Hello friends of the Movies & Tv Shows community, I hope you have a great start of the week. It's my first time posting here, but I've been following the community for a while now. Watching movies or series is something I really enjoy and I decided to take the plunge with a movie that caught my attention thanks to a post on Facebook. If there is something I can't resist is movies that can be very emotional and connect with you either by experiences, similar situations or simple coincidences with the stories. So, without further ado, I'll tell you about "Life in a Year".
Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv Shows, espero tengan un gran inicio de semana. Es primera vez que publico por aquí, pero tenía ya un tiempo siguiendo a la comunidad. Ver películas o series es algo que disfruto mucho y decidí dar el paso con una película que me llamó la atención gracias a una publicación en Facebook. Si hay algo a lo que no me puedo resistir es a las películas que puedan ser muy emocionales y conecten contigo ya sea por experiencias, situaciones similares o simples coincidencias con las historias. The film begins by showing us the main character named Daryn and the routine with which he starts his day and we are introduced to his father, who from the beginning is shown as controlling aspects of his son's life. This made me question something a bit, to what extent can your parents influence aspects of your life? Certainly his father does this with the intention of his son becoming a great man and having a secure future, it is what he reflects and often reminds him, that life is about having concrete life plans.
La película empieza mostrándonos al protagonista llamado Daryn y la rutina con la que empieza el día y nos presentan a su padre, quien desde un principio se muestra como controlador de los aspectos de la vida de su hijo. Esto me hizo cuestionarme un poco algo, ¿Hasta qué punto tus padres pueden influir en los aspectos de tu vida? Ciertamente su padre lo hace con la intención de que su hijo llegue a ser un gran hombre y tenga un futuro asegurado, es lo que refleja y suele recordarle, que la vida se trata de tener planes concretos de vida.

As the film progresses, we discover that the protagonist has certain gifts as a rapper, (something that I honestly liked a lot because I am a fan of rap) he has a gift for improvisation and his friends insist that he must show his talent. In addition there will be a concert of a famous rapper, to which the three decide to go and although the protagonist hesitates to attend thanks to the strictness of his father, thanks to the support of his mother manages to go but when they get to the place, they can not enter, this makes our protagonist by certain actions ends up knowing the face of our other protagonist and her name, Isabelle, which ends up being love at first sight for Daryn and here really begins the story.
Mientras avanza la película, descubrimos que el protagonista tiene ciertos dotes como rapero, (algo que honestamente me gustó mucho porque soy un fanático del rap) tiene un don para improvisar y sus amigos le insisten en que debe mostrar su talento. Además habrá un concierto de un rapero famoso, al cual los tres deciden ir y aunque el protagonista duda de asistir gracias a lo estricto de su padre, gracias al apoyo de su madre consigue ir pero al llegar al lugar, no pueden entrar, esto hace que nuestro protagonista por ciertas acciones termine conociendo el rostro de nuestra otra protagonista y su nombre, Isabelle, lo que termina siendo amor a primera vista para Daryn y aquí empieza verdaderamente la historia.

He insists on having a date with him but she refuses, Daryn improvises and although he impresses her he still doesn't accept, but Daryn doesn't give in and convinces her, although she only accepts that he takes her to his house. So it happens and when they are about to say goodbye, Daryn insists that they should have a real date, she hesitates but agrees to go out again just because she feels sorry for him. On this date, they start to get to know each other a little more, Isabelle realizes that Daryn acts like a robot, he only follows his father's plans and is not sincere with himself. When they say goodbye they decide to go out "One more time" and so they constantly repeat having different dates and ending with a characteristic "One more time". Thanks to this, Daryn slowly wakes up and starts to really think about what he wants in his life.
Después de muchos intentos por encontrar a Isabelle en redes sociales y no tener ningún resultado, desiste. Pero al día siguiente, mientras realizaba su rutina diaria le vuelve a encontrar. Insiste en que tenga una cita con él pero ella se niega, Daryn improvisa y aunque la impresiona sigue sin aceptar, pero Daryn no da su brazo a torcer y la convence, aunque ella sólo acepta que él la lleve a su casa. Así sucede y cuando están por despedirse, Daryn insiste en que deben tener una cita de verdad, ella duda pero acepta volver a salir sólo porque le da lástima. En ésta cita, empiezan a conocerse un poco más, Isabelle se da cuenta que Daryn actúa como un robot, sólo sigue los planes de su padre y no es sincero consigo mismo. Al despedirse deciden salir “Una vez más” y así repiten constantemente teniendo distintas citas y finalizando con un característico “Una vez más”. Gracias a esto, Daryn despierta poco a poco y empieza a plantearse realmente qué es lo que quiere en su vida.

Throughout the film we will find moments to laugh, feel inspired, reflect and analyze how we really live our lives, as well as a feeling of injustice for certain things that usually happen and for which we have no way to act but to feel anger towards life itself and try to move on.
Going back to what I said at the beginning about the extent to which parents can influence your life, it made me think that perhaps there are times when parents in a blind way tend to reflect those desires that they could not obtain and place them in their children to see them fulfilled in the way they could not, it seems to me that this is something we see in the film, how dreams of success can even lead to disaster when it is something we impose and not a natural desire of the person, so a parent may be creating a copy of himself and not giving the opportunity for his child to be as he really wants to be, a different person with different tastes and desire to achieve different goals.
En el transcurso de toda la película encontraremos momentos para reír, sentir inspiración, reflexionar y analizar el cómo realmente vivimos nuestra vida, además de un sentimiento de injusticia por ciertas cosas que suelen suceder y de los cuales no tenemos ninguna manera de actuar más que sentir enojo hacía la vida misma e intentar seguir adelante.
Volviendo a lo que comentaba al principio sobre hasta qué punto los padres pueden influir en tu vida, me hizo pensar que quizás hay momentos en que los padres de una manera ciega tienden a reflejar aquellos deseos que ellos no pudieron obtener y colocarlos en sus hijos para verlos realizados de la forma en que ellos no pudieron, me parece que esto es algo que vemos en la película, como los sueños de éxito pueden llevar incluso al desastre cuando es algo que imponemos y no un deseo natural de la persona, por lo cual un padre puede estar creando una copia de sí mismo y no dando la oportunidad de que su hijo sea realmente como quiere ser, una persona diferente con gustos diferentes y ganas de alcanzar metas diferentes.

My rating for the movie would be a 7/10 it really makes you get into the story and want to solve that uncertainty of What will happen now? I highly recommend the movie and even more if you are a person like me who enjoys sentimental stories. If you get to see it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Best regards, my movie buff friends.
Mi calificación para la película sería un 7/10 realmente te hace meterte de lleno en la historia y querer resolver aquella incertidumbre del ¿Qué pasará ahora? Les recomiendo la película completamente y más si son personas que como yo disfrutan de las historias sentimentales. Si llegan a verla, espero que la disfruten tanto como yo.
