Jaswant Singh Khalra collected strong evidence against this gruesome act of the police, obtaining information about innocent people killed wrongfully and official documents from cremation grounds. Jaswant Singh Khalra's goal was to raise a voice for the protection of innocent youth, and he presented all this evidence on an International level. As a result, he was first kidnapped, tortured, and eventually killed. This movie is about Jaswant Singh Khalra's great human rights struggle, from protecting his youth to losing his own life.

The biggest quality of this movie, in my opinion, is that it is not a Hero vs. Villain movie. Since it is based on reality, it shows a single individual raising his voice against an entire system. The very system whose job is to protect the public is engaged in the murder of innocent youth. The emergency wards of hospitals, police station logs, and the scenes of collecting records of wood and bodies from cremation grounds are depicted with such detail that the viewer is overcome with shock and sorrow.
Diljit Dosanjh's Acting
I had only seen Diljit Dosanjh in comedy roles or songs, but his acting in Satluj completely shocked me. In my opinion, this will be the best and most serious performance of his entire career. Diljit truly lived the character of Jaswant Singh Khalra. The silence on his face, the deep sorrow hidden in his eyes, and his calm, quiet demeanor expressed a determination about which everyone else was silent. It was an environment where everyone was forced to hide in their homes out of fear, but there, an ordinary bank manager prioritized standing up for the truth.

The success of any movie does not rely solely on the lead actor, but also depends on the supporting cast working alongside them.
Arjun Rampal: Arjun Rampal was portrayed as a senior investigative officer, and he played his role exceptionally well.
Suvinder Vicky: Suvinder Vicky was shown in the role of a corrupt and ruthless police officer, and he delivered a brilliant performance.
Geetika Vidya Ohlyan: She played the role of Jaswant Singh's wife, Paramjit Kaur.

The cinematography of the movie feels like a real-life document. We usually think of Indian Punjab as full of green fields and prosperity, but the terrifying 1990s scenes shown in this movie are completely different from our thoughts. Many questions will arise in the minds of viewers, just as many came to my mind, such as can someone fall so low for their promotion that they openly murder innocent human beings?
The background score was also kept strictly according to the need; for instance, wherever necessary, silence was shown, which doubled the impact of the scenes. The editing of this movie was done exceptionally well, which is why despite being a two-and-a-half-hour long movie, I didn't skip a single second.
