Conocida también como El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, es una película de drama y crimen que sirve como continuación a los eventos de la serie Breaking Bad y su ultimo episodio. Fue protagonizada por Aaron Paul repitiendo su papel del Jesse Pinkman, esta dirigida y escrita Vince Gilligan, creador de la serie. Su estreno fue en octubre de 2019 por la plataforma Netflix, teniendo criticas positivas en general.
Contexto
Regresando al final de la serie. Jesse escapo en el auto y la policia lo esta buscando, su plan de huir a Alaska sigue en pie pero necesita los recursos, para ello recurre a sus viejos amigos, al mismo tiempo tiene que lidiar con el trauma y sus recuerdos del pasado, cuando estuvo secuestrado por Todd Alquist y su pandilla, todo mientras evita que la policia lo atrape.
Análisis y Opinión
Siendo honesta cuando vi esta película estaba algo ansiosa, tenia muchas expectativas con ella. La serie me había encantado y rápidamente se había vuelto una de mis historias favoritas, el solo pensar que este filme podía cambiarlo todo me daba miedo, ya he sufrido decepciones de ese tipo. Sin embargo, mis ideas fueron infundadas porque la película no desilusiona, siendo un buen cierre para lo acontecido, algo de felicidad para la devastación.

Breaking Bad siempre a sido una serie con personajes complejos y realistas, Jesse es uno de estos sin duda alguna, a lo largo de la historia podemos ver su desarrollo y evolución pero algo que constantemente a mantenido es su buen corazón, esto generalmente le trae problemas y lo destroza en muchas situaciones. Entonces ver un cierre feliz y no tan ambiguo, para su historia es agradable y alentador.
La película mantiene su estilo y trama, sin abandonar o traicionar a sus personajes, haciendo que se sienta como otro episodio aunque mas largo, detalles que Vince Gilligan lucho por mantener, y se agradase ampliamente. También responde el interrogante, de que paso con Jesse al final de la serie, como el tiempo que estuvo secuestrado.
Jesse sufrió mucho, creo que es uno de los personajes con peor suerte en la serie, y en el final no quedo muy bien, el tiempo que estuvo con Todd lo destruyo, no solo física sino mentalmente, su espíritu fue arrebatado junto con su libertad. Ver esas escenas de crueldad y manipulación te afectan, tu como espectador puedes sentir y entender la impotencia de Jesse, así como también su frustración y miedo, lo que demuestra el gran trabajo actoral que hay destras, Aaron Paul se lucio totalmente. Es gracioso, al ver la serie no sentí algo negativo hacia Todd, y no entendía porque uno de mis amigos lo despreciaba tanto, hasta que vi la película y mi odio hacia el personajes aumento, fue deplorable todas sus acciones, un psicópata total y un excelente antagonista, lo que muestra el nivel de interpretación de Jesse Plemons.
Después de todo lo vivido ser feliz era digno para él, este durante toda la película lucha por ello, rompiendo su promesa de no volver a matar también enfrentando y reviviendo las peores cosas de su pasado, con tal de obtener una nueva oportunidad. En parte su felicidad es algo que no esperas, porque tienes el ligero presentimiento que las cosas empeorar para el protagonista en cualquier momento, lo típico para el personaje. Esa tensión aumenta en cada escena, y desespera, haciendo que el final sea aun mas satisfactorio y no solo eso, también un símbolo de esperanza para la historia, tal vez Jesse nunca pueda superar su pasado. Sin embargo, tiene todo el derecho de intentarlo.
Recomiendo la película totalmente, si eres fan de la serie debes verla e incluso si no lo eres, funciona muy bien como un proyecto a parte, siendo capaz de ser disfrutada en cualquier caso, hasta muy posiblemente los motive a ver la historia inicial, la cual es una de las mejores series de la televisión.

To be honest when I saw this movie I was a bit anxious, I had high expectations for it. I had loved the series and it had quickly become one of my favorite stories, the thought that this film could change everything scared me, I have suffered disappointments like that before. However, my ideas were unfounded because the film does not disappoint, being a good closure for what happened, some happiness for the devastation.

Breaking Bad has always been a series with complex and realistic characters, Jesse is one of these without a doubt, throughout the story we can see his development and evolution but something that he has constantly maintained is his good heart, this usually brings him problems and destroys him in many situations. So seeing a happy and not so ambiguous closure to his story is nice and encouraging.
The film maintains its style and plot, without abandoning or betraying its characters, making it feel like another episode, albeit a longer one, details that Vince Gilligan struggled to maintain, and is widely appreciated. It also answers the question, what happened to Jesse at the end of the series, like the time he was kidnapped.
Jesse suffered a lot, I think he is one of the characters with the worst luck in the series, and in the end he was not very well, the time he spent with Todd destroyed him, not only physically but mentally, his spirit was taken away along with his freedom. Watching those scenes of cruelty and manipulation affect you, you as a viewer can feel and understand Jesse's helplessness, as well as his frustration and fear, which shows the great acting work behind it, Aaron Paul was totally brilliant. It's funny, when I watched the series I didn't feel anything negative towards Todd, and I didn't understand why one of my friends despised him so much, until I saw the movie and my hatred towards the character increased, all his actions were deplorable, a total psychopath and an excellent antagonist, which shows the level of interpretation of Jesse Plemons.
After all he had lived through, being happy was worthy for him, he fights for it throughout the film, breaking his promise not to kill again and also facing and reliving the worst things of his past, in order to get a new chance. Partly his happiness is something you don't expect, because you have the slight feeling that things will get worse for the protagonist at any moment, typical for the character. That tension increases in every scene, and despairs, making the ending even more satisfying and not only that, also a symbol of hope for the story, maybe Jesse will never be able to overcome his past. However, he has every right to try.
I totally recommend the movie, if you are a fan of the series you must see it and even if you are not, it works very well as a side project, being able to be enjoyed in any case, even quite possibly motivating them to watch the initial story, which is one of the best series on television.
