TV Show Review - Sense8

Review by @moon32walker · 3356d · of Sense8

We've seen it countless times, one group of people trying to kill another one that is stronger, X-men, Inhumans and almost any group of people that are different. You can see a new version of that story in Sense8. This show however is trying to be more realistic than X-men for example, so you won't  see any flashing superpowers, just some basic human skills, mind you, there are quite enough of action scenes if you are scared that this is just kind of drama TV Show. I won't go too into spoilers area, I will just talk about some basic story elements. Sensates are a new human species that look the same but are connected mentally with one another, they can be 1000 miles apart but they are together and share special link. When they are all mixed together as a cluster they form one superbeing capable of anything.

In season 1 story follows 8 individuals all over the globe with different lives, skills and life difficulties. Very soon they started to sense some kind of presence when one of the cluster member would just appear, at first everyone thought they are crazy, but very soon they discovered that they can share their knowledge together and use different skills. That came in handy specially when an organization meant to eradicate the sensates started to hunt them down. This show is very provocative and interesting, because many of the sensates are from the different minorities, so they already know what it means to be different. In season 2 story picks up as the sensates are hunted more aggressively, but at the same time they are more skilled and capable of defending themselves. This show  is not in the top 5 of best TV Shows today, but it continues to amaze me with interesting story, cinematography, music and mystery. 8.5/10

Good review, will put it on my list now. We all love stories about people who are more than they seem because we like to think we are more than we seem
