Is this series good or what!? HBO never disappoints with shows centered around crime, drama or sex. Everyone who follows this show knows that The Deuce has everything mentioned in abundance, and then some. After the rise of prostitution, porn and illegal brothels in season one, in season 2 everything seems to have grown, well everything instead of pimping.
Those guys on the street corners are having a tough time, and one of the worst ones is slowly loosing the grip on his "bitches". There is a new movement centered around helping women that are trapped inside the prostitution circles, and the pimps do not like it.
James Franco is great in this season again, he plays 2 parts in this show. Twin brothers, one a great businessman, other one a moron, what can I say he does both parts great. What this season mostly focuses on is a slow but sure corruption of almost every character, not strange considering a fuckload of money is being made and the mobsters are involved with everything.
Attention to details and the porn industry at the time is what this show does best, filming of a porn version of Red Riding Hood took a lot of time, and I must say that was one of the more interesting parts in season 2. It ends violently for some of the characters, but I will leave that part for you to discover. Score: 8.8/10.
