A few days ago I came across the trailer of this movie and seeing that it had Adam Sandler as part of the main cast I knew that as soon as it was released I had to see it, I don't remember any movie in which Adam Sandler has disappointed me and today knowing that it had already been released the day before, I decided that it would be a good time to see it, considering that I had a free afternoon and that's what I did, so today dear friends of the community, I want to talk to you about a new movie already available on Netflix called "You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah".

The plot of this movie released on August 25, 2023 could say that it has nothing special, in short the film is about best friends who have been planning their bat mitzvah parties since they were very small, two inseparable friends or at least they were until the most popular boy that one of them is in love with appears, plus some school dramas will make some things go a little wrong in the lives of our beloved protagonists, let's talk more in depth about the film.

The movie starts showing us the beginning of a bat mitzvah and then a big party of Stacy our main character, the way she thinks it will be and everything she wants in it, from the food to the kind of show she wants, but it was all just her imagination, Stacy is getting ready for another party which she attends with all her family and her best friend Lydia, in this party we meet two other friends of Stacy and Lydia, also we discover Stacy's platonic love, a boy named Andy, who is the most popular and from the beginning you can see how Lydia is also interested in him even if she doesn't say anything.

The next day Stacy tells all her plans to her parents, who clearly do not think they can do everything perfectly as she wants, because she wants from famous artists to a yacht, when her parents tell her that the party is not so important, she tells them about a case where a girl was left without friends for a mistake in her party, so the party is very important to be popular and accepted before her other classmates. While at school, the popular girls talk to Lydia and this is something unusual, but later the popular girls invite Lydia to a kind of meeting between friends and she takes Stacy with her.

After the meeting they head to a cliff, where minutes later Andy arrives with other guys, someone mentions that they should jump the cliff, but clearly no one wants to do it, until Stacy gets the great idea that this could be her chance to get Andy's attention, so she decides to jump, everyone starts to praise her, until seconds later something quite embarrassing happens for Stacy, so many laugh, including Lydia does it a little too, something that bothers Stacy and tells her that they can no longer be friends and with this action many more happen that I will leave them for you to discover if you decide to watch it.

I'm going to be very honest with my opinion, I finished watching the movie just because I had already started it, but to tell you the truth, it didn't catch me at any time, I understand that maybe the story is not for someone like me and maybe it is aimed at a much younger audience, but this is something that had not happened to me before, I didn't find humor in many of the scenes (and believe me, my sense of humor is quite simple and I laugh easily) so, although it is a comedy movie, the truth is that I didn't find it very funny, but again and again, maybe I'm not the target audience of the movie.

Although my main reason to see the film was Adam Sandler, he didn't appear much either and in the moments he did, he didn't generate much fun for me either, so, although I started the review saying that there wasn't an Adam Sandler movie that hadn't disappointed me, I would say that this is the first one, although I don't know whether to count it because Adam Sandler is not the protagonist as such, so it could be somewhat questionable, but be that as it may, I find it one of the most boring movies I've ever seen, besides that although I understand the reason for the story, I also found it very boring, there was nothing to keep you in expectation, everything was very typical.

I would like to add some good thing about the movie but I really can't remember any, even after finishing it relatively an hour or so ago, I hardly remember much of what happened for the same reason that I didn't find it very relevant, it's a movie that for my personal taste, there's nothing interesting about it and I may be being a bit harsh, but I just can't really find some way to say something that grabbed me, even while writing the development of the movie I was getting bored and I think that says a lot.

In all honesty I say that I do not recommend the movie, do not waste your time watching it, there are better options to see if it is a comedy, besides if you are looking for laughs, I doubt very much that with this movie you will do it, but I repeat once again, clearly this is from my point of view and most likely I am not the audience that the film wants to capture, but to consider it good, it should be enjoyable for everyone who sees it, right? I'm not saying that everyone should like it because that's impossible, but it should at least be a movie that will get a few laughs out of you, but with me it didn't.

Hace algunos días me encontré con el tráiler de esta película y al ver que tenía a Adam Sandler como parte del elenco principal sabía que apenas se estrenara tenía que verla, no recuerdo ninguna película en la que Adam Sandler me haya decepcionado y hoy sabiendo que ya se había estrenado en día anterior, decidí que sería un buen momento para verla, teniendo en cuenta que tenía la tarde libre y eso fue lo que hice, por lo que el día de hoy queridos amigos de la comunidad, quiero hablarles de una nueva película ya disponible en Netflix llamada “¡No estás invitada a mi bat mitzvá!”.

La trama de esta película estrenada el 25 de agosto del año 2023 podría decir que no tiene algo de especial, en resumidas cuentas la película va de unas mejores amigas que llevan desde que eran muy pequeñas planeado sus fiestas de bat mitzvá, dos amigas inseparables o al menos lo eran hasta que aparece el chico más popular del que una de ellas está enamorada, además de algunos dramas escolares harán que algunas cosas se tuerzan un poco en la vida de nuestras queridas protagonistas, hablemos más a profundidad de la película.

La película comienza mostrándonos el inicio de un bat mitzvá y luego una gran fiesta de Stacy nuestra protagonista, de la manera en que piensa que será y todo lo que desea en ella, desde la comida hasta el tipo de espectáculo que quiere, pero todo no era más que su imaginación, Stacy se está preparando para otra fiesta a la que asiste con toda su familia y su mejor amiga Lydia, en esta fiesta conocemos a otras dos amigas de Stacy y Lydia, además descubrimos al amor platónico de Stacy, un chico llamado Andy, quien es el más popular y desde el principio se puede ver como a Lydia también le interesa aunque no diga nada.

Al otro día Stacy le cuenta todos sus planes a sus padres, los cuales claramente no creen poder hacer todo a la perfección como ella lo quiere, porque desea desde artistas famosos hasta un yate, cuando sus padres le dicen que la fiesta no es tan importante, ella les habla de un caso donde una chica se quedó sin amigos por un error en su fiesta, por lo que la fiesta es muy importante para ser popular y aceptada ante sus otros compañeros. Estando en la escuela, las chicas populares le hablan a Lydia y esto es algo inusual, pero más adelante las chicas populares invitan a Lydia a una especie de reunión entre amigas y lleva a Stacy consigo.

Luego de la reunión se dirigen a un acantilado, donde minutos después llega Andy con otros chicos, alguien menciona que deberían saltar el acantilado, pero claramente nadie quiere hacerlo, hasta que a Stacy se le ocurre la gran idea de que esa puede ser su oportunidad para llamar la atención de Andy, por lo que decide saltar, todos empiezan a alabarla, hasta que segundos luego ocurre algo bastante vergonzoso para Stacy, por lo que muchos se ríen, incluido Lydia lo hace un poco también, cosa que molesta a Stacy y le dice que ya no pueden ser amigas y con esta acción ocurren muchas más que se las dejaré para que las descubran si deciden verla.

Les voy a ser muy honesto con mi opinión, terminé de ver la película sólo porque ya la había comenzado, pero si les digo la verdad, no me atrapó en ningún momento, entiendo que quizás la historia no sea para alguien como yo y quizás apunte a un publico mucho más joven, pero esto es algo que no me había pasado antes, no le encontré sentido del humor a muchas de las escenas (y créanme, mi sentido del humor es bastante sencillo y me rio con facilidad) por lo que, aunque es una película de comedia, la verdad es que no le encontré mucha gracia, pero vuelvo y repito, quizás no soy el publico al que va dirigido la película.

Aunque mi principal motivo para ver la película era Adam Sandler, tampoco apareció mucho y en los momentos que lo hizo tampoco me generó mucha gracia, por lo que, aunque comencé la reseña diciendo que no había película de Adam Sandler que no me había decepcionado, diría que esta es la primera, aunque no sé si contarla porque Adam Sandler no es el protagonista como tal, por lo que podría ser algo cuestionable, pero sea como sea, me parece una de las películas más aburridas que haya visto, además que aunque entiendo el motivo de la historia, también me pareció muy aburrida, no había algo que te mantenga a la expectativa, todo era muy típico.

Me gustaría agregar alguna cosa buena de la película pero realmente no puedo recordar alguna, incluso después de haberla terminado hace relativamente una hora más o menos, casi no recuerdo mucho de lo que sucedió por la misma razón de que no me pareció muy relevante, es una película que para mi gusto personal, no tiene nada de interesante y puede que esté siendo un poco duro, pero es que realmente no encuentro alguna manera de decir algo que me atrapara, incluso mientras escribía el desarrollo de la película me estaba aburriendo y creo que eso dice mucho.

Con toda honestidad les digo que, no recomiendo la película, no pierdan su tiempo viéndola, hay mejores opciones para ver si se trata de comedia, además si lo que buscan es reírse, dudo mucho que con esta película lo hagan, pero vuelvo a repetir una vez más, claramente esto es desde mi punto de vista y muy probablemente yo no soy el público que la película quiere captar, pero para considerar que sea buena, debería ser disfrutable para todo aquello que la vea ¿no? No digo que debe gustarle a todo el mundo porque es algo imposible, pero al menos debería ser una película que te saque algunas risas, pero conmigo no fue así.
