Películas de acción en verano; cada año se espera el film de acción que está específicamente realizadas para que en dos horas (o menos o más) entretengan al público; films con historias simples, pero con escenas llenas de fantásticas, persecuciones, disparos, peleas, en sí, películas llenas de acción y nada más; en este año desde el comienzo del pasado verano, el film "Top Gun Maverick" recibió el nombramiento de "El Mejor Film de Acción", no solo del verano, sino del año, un éxito rotundo, inesperado para la secuela de un film que se estrenó hace más de 30 años; ese film tiene todas las características antes dichas, historia repetitiva, buenas escenas de acción, de persecución, combates, fan service y Tom Cruise de protagonista y con todo eso era difícil de alcanzar y de superar aunque a final del verano sería el estreno de un film que justamente presentaba una historia que se veía divertida, con buenas escenas de acción, peleas, disparos y no solo un protagonista famoso sino varios actores famosos, sin ninguna duda de que este film tuvo todo para se consideró como el mejor film de acción del año.

Action movies in the summer; every year we wait for the action film that is specifically made to entertain the public in two hours (or less or more); films with simple stories, but with scenes full of fantastic, chases, shootings, fights, in itself, films full of action and nothing more; this year since the beginning of last summer, the film "Top Gun Maverick" was named "The Best Action Film", not only of the summer, but of the year, a resounding success, unexpected for the sequel of a film that was released more than 30 years ago; that film has all the characteristics mentioned above, repetitive story, good action scenes, chase scenes, fighting, fan service and Tom Cruise as the main character and with all that it was difficult to reach and overcome although at the end of the summer would be the release of a film that just presented a story that looked fun, with good action scenes, fights, shooting and not only a famous protagonist but several famous actors, without any doubt that this film had everything to be considered as the best action film of the year.
Raramente, estoy yendo al cine a ver este tipo de films de acción y es que siendo sincero no me motiva tanto ir a ver películas en dónde sé que a pesar de tener escenas posiblemente extraordinarias sé que al finalizar diré que hubiera disfrutado más si veo esta película en la comodidad de mi hogar, aunque no falta esa producción que veo en mi casa y después de terminar la película digo "Este film era para verlo en el cine"; sé que es muy contradictorio, pero este estilo de películas como la que hago reseña en esta publicación, no tengo ninguna deuda de que la decisión de esperar a al estreno en formato digital fue una buena decisión. En "Bullet Train" veremos la historia de un hombre el cual ha recibido el nombre de "Ladybug" es contratado para retirar un maletín que está en un Tren Bala en Tokyo; está parece ser una simple misión, pero en realidad es una muy complicada y eso es por un gran número de factores, estos son de que en el tren están como pasajeros un grupo de asesinos los cuales también tienen interés en el maletín; es por eso que "Ladybug" deberá enfrentar a enemigos peligrosos, pensando que tal vez su característica mala suerte o el destino lo ha llevado a esta situación en la cual lo que consideró cómo una tarea fácil de hacer se convirtió en una situación de vida o muerte.
Rarely, I am going to the movies to see this type of action films and being honest I am not so motivated to go to see movies where I know that despite having possibly extraordinary scenes I know that at the end I will say that I would have enjoyed more if I see this movie in the comfort of my home, although there is no lack of that production that I see at home and after finishing the movie I say "This film was to see it in the theater"; I know it is very contradictory, but this style of films like the one I review in this publication, I have no doubt that the decision to wait for the release in digital format was a good decision. In "Bullet Train " we will see the story of a man who has received the name of "Ladybug" is hired to remove a briefcase that is in a Bullet Train in Tokyo; this seems to be a simple mission, but in reality is a very complicated and that is for a number of factors, these are that in the train are as passengers a group of assassins who also have an interest in the briefcase; That is why "Ladybug" will have to face dangerous enemies, thinking that maybe his characteristic bad luck or fate has led him to this situation in which what he considered an easy task to do became a life or death situation.
Este film originalmente iba a ser dirigido por Antoine Fuqua, pero al final ese rol lo cumplió David Leitch quien estuvo ligado a la dirección del primer film de "John Wick" y quién dirigió "Deadpool 2", "Hobbs & Shaw" y una de las películas que siempre me gusta ver cómo es "Atomic Blonde", con estas últimas tres películas, era muy claro de que este nuevo film tendría acción y comedia; me gustaron las escenas acción, las coreografías en las peleas fueron muy bien hechas, son entretenidas, divertidas y me pareció genial que cada actor tuviera el tiempo preciso en esas escenas demostrando un buen trabajo; la película tiene un buen ritmo entre los flashback, diálogos con mucho humor y escenas de acción; en mi opinión no existe ninguna pausa.
El guion realizado por Zak Olkewicz del cual está basado en la novela "Maria Beetle" escrita por Kōtarō Isaka; a pesar de saber de dónde se basó el guionista para realizar esta historia y que los cambios (muy criticados) con el material original fue el cambio de raza de los protagonistas de esta historia; estoy 100% convencido de que Olkewicz hizo un homenaje a Tarantino por cómo es la imagen y el desarrollo de estos personajes y es que en varias escenas del film, me hicieron recordar no solo a Tarantino, sino también a películas de Guy Ritchie, creo que el conjunto tanto de Leitch en la dirección y el guionista tuvieron la oportunidad de hacer (como ya dije) un homenaje a estos directores o simplemente copiar su estilo tanto de escribir una historia y de como dirigirlas y es que por ejemplo, hay muchas cosas que me hicieron recordar a "Reservoir Dogs", "Kill Bill" y "The Hateful Eight", por nombrar algunas, pero aparte de eso, creo que está historia de asesinos y demás, hay una clara referencia al cómo la suerte, la mala suerte o el destino es algo muy importante y de como puede regir la vida de muchas personas, este film es algo reflexivo aunque las muchas escenas de acción y comedia parece que opaca ese tema por completo.
This film was originally going to be directed by Antoine Fuqua, but in the end that role was filled by David Leitch who was linked to the direction of the first "John Wick" film and who directed "Deadpool 2", "Hobbs & Shaw" and one of the films that I always like to see is "Atomic Blonde", with these last three films, it was very clear that this new film would have action and comedy; I liked the action scenes, the choreographies in the fights were very well done, they are entertaining, funny and I thought it was great that each actor had the precise time in those scenes showing a good job; the movie has a good rhythm between the flashbacks, dialogues with a lot of humor and action scenes; in my opinion there is no pause.
The screenplay made by Zak Olkewicz of which is based on the novel "Maria Beetle" written by Kōtarō Isaka; despite knowing where the screenwriter was based on to make this story and that the changes (much criticized) with the original material was the change of race of the protagonists of this story; I am 100% convinced that Olkewicz made a tribute to Tarantino for how is the image and the development of these characters and is that in several scenes of the film, they reminded me not only to Tarantino, but also to films of Guy Ritchie, I think that the set of both Leitch in the direction and the screenwriter had the opportunity to make (as I said) a tribute to these directors or simply copy their style of both writing a story and how to direct them and is that for example, there are many things that reminded me of "Reservoir Dogs", "Kill Bill" and "The Hateful Eight", to name a few, but apart from that, I think this story of assassins and so on, there is a clear reference to how luck, bad luck or fate is something very important and how it can rule the lives of many people, this film is somewhat reflective although the many action scenes and comedy seems to overshadow that theme completely.
Al ver la actuación de Brad Pitt, pensaba que seguramente este fue la actuación más sencilla que ha realizado en años, con esto no digo que sea la mejor, pero lo que si estoy seguro es que es muy simple; por ejemplo, su personaje es cómico, no es el típico protagonista, el tipo rudo, superpreparado, que es experto en todo, es alguien que cree en la buena y mala suerte, en su mala suerte que siempre lo lleva a situaciones peligrosas a pesar de considerarse como uno de los mejores dentro de su profesión; hubo momentos en dónde imagine a Ryan Reynolds como "Ladybug" y a pesar de no ser mi actor favorito, creo que en esta oportunidad hubiera quedado perfecto. Las actuaciones de Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson y Brian Tyree Henry, son buenas, sus personajes me gustaron; King como "The Prince" es despedida, calculadora, completamente loca, su personaje es divertido; ahora lo que hacen Aaron y Brian como "Tangerine" y "Lemon" es muy bueno, mis personajes favoritos del film; son dos hermanos, locos con gran respeto al trabajo y en esta historia proveen tanto acción como comedia y me gustaría que alguien de Sony Pictures decidiera hacer un spin-off de estos personajes, sería genial.
Watching Brad Pitt's performance, I was thinking that this was probably the simplest performance he's given in years, I'm not saying it's the best, but what I am sure is that it's very simple; for example, his character is comic, he is not the typical protagonist, the tough guy, super prepared, who is an expert in everything, he is someone who believes in good and bad luck, in his bad luck that always leads him to dangerous situations despite being considered one of the best in his profession; there were moments where I imagined Ryan Reynolds as "Ladybug" and even though he is not my favorite actor, I think he would have been perfect in this opportunity. The performances of Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry, are good, I liked their characters; King as "The Prince" is fired, calculating, completely crazy, his character is funny; now what Aaron and Brian do as "Tangerine" and "Lemon" is very good, my favorite characters in the film; they are two brothers, crazy with great respect for the job and in this story they provide both action and comedy and I wish someone from Sony Pictures decided to make a spin-off of these characters, it would be great.
Me gustó Bullet Train, me entretuvo en las dos horas de duración y a pesar de no ser perfecta por su poca originalidad y de ese tercer acto muy a lo "Fast & Furious", creo que es un film que cumple; ahora ¿Era perfecta para ver en el cine? Mi respuesta es no, seguramente la opinión que tengo ahora después de verla en la comodidad de mi hogar no la tuviera si hubiera deseado verla en el cine y es donde pienso que las expectativas ayudan en algunos momentos a decidir que ver o no en una sala de cine y es que después de leer opiniones mixtas sobre este film, me ayudaron a bajar aún más mis expectativas sobre esta película y eso ayudó (mucho) a disfrutar aún más de esta producción; seguramente si su estreno se hubiera realizado en algún servicio de streaming como Netflix, tal vez sería un completo éxito y se hablaría de una nueva franquicia, pero no sé por qué a pesar de recaudar buen dinero, creo que dentro de poco nadie la recordara, será otro film más de acción, comedia, con algo de buen uso del CGI y de protagonistas con actores famosos; nada de especial, original ni mucho menos con personajes inolvidables; es de esos films que debieron terminar mejor, con mejores escenas, algo mejor hecho en vez de hacer algo que simule a otros films, esa es mi crítica negativa sobre esta producción, pero de igual manera recomiendo esta película, ya que en mi opinión cumple con entretener.
I liked Bullet Train, I was entertained in the two hours of duration and despite not being perfect for its lack of originality and that third act very "Fast & Furious", I think it is a film that fulfills; now was it perfect to see in the theater? My answer is no, surely the opinion I have now after seeing it in the comfort of my home I would not have if I had wanted to see it in the theater and that is where I think that expectations help at times to decide what to see or not in a movie theater and after reading mixed opinions about this film, they helped me to lower my expectations even more about this film and that helped (a lot) to enjoy this production even more; surely if its release would have been on some streaming service like Netflix, maybe it would be a complete success and there would be talk of a new franchise, but I don't know why despite raising good money, I think that soon no one will remember it, it will be just another action film, comedy, with some good use of CGI and protagonists with famous actors; nothing special, original or much less with unforgettable characters; it is one of those films that should have ended better, with better scenes, something better done instead of doing something that simulates other films, that is my negative criticism about this production, but I still recommend this movie, because in my opinion it entertains.
