Películas basadas en dramas deportivos han existido y existirán siempre, todas hechas desde la base de la superación, de encontrar motivos que te lleven al éxito, de romper barreras y de hasta de unión, desde muy corta edad he visto un gran número de estas películas, historias ficticias y basadas en hechos reales, películas como "Rocky" y "Chariots of Fire" son grandes ejemplos de las características antes citadas; cada una de estas historias están formadas por el atleta haciendo lo que primeramente se piensa que es imposible de lograr, pero con el verdadero apoyo alcanza lo incansable, no tengo duda que muchas de estas historias a pesar de ser algo repetitivas pueden mostrar un mensaje motivador y hasta puede crear mucho más impacto si llegan a hacerse bien.

Movies based on sports dramas have always existed and will always exist, all made from the basis of overcoming, finding reasons that lead you to success, breaking barriers and even union, from a very young age I have seen a large number of these films, fictional stories and based on real events, movies like "Rocky" and "Chariots of Fire" are great examples of the above characteristics; Each of these stories are made up of the athlete doing what at first is thought to be impossible to achieve, but with true support achieves the tireless, I have no doubt that many of these stories despite being somewhat repetitive can show a motivational message and can even create much more impact if they are done well.
En "Bruised" veremos la historia de Jackie "Pretty Bull" Justice, una ex peleadora de MMA (Artes Marciales Mixtas) que desde hace un tiempo enfrenta la vida de una forma que nunca creyó en hacer, problemas familiares y adicciones son las causas que la alejaron del deporte que pudo darle todo; Jackie es una mujer que vive bajo la sombra de lo que pudo ser y en cualquier lugar siempre encontrará a alguien que se lo hace saber, sin embargo, la vida le da una nueva oportunidad, un motivo para volver a la jaula de pelea, un inesperado chance que podrá darle un impulso para que ella pueda dar un máximo esfuerzo para ganar el máximo título de todos.
In "Bruised" we will see the story of Jackie "Pretty Bull" Justice, a former MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter who for some time now has been facing life in a way she never believed in doing, family problems and addictions are the causes that kept her away from the sport that could have given her everything; Jackie is a woman who lives under the shadow of what she could have been and anywhere she will always find someone to let her know it, however, life gives her a new opportunity, a reason to return to the fighting cage, an unexpected chance that can give her a new impulse so that she can give a maximum effort to win the greatest title of all.
Este film significa el estreno de Halle Berry en la dirección y para ser su primera vez tiene cosas buenas y por supuesto malas, primero me enfocaré en lo bueno, me gustó lo caótico y hasta difuso de las primeras imágenes, es un reflejo de lo que es la vida del personaje principal en ese momento de su vida, nada es claro, todo es violento, con miedo, vergüenza y eso lo hace notar en cada toma y mientras más enfocada está "Jackie", es entonces que las imágenes se hacen estables y más nítidas, ahí es un buen trabajo; ahora lo malo, creo que lo malo está en cómo dirigir a los actores que participan en el film, hay rigidez en algunos y en otros hay sobre actuación, lo otro es la decisión de cortar por momentos tomas de la pelea principal para dirigirse a los actores que hacen de comentaristas, es algo que no me pareció para nada bueno, aunque la pelea en sí está bien filmada.
El guion fue escrito por Michelle Rosenfarb, tal vez este es el punto más débil del film, sin ninguna duda está hecho para que Berry pueda lucir en cada escena, pero lo que respecta a otros personajes no porque no tienen la importancia que deberían tener en el acto final de esta historia, el hecho de hacer una historia para que brille la estrella de film no significa que los demás personajes los deseches de una forma que afectan al desarrollo de la historia, es algo que no me gustó para nada, creo que se pudo hacer un mejor desarrollo paras algunos de los personajes que considero importante porque sirven de apoyo al Jackie en el transcurso de la historia.
This film means the debut of Halle Berry in directing and for her first time it has good and bad things, first I will focus on the good, I liked the chaotic and even diffuse of the first images, it is a reflection of what is the life of the main character at that moment of her life, nothing is clear, everything is violent, with fear, shame and that makes it noticeable in every shot and the more focused is "Jackie", then the images become stable and sharper, there is a good job; now the bad thing, I think the bad thing is in how to direct the actors who participate in the film, there is rigidity in some and in others there is over acting, the other thing is the decision to cut at times shots of the main fight to address the actors who play commentators, is something that I did not find at all good, although the fight itself is well filmed.
The script was written by Michelle Rosenfarb, maybe this is the weakest point of the film, without any doubt it is made so that Berry can show off in every scene, but what concerns other characters no because they don't have the importance they should have in the final act of this story, the fact of making a story for the star of the film to shine does not mean that the other characters are discarded in a way that affects the development of the story, it is something that I did not like at all, I think that a better development could have been made for some of the characters that I consider important because they serve as support to Jackie in the course of the story.
Como dije anteriormente, un film dirigido por Halle Berry, con un guion hecho para que ella fuera la única protagonista, era claro que está actriz se luciera en varias escenas; pienso que su interpretación de "Jackie Justice" es buena, me gusta el miedo, la frustración, la depresión, tristeza, la ansiedad que muestra en sus gestos, en su rostro, pienso que eso es lo mejor de este film, la historia enfocada en este personaje sirve gracias a la actuación de Berry, en la parte del entrenamiento y la pelea, pienso que hace un buen trabajo, sé que ella realizó un gran investigación de todo lo referente a las MMA y se ve que hizo muy bien su trabajo, es una mujer atlética y seguro que su forma física la ayudo mucho en esa gran pelea que hay en el film.
As I said before, a film directed by Halle Berry, with a script made for her to be the only protagonist, it was clear that this actress would shine in several scenes; I think her interpretation of "Jackie Justice" is good, I like the fear, frustration, depression, sadness, anxiety that she shows in her gestures, in her face, I think that's the best of this film, the story focused on this character serves thanks to the performance of Berry, in the training and fighting part, I think she does a good job, I know she did a great research on everything related to MMA and I can see she did her job very well, she is an athletic woman and I'm sure her physical shape helped her a lot in that great fight that is in the film.
He visto muchas peleas de MMA, he visto peleadores estar cerca de la gloria y después derrumbarse y también he visto a peleadores recuperar el camino, la motivación y volver a ser victoriosos, creo que cada quien debe luchar contra demonios nuevos o antiguos para poder hacer frente a los retos que da la vida, esto es lo que trata esta película, una historia en dónde la perdida de vida, motivación, autocontrol, hace que se pierda las mejores ocasiones para tener una mejor vida, esto es lo que más me ha gustado de este film, muestras cosas reales que se viven en un deporte de contacto como son las artes marciales mixtas, el manejo de sus promotores, la ansiedad que crea vivir derrotas, una tras otra, la necesidad del reconocimiento, pero hay algo más importante que muestra la historia de esta fuerte mujer y es el perdón que debemos darnos para transitar un nuevo y mejor camino; a pesar de tener fallos, disfrute está historia, la cual creo que pudo ser mejor si se fueran desarrollado otras cosas que de forma apresurada afectan al film, pero creo que el trabajo direccional y la actuación de Halle Berry sea buena y a pesar de que Bruised no es perfecta ni pasará a la historia como una de los mejores dramas deportivos, pero es un film entretenido, con un mensaje de lucha y superación.
I have seen many MMA fights, I have seen fighters be close to glory and then collapse and I have also seen fighters recover the way, the motivation and become victorious again, I believe that everyone must fight against new or old demons to face the challenges that life gives, this is what this film is about, a story where the loss of life, motivation, self-control, makes you lose the best opportunities to have a better life, This is what I liked most about this film, it shows real things that are lived in a contact sport such as mixed martial arts, the management of their promoters, the anxiety that creates to live defeats, one after another, the need for recognition, but there is something more important that shows the story of this strong woman and is the forgiveness that we must give ourselves to walk a new and better way; despite having flaws, I enjoyed this story, which I think could have been better if other things were developed in a rushed way that affect the film, but I think the directional work and the performance of Halle Berry is good and although Bruised is not perfect nor will go down in history as one of the best sports dramas, but it is an entertaining film, with a message of struggle and overcoming.
