Toda historia tiene un comienzo o varios dependiendo de los diferentes puntos de vista que existan, un ejemplo es la historia creada por el director y guionista _**Zack Snyder**_ llamada "Army of the Dead" estrenada en Netflix el pasado mes de mayo, está historia sobre mercenarios, el robo a un casino, las Vegas y zombies, muy diferentes zombies, creo una base de fans por la historia que es, una de la cual no la consideré una típica película sobre muertos vivientes a pesar de contar con muchos factores que siempre son usados en este tipo de películas, la diferencia está en las teorías que se crearon, sobre quiénes son los personajes envueltos en esta aventura llena de zombies y una de la cual creo que es la más importante, que originó toda esta situación, justamente en este nuevo film, spin-off de la hecha por _**Snyder**_, explora lo que puede ser uno de los orígenes de uno de sus personajes, pero a la vez nos da pista de lo que ocurrió en Las Vegas y lo que podemos esperar en el futuro.

Every story has a beginning or several depending on the different points of view that exist, an example is the story created by the director and screenwriter _**Zack Snyder**_ called "Army of the Dead" released on Netflix last May, this story about mercenaries, the robbery of a casino, Vegas and zombies, very different zombies, created a fan base for the story that is, one of which I did not consider it a typical movie about living dead despite having many factors that are always used in this type of film, the difference is in the theories that were created, about who are the characters involved in this adventure full of zombies and one of which I think is the most important, which originated this whole situation, just in this new film, spin-off of the one made by _**Snyder**_, explores what may be one of the origins of one of his characters, but at the same time gives us a clue of what happened in Las Vegas and what we can expect in the future.
En esta publicación puedo escribir completamente sobre la conexión y teorías entre ambas películas, sin embargo pienso que no sería justo, ya que disfrute mucho de esta historia basada en uno de los mejores personajes de "AotD", es por eso que es mejor contarles lo que pienso sobre esta precuela dentro del “Universo Army”; en esta nueva película de Netflix, "Army of Thieves", conoceremos a "Sebastian Schlencht-Wöhnert" un hombre obsesionado con "Hans Wagner", un antiguo cerrajero que creo una serie de cajas fuertes llamadas "The Ring Cycle", un día, algo rompe el eterno y aburrido loop que vive Sebastián, una invitación que le hará entrar a un mundo que tal vez muchos crean que no está preparado, pero cuando tenga enfrente la posibilidad de estar cerca de lo que más le motiva, él cambiará y hará lo necesario para vivir de forma diferente sin importar las consecuencias.
In this post I can write completely about the connection and theories between both movies, however I think it wouldn't be fair, since I really enjoyed this story based on one of the best characters of "AotD", that's why it's better to tell you what I think about this prequel inside the "Army Universe". In this new Netflix movie, "Army of Thieves", we will meet "Sebastian Schlencht-Wöhnert" a man obsessed with "Hans Wagner", a former locksmith who created a series of safes called "The Ring Cycle", one day, something breaks the eternal and boring loop that Sebastian lives, An invitation that will make him enter a world that many may not think he is ready for, but when he is faced with the possibility of being close to what motivates him the most, he will change and do what is necessary to live differently regardless of the consequences.
A pesar de que me gustó el film dirigido y con escrito por Snyder y que el personaje de Dieter es uno de mis favoritos, no tenía muchas expectativas sobre esta película, igual la que quería ver porque más que nada quería saber que nuevas pistas nos podían dar para hacer crecer las teorías que se han hecho en este universo, pienso que tal vez esto fue algo bueno porque me hizo disfrutar mucho esta película divertida sobre el robo de bancos. Matthias Schweighöfer no solo protagoniza esta película, sino también la dirige, está es la sexta vez que dirige un produce un film, este es la primera vez que veo su trabajo como director y debo decir que me pareció excelente, me gusta la imagen de cada toma, principalmente al comienzo, creo que cada imagen mostrada en el primer acto son excelentes, le da un buen sentido al film y por supuesto a la historia del personaje, tiene un buen toque europeo, tanto en la edición, comedia y música; el trabajo de la cámara es muy bueno tanto en el primero como en el segundo acto, imagino que no se quiso usar ese mismo tipo de escenas en el último para no ser repetitivo, pero pienso que de igual forma no afecta para nada la película.
El guión es por parte de Shay Hatten quien co escribió el guion de Army of the Dead junto a Snyder, este escritor es alguien que está muy ligado a la historia y sabe el plan hecho desde un comienzo, me gusta que haya hecho una historia muy bien balanceada y que se enfocará mucho en la relación entre Sebastián, Gwendoline y las cajas fuertes, esto no quiere decir que no se haya escrito ninguna escena de acción, al contrario, están las necesarias, ya que lo importante es ver al protagonista completamente en acción, ahora es el momento de referirme a una parte importante de la historia, es claro que hay cosas dentro del guion que alimentan todo lo referente a las teorías creadas desde el estreno de Army of the Dead, en esta historia más que nada se hace referencia a una muy importante como lo es el posible Loop que existe en el primer film, es claro que la historia de Hans Wagner y sus cajas fuertes es clave para lo que sucede, creo que llamarlas "The Ring Cycle" es una clara referencia a todo esto de estar atrapados en un loop y no poder salir y aquí pienso en la importancia de Sebastián/Dieter en la historia, ya que es él quién posiblemente puedan hacerlos salir del lugar en donde están atrapados.
Even though I liked the film directed and written by Snyder and the character of Dieter is one of my favorites, I didn't have many expectations about this film, even though I wanted to see it because more than anything I wanted to know what new clues they could give us to expand the theories that have been made in this universe, I think maybe this was a good thing because it made me enjoy a lot this funny film about bank robbery. Matthias Schweighöfer not only stars in this movie, he also directs it, this is the sixth time he directs a produces a film, this is the first time I see his work as a director and I must say I thought it was excellent, I like the image of every shot, mainly at the beginning, I think every image shown in the first act are excellent, it gives a good sense to the film and of course to the character's story, it has a good european touch, both in the editing, comedy and music; the camera work is very good in both the first and the second act, I imagine that they didn't want to use the same kind of scenes in the last one in order not to be repetitive, but I think it doesn't affect the film at all.
The script is by Shay Hatten who co-wrote the screenplay for Army of the Dead with Snyder, this writer is someone who is very attached to the story and knows the plan made from the beginning, I like that he made a very well balanced story and will focus a lot on the relationship between Sebastian, Gwendoline and the safes, this does not mean that no action scenes have been written, on the contrary, there are the necessary ones, since the important thing is to see the protagonist completely in action, now is the time to refer to an important part of the story, it is clear that there are things in the script that feed everything related to the theories created since the release of Army of the Dead, in this story more than anything is referred to a very important one as it is the possible Loop that exists in the first film, it is clear that the story of Hans Wagner and his safes is key to what happens, I think that calling them "The Ring Cycle" is a clear reference to all this of being trapped in a loop and not being able to get out and here I think of the importance of Sebastian/Dieter in the story, since he is the one who can possibly make them get out of the place where they are trapped.
Las actuaciones son buenas, Matthias Schweighöfer hace un gran trabajo interpretando a "Sebastián", un personaje nervioso cuando es interrumpido en su mundo lleno de simpleza y soledad, pero al momento de estar frente a un reto no esconde la alegría de enfrentar cualquier cosa, pienso que este es un gran personaje muy bien escrito y actuado y lo mejor es que al ver este film pienso que todavía le falta aún más para evolucionar en esta historia, en este universo que abarca muchas cosas; el trabajo de Nathalie Emmanuel como "Gwendoline Starr" es muy bueno, nada que ver con lo que hace en Fast & Furious, en esta historia interpreta a una mujer fuerte, decidía, con un ideal sin importar que sea una criminal, es una líder y eso fue lo que me gustó de su personaje, espero muy pronto ver más de ella en este universo igual que "Korina Dominguez" interpretada por Ruby O. Fee, ella es otro de mis personajes favoritos en todo este universo de zombies, loops y robos de bancos.
The performances are good, Matthias Schweighöfer does a great job playing "Sebastian", a nervous character when he is interrupted in his world full of simplicity and loneliness, but when faced with a challenge he does not hide the joy of facing anything, I think this is a great character very well written and acted and the best thing is that watching this film I think he still needs more to evolve in this story, in this universe that encompasses many things; The work of Nathalie Emmanuel as "Gwendoline Starr" is very good, nothing to do with what she does in Fast & Furious, in this story she plays a strong woman, determined, with an ideal without caring that she is a criminal, she is a leader and that's what I liked about her character, I hope very soon to see more of her in this universe just like "Korina Dominguez" played by Ruby O. Fee, she is another one of my favorite characters in this whole universe of zombies, loops and bank robberies.
Army of Thieves sencillamente pudo ser un film lleno de vértigo, persecuciones no creíbles, escenas caricaturescas y muchas otras cosas más, pero me gustó la decisión de hacer un film de robos de bancos elegante, divertido, cómico, rápido, con excelente protagonista, muy buena historia que le da más importancia a lo que se contempló meses atrás, me pareció bien que no busque ser más que el anterior film y que a pesar de ser una precuela se sienta única; celebro que sé de un paso más para las teorías, una pista más para resolver o para saber el verdadero origen de esta historia, sé que el año que viene con el estreno del anime "Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas" sabemos aún más sobre que ocasiona el posible loop, una historia enfocada en el grupo de mercenarios al comienzo del brote de la infección zombie y que nos prepara para "Planet of the Dead", sin fecha de estreno; recomiendo esta película así les haya gustado o no la dirigida por Snyder y si no han visto la de los zombies, entonces sepan que a pesar de ser dos historias dentro de un mismo universo son dos películas diferentes.
Army of Thieves could have simply been a film full of vertigo, not credible chases, cartoonish scenes and many other things, but I liked the decision to make a bank robbery film elegant, funny, comical, fast, with excellent protagonist, very good story that gives more importance to what was contemplated months ago, I thought it was good that it does not seek to be more than the previous film and that despite being a prequel it feels unique; I celebrate that I know of one more step for the theories, one more clue to solve or to know the true origin of this story, I know that next year with the release of the anime "Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas" we know even more about what causes the possible loop, a story focused on the group of mercenaries at the beginning of the zombie infection outbreak and that prepares us for "Planet of the Dead", no release date; I recommend this movie whether or not you liked the one directed by Snyder and if you haven't seen the zombie one, then know that despite being two stories within the same universe they are two different movies.
