ones, who knows how long it goes on.
Here we went deeper into the story, went back to a few histories, the story diving deep into its chaos, the real one for which everything is getting ready.
The main attraction for me here was Ciri, who is now the center of everything, of everyone. All the chaos is aimed at her because she is a special one. In the previous season, we just saw her running from the war, running for her destiny, kinda helpless kid in search of her living, and here? Ciri being the Elder Blood made her so special, I really thought she would be turned into a witcher in Kaer Morhen. Well, before that on seeing this character grow she reminded me of someone else from another tv-show, can you guess? That's Arya Stark from GOT. Getting trained into a fighter from a Princess of the castles. She is knowing her worth, her power, being a fighter, infact more than that.
Yennefer, the character that I admired most in the last season had lost herself in this one but at last, she got it back but she learned a lesson, I guess so. I was getting mad at her selfishness, at how blind she was to sacrifice someone else to get what she lost, well she did correct it, and I am glad about that.
I still remember the excitement from GOT when we saw two baby dragons on Daenerys Targaryen's shoulder, also how ferocious they turned out later. So with time things get much more exciting, I am just restless thinking about them. This is just the second season man, so much more yet to come, this waiting is gonna be really hard.
Looks like I haven't talked about our witcher, Geralt, hehe. From our previous season to this one, we have seen Geralt turning from an emotionless monster slayer to someone who is adapting with his destiny, change in his heart, and here it has spread fully, his duty over protecting Ciri like a father figure, hatred, love, everything came out. Killing monsters on his way one after another alongside protecting Ciri. You know that scene when he killed Chernobog from that mountain while Ciri was standing as bait, also the kills of the monsters that came from the monolith were some incredible action scenes I have loved. The reason behind Nilfgaard getting after Cintra is all cleared in this season and that ending scene left me restless to wait for the next ones, 'waiting' that's what I hate the most in these cases.
Also, the characters like Vesemir, Rience, Jaskier, Fringilla, and many more were incredible with their parts. Well, I must say I had felt the absence of Jaskier in the first few episodes, and when did he return, his songs, an episode ending with a song, that's what I missed at the start of the season two.
I just loved it and expressed a few of my experiences. I couldn't portray the story properly, and that wasn't my agenda either, I just wanted to keep these memories and these raw feelings so that I can come back and read them again when necessary. It's kinda hard to leave these feelings unfinished and keep waiting for the next ones to be aired. Now I am feeling, why don't they release all of them together, hehehe. Kinda crazy and selfish. Actually, it's truly hard to keep waiting for these kinda ongoing exciting series to continue one after another after a huge gap. No worries, we will do it, waiting for the next season to begin.
