En este fin de semana, sin planearlo, decidí ver dos series originales de Netflix, de las cuales es el género de la comedia que las más identifican; una es protagonizada por un héroe de acción clásico del cine y la otra posiblemente sea la primera serie producida en Latinoamérica que veo de Netflix.

A pesar de que con esta serie fue que termine el domingo de este improvisado (y corto) maratón de series cómicas, decidí comenzar mi reseña con la primera producción protagonizada por Arnold Schwarzenegger para Netflix. En "FUBAR", veremos la historia del experimentado agente de la CIA, "Luke Brunner", el cual está cerca de alcanzar su retiro y que justamente acepta una última misión la cual es recuperar a su familia la cual por su trabajo se ha separado varias veces por mantener su vida de agente en secreto, pero justamente un día cuando está cerca de cerrar su última misión en la agencia, descubre que su hija "Emma", también es una agente encubierta y ese descubrimiento hará que todo cambie y peor aún porque hace que se dificulte su trabajo, la relación con su exesposa, su hijo, enemigos y por supuesto con su hija, creando diferentes situaciones tanto de acción, drama y por supuesto de comedia.
Although it was with this series that I ended the Sunday of this improvised (and short) comedy series marathon, I decided to start my review with the first production starring Arnold Schwarzenegger for Netflix. In "FUBAR", we will see the story of the experienced CIA agent, "Luke Brunner", who is close to reach his retirement and who justly accepts one last mission which is to recover his family which by his work has been separated several times by keeping his life as an agent in secret, but just one day when he is close to close his last mission in the agency, He discovers that his daughter "Emma", is also an undercover agent and that discovery will change everything and even worse because it makes his work difficult, his relationship with his ex-wife, his son, enemies and of course with his daughter, creating different situations of action, drama and of course comedy.
Originalmente, no estaba muy motivado por ver esta serie, no me sentía muy atraído y es que no estaba muy de acuerdo a la comparación que se hizo con el film protagonizado por Schwarzenegger llamado "True Lies" y al momento de ver los ocho episodios que conforman está primera temporada, pude comparar a esta serie con otros de acción y comedia que he visto tanto de los 80' como 90', eso me pareció bien, pero estoy completamente seguro que pudo ser mejor; una de las quejas que tengo sobre esta serie proviene a las escenas de acción en dónde no creo que sean las mejores realizadas, algunas son caricaturesca y eso resta importancia en los personajes que las llevan a cabo; lo otro que lamento y que es evidente es el notorio poco presupuesto en la producción, tanto en la creación de escenografías, como el uso del CGI, es muy pobre para esta época.
La historia es algo que está entre lo bueno y lo malo, por ejemplo la relación entre padre e hija es algo que en mi opinión funciona, sin importar que tan molesto puede ser el personaje de "Emma", Interpretado por Monica Barbaro, la cual mejora en el transcurso de la historia y repito, la relación entre un padre sobre protector y una hija que desea y necesita demostrar que es mejor que su padre es algo que funciona, pero a la vez opaca las demás y muchas tramas de la serie y justamente es eso mi principal queja de "FUBAR"; todo lo relacionado con los muchos otros personajes que hacen presencia en esta serie es muy forzado y aburrido, es fácil perder interés porque para mí, no es importante para la historia principal; es un constante e innecesario relleno y me hace pensar que está serie pudo contar con episodios más cortos, hacerla más compacta y seguramente sería mejor.

The story is something between good and bad, for example the relationship between father and daughter is something that in my opinion works, no matter how annoying the character of "Emma" can be, Played by Monica Barbaro, which improves in the course of the story and I repeat, the relationship between an over protective father and a daughter who wants and needs to prove she is better than her father is something that works, but at the same time overshadows the other and many plots of the series and just that is my main complaint of "FUBAR"; everything related to the many other characters that make presence in this series is very forced and boring, it is easy to lose interest because for me, it is not important for the main story; it is a constant and unnecessary filler and makes me think that this series could have had shorter episodes, make it more compact and it would surely be better.
"División Palermo" es una de las series más cómica que he visto en este año, es una producción muy bien escrita, dirigida y muy bien actuada; es una sátira sobre el tema de la inclusión, me refiero el punto de vista de la sociedad, la política, el entretenimiento y demás. Esta producción argentina relata la historia de un grupo de personajes que representan a las llamadas minorías por la sociedad y que forman parte de una guardia comunal organizado por la policía; un trabajo sencillo que se complica cuando uno de estos patrulleros es herido de gravedad por un grupo de delincuentes que aterroriza a la comunidad, es ese momento en dónde este grupo minoritario debes dar un paso adelante demostrando valentía y compromiso para hacer justicia.
"División Palermo" (Community Squad) is one of the funniest series I have seen this year, it is a very well written, directed and very well acted production; it is a satire on the subject of inclusion, I mean the point of view of society, politics, entertainment and so on. This Argentine production tells the story of a group of characters who represent the so-called minorities by society and who are part of a communal guard organized by the police; a simple job that is complicated when one of these patrolmen is seriously injured by a group of criminals who terrorize the community, it is that moment where this minority group must step forward showing courage and commitment to do justice.
Esta serie es una grata sorpresa en Netflix, es de lo más cómico que he visto en este año y todo es debido por lo inteligente de su desarrollo; la elección de los personajes y de la manera como cada uno está representado es algo muy genial; se nota la influencia de comedias americanas de los 80' y 90', pero también sabe usar lo ingenioso del latinoamericano, en especial del argentino el cual encuentro que es muy ágil para hacer comedia, aunque también creo que tiene un buen punto positivo porque está serie no se enfoca en un solo público o zona latinoamericana, creo que es bastante universal, la manera de hacer comedia es muy directa, es fácil de entender, es muy visual, física, rápida de captar y justamente eso la hace ser genial.
Hay un factor importante en esta serie y es quien hizo el casting puedo considerarlo como un genio, pero no hay duda que la visión de Santiago Korovsky es lo que hizo que está producción sea un completo éxito; él cumple la función de creador, director, con guionista y protagonista principal, está historia está relatada desde el punto de vista de "Felipe Rozenfeld", personaje Interpretado por Santiago; me gusta como desde el punto de vista de alguien deprimido, que no se ve como exitoso, que vive con miedo, decida ser parte de un grupo de vigilancia y de apoyo policial, eso hace que se abra un abanico de diferentes situaciones que para este tiempo no son vistas como cómicas, pero con lo bien escrita de la historia no solo es comedia, sino también se convierte en sátira y crítica a la sociedad que de una manera u otra señala y rechaza a las minorías, todo desde un relato lleno de humor. Esta serie es perfecta, es muy cómica, es de lo mejor y eso lo digo porque son ese tipo de producciones que se pueden volver a ver y seguramente te harán reír.

Cada una de estas series estrenadas en este año han Sido renovadas por una temporada más, personalmente estoy más enfocado en ver cómo se desarrollará la historia de "División Palermo" que me pareció excelente, es de lo mejor que ha ofrecido Netflix en lo que va de año; con respecto a "FUBAR", puede que le dé otra oportunidad esperando a que mejore la producción y que cuentan con mejores guionistas y directores; tiene potencial con respecto a la historia de Padre e Hija y deben obligatoriamente escribir mejor las demás tramas de los otros personajes. Al final, ambas series son entretenidas y siempre he dicho que eso es importante para una producción original de Netflix y por eso, dentro de esa plataforma, ambas series con consideradas como un éxito.
