Este año debe ser el más flojo con respecto a la calidad de producciones que son basadas en personajes e historia de comics; no sé si es fatiga sobre este tipo de films o series, pero se me ha hecho muy difícil de disfrutar por completo a todas estas historias. Desde comienzo del año, el público ha sido bombardeado con muchos films y series en dónde personalmente he disfrutado completamente de dos, ambas pertenecientes a DC Comics; me refiero a "Pacemaker" y "The Batman"; ahora con respecto a otros films y series pertenecientes a Marvel Studios, diré que en parte disfrute de la breve historia de "Moon Knight" y que las películas estrenadas me han parecido lo peor del año, son decepcionantes y espero que cuando sea el estreno de "Wakanda Forever" sea lo que de fin a una fila de películas y series de la fase 4 que considero entre malas y regulares; ahora, antes del estreno de la esperada secuela de "Black Panther", se estrenó un film de un personaje de DC Comics que tuvo que esperar hasta 8 años para poder al fin ver la luz, una historia de un villano convertido en un anti-héroe.

This year must be the weakest year regarding the quality of productions that are based on comic book characters and stories; I don't know if it's fatigue about this kind of films or series, but it has been very difficult for me to fully enjoy all these stories. Since the beginning of the year, the public has been bombarded with many films and series where I personally have fully enjoyed two of them, both belonging to DC Comics; I am referring to "Pacemaker" and "The Batman"; now with respect to other films and series belonging to Marvel Studios, I will say that I partly enjoyed the brief story of "Moon Knight" and that the movies released have seemed to me the worst of the year, they are disappointing and I hope that when "Wakanda Forever" is released it will be the end of a line of movies and series of phase 4 that I consider between bad and average; now, before the release of the expected sequel of "Black Panther", a film of a DC Comics character that had to wait up to 8 years to finally see the light, a story of a villain turned into an anti-hero, was released.
Posiblemente en todas las películas basadas en comics estrenadas en este año, "Black Adam" era la que no quería ver en el cine, pero nunca puedo rechazar la invitación al ir a ver una película, así que no me quedo más de otra que tratar de disfrutar a uno de los actores que menos me gusta de ver con una película que parece que es una mera excusa para dar pie nuevamente a la ilusión de que en DC Comics y WB puedan hacer mejores proyectos. Desde un principio encontré que pudiera existir una gran dificultad al realizar esta película, primero hay que retomar de que este personaje pertenece a al comic "SHAZAM!" en dónde es conocido como uno de los principales antagonistas y que mucho tiempo después se reinventó y se le otorgó el nombramiento de "Anti-Heroe" y justamente con esa versión es que se basaría está película, ya que por los momentos es difícil que "Black Adam" sea considerado como un enemigo en SHAZAM y por eso que para este film estrenado hace semanas se relata el origen de este poderoso personaje, una historia en dónde debemos ir muy al pasado en una época antigua cuando el Rey de Kahndaq, en sus ansias de poder, crea la Corona de Sabbac, un artefacto que justamente le brindará poder eterno y así podrá atrapar al mundo en un reinado de tiranía, pero en el momento de aparecer un gran mal, es justo que el mundo tenga un campeón protector, un joven chico es el elegido por el Consejo de Hechiceros brindándole un gran poder para liberar no solo su pueblo, sino a todo el mundo y así lo hace, derrota al Rey Ahk-Ton poniendo fin a una gran amenaza, pero eso fue hace mucho tiempo y es que en la época actual, Kahndaq sigue siendo oprimida aunque en esta oportunidad no por un Rey, sino por una organización criminal muy poderosa que se hace llamar "Intergang"; es por eso que el miedo, rabia y el deseo de venganza de una mujer hará lo imposible para traer de vuelta al campeón que hace mucho tiempo liberó a su pueblo aunque tal vez este conocido salvador no sea el héroe que todo esperan.

La necesidad de que alguien como Dwayne Johnson conocido como "The Rock" quería que este film sea diferente a lo hecho en DC Comics y WB, lo llevo a esperar mucho tiempo para el desarrollo de este film; creo que los productores como el actor y protagonista pensaron que era necesario hacer algo primeramente alejado a todo, pero pienso que al pensar mucho en como hacerla atractiva decidieron que así como ocurrió con "SHAZAM!" (2019), tuviera indicios de estas historias sean parte de ese universo que comenzó con "Man Of Steel"; ahora lo que si diferencia a estos dos films es como es vista las escenas de acción y por supuesto la manera de ser visto como representaciones heroicas. Para este film, Johnson contó con un director con el cual había trabajo en un proyecto anterior, hablo del director catalán Jaume Collet-Serra; ellos fueron parte de "Jungle Cruise" y repetirían para este film en dónde todo estaba enfocado en hacer lucir a Dwayne en cada escena de acción y es que si hay que hablar sobre esta película es más que nada las muchas escenas de acción que ofrece; en dónde las más me gustaron son las de la presentación de Teth-Adam y el enfrentamiento en la ciudad.
En anterioridad pude leer algunas opiniones en dónde reflejan que el guion no es de lo mejor y con respecto a eso creo que lo que pude observar fue el mal desarrollo de una buena idea, por ejemplo, el tema principal es que un pueblo oprimido, abandono por los muchos héroes que existen en el mundo, existen personas que están dispuestas a todo para que quienes comenten horribles crímenes reciban un castigo ejemplar, ellos no necesitan un héroe que lleve a la cárcel a los malos, ellos quieren que su héroe sea juez y ejecutor al mismo tiempo y eso es lo que obtendrán; en esa parte, la historia está bien representada y el problema es que lamentablemente debe recibir dosis de suavidad en el relato y transformar a este film en uno más dentro de este género; me hubiera gustado que la historia se enfoque en un debate sobre la necesidad de un salvador, pero qué tipo de salvador, que hace para salvar a un lugar y a sus habitantes, eso me hubiera parecido genial en vez de cerrar la historia con más de lo mismo.

For this film, Johnson had a director with whom he had worked in a previous project, I'm talking about the Catalan director Jaume Collet-Serra; they were part of "Jungle Cruise" and they would repeat for this film where everything was focused on making Dwayne look great in every action scene and if we have to talk about this film is more than anything the many action scenes it offers; where I liked the most are the presentation of Teth-Adam and the confrontation in the city.
Previously I could read some opinions where they reflect that the script is not the best and with respect to that I think what I could see was the bad development of a good idea, for example, the main theme is that an oppressed people, abandoned by the many heroes that exist in the world, there are people who are willing to do anything so that those who commit horrible crimes receive an exemplary punishment, they do not need a hero to take the bad guys to jail, they want their hero to be judge and executioner at the same time and that's what they will get; in that part, the story is well represented and the problem is that unfortunately it should receive doses of softness in the story and transform this film into one more in this genre; I would have liked the story to focus on a debate about the need for a savior, but what kind of savior, what does he do to save a place and its inhabitants, that would have been great instead of closing the story with more of the same.
Más que hablar de las actuaciones, me gustaría referirme a los personajes que aparecen en esta película, principalmente en el grupo "Justice Society of America"; como fan de DC Comics, más que nada en producciones animadas de TV, me pareció genial ver a "Hawkman" y "Dr. Fate"; ambos son importantes y creo que es un gran oportunidad para que el público que no sabe mucho de ellos, puedan descubrir más sobre estos personajes; la interpretación de Aldis Hodge como "Carter Hall / Hawkman" me gustó, hace de un buen líder y es correcto en su actuación, de igual manera la de Pierce Brosnan como "Kent Nelson / Doctor Fate", existe mucha elegancia y conocimiento por parte de la actuación de Brosnan y para mí es perfecto, es lo mejor del film sin necesidad de portar el casco, su actuación demuestra gran equilibrio porque quien interectua con él en varias escenas, solo tienen una o pocas líneas que decir, en cambio, Pierce debe llenar muchos espacios con su actuación. Los demás personajes de "JSA" como son "Cyclone" y "Atom Smasher" interpretados por Quintessa Swindell y Noah Centineo, puedo decir que son de relleno, están para momentos cómicos, necesarios para llenar vacíos en el argumento, pero para nada más, lamentablemente son víctimas de un muy simple y regular guion. Ahora, con respecto al trabajo de Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, solo puedo afirmar de que sí, este junto a su actuación en "Be Cool" (2005) son las que más me han gustado; en este film dice pocas líneas, mal humor, cómico, pero sin la necesidad de serlo, actitud arrogante, el personaje es perfecto para él y sin ninguna es un punto positivo del film.
More than talking about the performances, I would like to refer to the characters that appear in this movie, mainly in the group "Justice Society of America"; as a fan of DC Comics, more than anything in animated TV productions, I thought it was great to see "Hawkman" and "Dr. Fate"; both are important and I think it's a great opportunity for the audience that doesn't know much about them, to discover more about these characters. Now, regarding the work of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, I can only affirm that yes, this together with his performance in "Be Cool" (2005) are the ones I liked the most; in this film he says few lines, bad humor, comic, but without the need to be, arrogant attitude, the character is perfect for him and without any is a positive point of the film.
Me hubiera gustado disfrutar por completo este film; Black Adam no es una mala película, es muy entretenida aunque tiene un problema y es lo intrascendente del villano, no hay importancia en desarrollar al villano y es ahí donde en mi opinión existe un gran vacío de la historia, cosa contraria a lo que sucede en SHAZAM! en dónde la historia del héroe y del antagonista se relata a la par y ayuda mucho al desarrollo del film; como me hubiera gustado ver una mejor historia de los villanos así como un mejor uso del personaje de "Amanda Waller" y es que eso me queda de este film el cual tenía el potencial para hacer algo mejor y lamentablemente no pudo ser. También existe la crítica de lo pequeño del film, en especial del tercer acto final; sé que las escenografías, la mayoría si no hechas en CGI, pero hubo varias escenas que me hicieron recordar a series de bajo presupuesto o un mal uso del CGI cómo se observan en series de TV basados en personajes de DC Comics y Marvel; en realidad hay muchas cosas que no me gustaron, que sobraron, sea por el mal guion o por la mala actuación de otros actores que en próximos films tendrán más importancia en la historia y espero que con este cambio de directiva en DC Films, puedan desarrollar mejores películas. Seguramente cuando vuelva a ver este film lo disfrutaré más; tiene buenas escenas de acción, buena interpretación de varios personajes y sí, creo que por varias cosas, están ante una buena oportunidad de desarrollar alguna que otra secuela y solo espero que sigan dando lo que el público quiere, pero ojalá que no se enfoque en un solo tipo de público y así creen por completo una producción de calidad.
I would have liked to enjoy this film completely; Black Adam is not a bad movie, it is very entertaining although it has a problem and it is the inconsequential of the villain, there is no importance in developing the villain and it is there where in my opinion there is a great emptiness of the story, contrary to what happens in SHAZAM! where the story of the hero and the antagonist is told at the same time and helps a lot to the development of the film; as I would have liked to see a better story of the villains as well as a better use of the character of "Amanda Waller" and that is what I have left of this film which had the potential to do something better and unfortunately could not be. There is also the criticism of the smallness of the film, especially the final third act; I know that the scenery, most if not made in CGI, but there were several scenes that reminded me of low budget series or a bad use of CGI as seen in TV series based on DC Comics and Marvel characters; actually there are many things that I did not like, that were left over, either by the bad script or by the poor performance of other actors that in future films will have more importance in the story and I hope that with this change of directive in DC Films, they can develop better films. Surely when I see this film again I will enjoy it more; it has good action scenes, good interpretation of several characters and yes, I think that for several things, they are facing a good opportunity to develop some sequel and I just hope they continue to give what the public wants, but hopefully they do not focus on a single type of audience and thus create a complete quality production.
