It has been several weeks since I saw an animated movie, so today I wanted to find one that I had not seen and thus know some new story that I have missed for whatever reason, there were several that caught my attention, I was even tempted to see a stop motion movie since I have some time that I do not see any, but I ended up opting for an animated film, so welcome to a new review dear friends of the community, today I want to talk about the film that is called "Megamind"; let's start with the review.

This movie released on November 5, 2010 is an American production that belongs to the genre of animation, adventure and comedy, is part of the extensive catalog of films that has the production company DreamWorks. Here we will follow the story of a supervillain named Megamind (hence the name of the film) who after many years trying to beat his nemesis Metro Man the hero of the city, ends up succeeding, but discovers that this did not give him the happiness he wanted and that it is boring to be a villain when there is no hero to fight against.

What happens in the movie?

Let's talk a little bit about what happens inside the movie, the movie starts with our main character in a complicated situation where many things went wrong, but he decides to tell us his story to know how he got to that situation and so he tells us that many years ago when he was only 8 days old he was sent by his parents out of his planet towards the earth, because his real planet was about to be destroyed by a kind of black hole, at the same time another nearby planet also had the same idea of trying to save a baby by sending him out of the planet before it was too late and that's how they both arrived to planet earth.

We know the difference of each of these babies, our protagonist has a blue skin tone and throughout his journey on his way to earth he had several obstacles, instead his nemesis the other baby with normal human appearance had a fairly quiet journey, which makes us see the difference even in the fate of each, which becomes more obvious when the blue baby was about to fall into a mansion, but a few seconds later was hit by the capsule of the other baby, making this one in the rich family, while the blue baby ends up in a prison, where several prisoners decide to stay with him and teach him about good and evil, clearly with intentions to incline him towards evil.

We see a little about the childhood of both, where clearly one is more accepted than the other, so it draws much more attention, instead the little blue is rejected, so much is the rejection that he decides that if he has to be bad, he will be the best villain in the world and so he decides to be called Megamind. Many years have passed and our protagonist is in prison, as always his plans do not work and Metro Man (the hero) always ends up winning, so the city is about to inaugurate a museum in his honor, so says a reporter who gives the information of the upcoming celebration.

Although Megamind is locked up in prison he is very calm and thanks to a plan he manages to escape to prepare again to carry out the mission to defeat Metro Man, so he kidnaps the reporter who had given the previous news without anyone noticing and the celebration of Metro Man begins, so Megamind interrupts to show that he has kidnapped the journalist and quickly Metro Man goes to look for her, but ends up falling into a trap, but still everyone trusts that Metro Man will win (even Megamind who distrusts his own plan), but to everyone's surprise Megamind really fulfills his task and beats the hero, thus becoming the great villain of the city, but this does not seem to make him happy, what will happen now without a hero?

My opinion about the movie

From this point on I will only talk about my opinion about the movie, so those who want to see the movie on their own won't find any spoilers. Let's talk about the story, it's no surprise that there are many movies about villains and heroes, but personally I think that in this story they knew how to turn it around to tell something deeper that goes beyond the obvious and this allowed me to love it from beginning to end, I feel that as soon as the movie starts there are already many things to pay attention to, not because later there is a plot twist, but because it is the best way to understand everything that happens and the reasons for it.

I must say that in the last animated films that have been released and I have had the opportunity to see, there are few that I really end up liking and many seem to be made in the same way, they try to remove many things to have a certain standard and no one feels offended, but in this film to be more than a decade ago does not have those limitations and this allows the film to have several factors that give more fun to it and clearly I am referring to the comedy, which is appreciated from the beginning of the film.

The theme of comedy has always seemed very important to me (clearly in films that include comedy) and in this film there really is a lot of comedy, silly jokes, some more complicated, others that perhaps other people would not like for their nuances that go a little to black humor, but personally it is that freedom that allows you to exploit a lot of content and I was having fun with each of the comic moments that exist in the film, it really has no waste and is still a film for all audiences, so the sense of humor has nothing wrong, at least in my personal opinion of course.

The characters seem to me very well built, each one fits perfectly in the story and really brings coherence to the development of it, sometimes I miss this in current films, maybe it's my perception, but I think that before the films were more worked, they sought to tell something, entertain and have a good time, I'm not saying that current films don't do it, but there are few that maintain this, but this film really has many components that make it excellent, the story, the characters, the humor and also the message that the story leaves, it is a very interesting reflection, if you are attentive from the beginning you can appreciate more than one and also question others.

Han pasado varias semanas desde que vi alguna película animada, por lo que el día de hoy tenía ganas de encontrar alguna que no hubiese visto y así conocer alguna nueva historia que me haya perdido por cualquier motivo, fueron varias las que llamaron mí atención, incluso estuve tentando en ver una película stop motion ya que igual tengo cierto tiempo que no veo alguna, pero me terminé decantando por una película animada, por lo que sean bienvenidos a una nueva reseña queridos amigos de la comunidad, el día de hoy quiero hablarles de la película que lleva por nombre “Megamente”; comencemos con la reseña.

Esta película estrenada el 5 de noviembre del año 2010 es una producción estadounidense que pertenece al género de la animación, aventura y comedia, forma parte del extenso catalogo de películas que tiene la productora de DreamWorks. Aquí seguiremos la historia de un supervillano que tiene por nombre Megamente (de ahí el nombre de la película) quien tras muchos años intentando ganarle a su némesis Metro Man el héroe de la ciudad, lo termina logrando, pero descubre que esto no le dio la felicidad que quería y que es aburrido ser un villano cuando no hay un héroe contra el que luchar.

¿Qué sucede en la película?

Hablemos un poco de lo que sucede dentro de la película, la misma comienza con nuestro protagonista en una situación complicada donde muchas cosas salieron mal, pero decide contarnos su historia para saber cómo es que ha llegado a esa situación y así nos cuenta que hace muchos años cuando apenas tenía 8 días de nacido fue enviado por sus padres fuera de su planeta en dirección a la tierra, ya que su verdadero planeta estaba por ser destruido por una especie de agujero negro, a la vez otro planeta cercano también tuvo la misma idea de intentar salvar a un bebé enviándolo fuera del planeta antes de que fuese tarde y así es como ambos llegaron al planeta tierra.

Conocemos la diferencia de cada uno de estos bebés, nuestro protagonista tiene un tono de piel azul y en todo su trayecto de camino a la tierra tuvo varios obstáculos, en cambio su némesis el otro bebé con apariencia de humano normal tuvo un trayecto bastante tranquilo, lo que nos hace ver la diferencia incluso en la suerte de cada uno, lo que se hace más obvio cuando el bebé azul estuvo a punto de caer en una mansión, pero a pocos segundos fue golpeado por la capsula del otro bebé, haciendo que éste estuviese en la familia rica, mientras el bebé azul termina en una prisión, donde varios prisioneros deciden quedarse con él y enseñarle sobre el bien y el mal, claramente con intenciones de inclinarlo hacia el mal.

Vemos un poco sobre la infancia de ambos, donde claramente uno es más aceptado que el otro, por lo que llama mucho más la atención, en cambio el pequeño azul es rechazado, tanto es el rechazo que decide que, si tiene que ser malo, será el mejor villano del mundo y así decide llamarse Megamente. Muchos años han pasado y nuestro protagonista está en prisión, ya que siempre sus planes no funcionan y Metro Man (el héroe) termina ganando siempre, por lo que la ciudad está por inaugurar un museo en su honor, así lo dice una reportera quien da la información de la pronta celebración.

Aunque Megamente está encerrado en prisión está muy tranquilo y gracias a un plan logra escapar para así prepararse nuevamente a llevar acabo la misión de vencer a Metro Man, por lo que secuestra a la reportera que había dando la noticia anterior sin que nadie se de cuenta y la celebración de Metro Man empieza, por lo que Megamente interrumpe para mostrar que tiene secuestrada a la periodista y rápidamente Metro Man va a buscarla, pero termina cayendo en una trampa, pero aun así todos confían en que Metro Man ganará (incluso Megamente que desconfía de su propio plan), pero para la sorpresa de todos realmente Megamente cumple con su cometido y le gana al héroe, volviéndose así el gran villano de la ciudad, pero esto parece que no le hace nada feliz, ¿Qué sucederá ahora sin un héroe?

Mí opinión sobre la película

A partir de este punto sólo hablaré de mi opinión sobre la película, así quienes quieran ver la película por su cuenta no se encontrarán ningún spoiler. Hablemos de la historia, no es sorpresa que existen muchas películas de villanos y héroes, pero en lo personal me parece que en esta historia supieron darle la vuelta para contar algo más profundo que va más allá de lo obvio y esto permitió que me encantara de principio a fin, siento que apenas comienza la película ya hay muchas cosas a las cuales prestarle atención, no porque más adelante haya un giro de trama, sino porque es la mejor manera de entender todo lo que sucede y los motivos de ello.

Debo decir que en las últimas películas animadas que se han estrenado y he tenido la oportunidad de ver, son pocas las que realmente me terminan gustando y es que muchas parecen estar hechas de la misma manera, intentan quitar muchas cosas para que tenga cierto estándar y nadie se sienta ofendido, pero en esta película al ser de hace más de una década no tiene esos limitantes y esto permite que la película tenga diversos factores que le dan más diversión a la misma y claramente me estoy refiriendo a la comedia, cosa que se aprecia desde el principio de la película.

El tema de la comedia siempre me ha parecido muy importante (claramente en las películas que incluyan comedia) y es que en esta película realmente hay mucha comedia, chistes tontos, algunos más complicados, otros que quizás no le gustarían a otras personas por sus matices que van un poco al humor negro, pero en lo personal es esa libertad la que te permite explotar mucho contenido y yo me estuve divirtiendo con cada uno de los momentos cómicos que existen en la película, realmente no tiene desperdicio ninguno y sigue siendo una película para todo público, por lo que el sentido del humor no tiene nada de malo, al menos en mí opinión personal claro está.

Los personajes me parecen muy bien construidos, cada uno encaja a la perfección en la historia y realmente aporta coherencia a el desarrollo de la misma, a veces extraño esto en las películas actuales, quizás sea mí percepción, pero considero que antes las películas eran más trabajadas, buscaban contar algo, entretener y pasar un buen momento, no digo que las actuales no lo hagan, pero son pocas las que mantienen esto, pero en esta película realmente tiene muchos componentes que la hacen excelente, la historia, los personajes, el humor y también el mensaje que deja la historia, es una reflexión bastante interesante, que si están atentos desde el principio pueden apreciar más de una y también cuestionarse otras.
