El film sudafricano que se basa de un lamentable hecho para contar una historia de venganza... "I Am All Girls"
Tercer film no americano que veo en este año, está vez decidí ver el nuevo film de Netflix de origen sudafricano que se basa en el tráfico sexual infantil, un hecho que lamentablemente parece que no tendrá un inmediato fin a causa de la gran impunidad que tiene las personas que practican dicho crimen.

The South African film that is based on an unfortunate event to tell a story of revenge... "I Am All Girls"
Third non-American film that I see this year, this time I decided to watch the new Netflix film of South African origin that is based on child sex trafficking, a fact that unfortunately seems that it will not have an immediate end because of the great impunity that has the people who practice such crime.
"I Am All Girls" nos relata la historia cruda del tráfico sexual de menores de edad, en especial la de la desaparición de un grupo de 6 niñas que ocurrió en 1994 a final del apartheid en Sudáfrica; mucho tiempo después un número de asesinatos hará que la detective Jodie, una fuerte mujer con ganas de hacer justicia, deba comenzar una investigación que la podrá llevar al descubrimiento de una red de tráfico infantil en donde podrá estar relacionando a personas muy poderosas, ella no solo deberá enfrentar al sistema que protege a criminales sino a un vigilante que busca venganza de los que le hicieron daño.
"I Am All Girls" tells the raw story of the sex trafficking of minors, especially the disappearance of a group of 6 girls that occurred in 1994 at the end of apartheid in South Africa; long after a number of murders will make the detective Jodie, a strong woman eager to do justice, must begin an investigation that may lead her to the discovery of a child trafficking network where it may be relating to very powerful people, she will not only face the system that protects criminals but a vigilante who seeks revenge on those who hurt her.
Este film fue estrenado el pasado 14 de mayo en Netflix, la dirección fue por parte de Donovan Marsh siendo este su octavo film; me gustó mucho las diferentes imágenes que muestra en su película, en algunas escenas busca que seamos testigos de la dura vida de uno de sus personajes y eso es muy importante, nos lleva a lugares en dónde ninguna persona, niño, adolecente y adulto no deberían estar, imágenes que nos hace aborrecer situaciones que no debieran existir, me gusta las muchas tomas aéreas para mostrar la ciudad como la zona rural, la diferencia entre ambas zonas y personas que muestran las diferentes realidades que ocurren no solo en ese país sino en muchos otros y de cómo se hace referencia que sin importar en qué zona vivas, el peligro siempre estará ahí.
Los guionistas Wayne Fitzjohn y Marcell Greeff, hacen uno de los puntos positivos del film, tomaron un hecho verdadero que parece que estuvo oculto por un gran tiempo y crearon un thriller bueno en dónde se explora temas como lidiar con el trauma como el abuso sexual, esclavitud, rapto, soledad, muchas cosas que debe vivir víctimas si es que en algún momento pueden tener la oportunidad de vivir, también se desarrolla el tema sobre qué tipo de justicia es la que debe ser usada para detener a estos criminales, creo que este tema es uno muy importante porque crea un debate de cómo hacer pagar a estos criminales. Ambos guionistas desarrollaron por gran momento una historia ficticia basada en tristes y reales hechos, es una gran idea que busca que lo sucedido hace 27 años atrás no se olvide porque todavía siguen sucediendo.
This film was released last May 14 on Netflix, the direction was by Donovan Marsh being this his eighth film; I really liked the different images he shows in his film, in some scenes he looks for us to be witnesses of the hard life of one of his characters and that is very important, he takes us to places where no person, child, teenager and adult should not be, images that make us despise situations that should not exist, I like the many aerial shots to show the city as well as the rural area, the difference between both areas and people that show the different realities that occur not only in that country but in many others and how it makes reference that no matter in which area you live, the danger will always be there.
The screenwriters Wayne Fitzjohn and Marcell Greeff, make one of the good points of the film, they took a true fact that seems to have been hidden for a long time and created a good thriller where they explore issues like dealing with trauma such as sexual abuse, slavery, abduction, loneliness, many things that victims must live through if they ever get the chance to live, it also develops the theme of what kind of justice should be used to stop these criminals, I think this theme is a very important one because it creates a debate on how to make these criminals pay. Both screenwriters developed for a great moment a fictional story based on sad and real facts, it is a great idea that seeks that what happened 27 years ago is not forgotten because they are still happening.
Con respecto a las actuaciones de sus dos protagonistas, me gustó mucho la que hizo Hlubi Mboya interpretando a "Ntombi", su actuación es buena, la muestra de fuerza y tristeza es algo que me sorprendió, el odio, la rabia, las ganas de hacer justicia es algo que muchas personas se pueden identificar sin importar sí son víctimas o no de algún abuso, su perosnajes es el más importante de esta historia sin ninguna duda, alguien que a pesar de tener una vida, está nunca será completa por todo lo que le quitaron; su otra protagonista Erica Wessels interpretando a "Jodie Snyman" me costó en un principio creer en su personaje o en su actuación, no me gustó mucho su personaje porque en realidad no está muy desarrollado, logramos saber algo de ella, pero nada del porqué de sus motivos por lo cual siempre quiere ayudar en los más necesitados y de hacer justicia, una justicia dentro del sistema; lo bueno de esta película es que podemos comparar como la justicia trabaja desde punto de vista de cada uno de estos personajes, vemos su lucha, frustración, tristeza y rabia, son muy parecidos y con diferencias notables.
Regarding the performances of the two main characters, I really liked Hlubi Mboya playing "Ntombi", her performance is good, the show of strength and sadness is something that surprised me, the hate, the rage, the desire to do justice is something that many people can identify with regardless of whether they are victims of abuse or not, her character is the most important of this story without any doubt, someone who despite having a life, it will never be complete for everything that was taken away from her; her other protagonist Erica Wessels playing "Jodie Snyman" I found it hard at first to believe in her character or her performance, I did not like her character because it is not really very developed, we get to know something about her, but nothing about her motives for which she always wants to help those in need and to do justice, a justice within the system; The good thing about this film is that we can compare how justice works from the point of view of each of these characters, we see their struggle, frustration, sadness and anger, they are very similar and with notable differences.
"I Am All Girls" no es una película perfecta, tendrá algún que otro fallo y estoy seguro que muchas cosas pudieron cambiar para que fuera mejor, pero creo que lo importante de la denuncia como film es lo más importante porque eso es lo que sentí al terminar de ver esta historia, es claro que muchas cosas hechas en el pasado de Sudáfrica para encontrar un tipo de paz como fue el "Apartheid" no fue perfecto y criminales nunca fueron señalados, descubiertos, siguen viviendo de horribles crímenes como el tráfico sexual infantil, es impresionante como existe tanta impunidad en el mundo y que nadie luche contra estas organizaciones que deben ser descubiertas para que el mundo vea cómo lamentablemente existen personas que vende y pagan para cumplir con deseos de personas enfermas, esto es lo que me queda de ver este film, es una gran denuncia de estos crimines, es un llamado para ayudar a personas que sobreviven de estos malos actos, es el llamado para que exista una verdadera justicia y que se haga pagar a culpables, son muchos temas muy bien hecho en esta película.
"I Am All Girls" is not a perfect movie, it will have some failures and I am sure that many things could have been changed to make it better, but I think that the important of the denunciation as a film is the most important thing because that is what I felt when I finished watching this story, it is clear that many things done in the past in South Africa to find a kind of peace as was the "Apartheid" was not perfect and criminals were never pointed out, discovered, still living of horrible crimes such as child sex trafficking, It is impressive how there is so much impunity in the world and that no one fights against these organizations that should be discovered so that the world can see how unfortunately there are people who sell and pay to fulfill the desires of sick people, this is what I get from watching this film, is a great denunciation of these crimes, is a call to help people who survive from these evil acts, is the call for there to be a real justice and to make the guilty pay, there are many issues very well done in this film.
