Desde el pasado año, el MCU no solo busca dominar las salas de cine con sus producciones cinematográficas, sino también con producciones estrenadas en el servicio de streaming en Disney Plus; hasta el momento se han estrenado seis series de las cuales son protagonizadas por personajes que justamente solo tuvieron breves (algunos importantes momentos) en las anteriores fases de este universo cinematográfico. Cinco de estas series tiene conexión con lo que debe suceder en diferentes films, por ejemplo "WandaVision" y "What If...?" Tienen conexión con "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness"; la serie de "Loki" está conectada con "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" (próximo a estrenarse); "Ms Marvel" que estará en la secuela de Captain Marvel llamada "The Marvels" y no puedo olvidar a "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" que nos lleva a lo que será la cuarta película de "Captain America"; estás series con sus conexiones directas a films se hace obligatorio para sus fans el verlas, pero existen otras series en dónde se da una conclusión a un personaje (Hawkeye) o que pueda comenzar un universo aparte, un grupo de nuevos héroes que por los momentos estén alejados de cualquier film y en dónde se enfoquen en historias con diferentes orígenes para ser explotada en un futuro próximo.

Since last year, the MCU not only seeks to dominate movie theaters with its film productions, but also with productions released on the streaming service on Disney Plus; so far six series have been released of which are starring characters that justly only had brief (some important moments) in the previous phases of this cinematic universe. Five of these series have connections to what should happen in different films, for example "WandaVision" and "What If...?" They have a connection to "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness"; the "Loki" series is connected to "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" (coming soon); "Ms Marvel" which will be in the Captain Marvel sequel called "The Marvels" and I can't forget "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" which leads into what will be the fourth "Captain America" movie; these series with their direct connections to films are mandatory for their fans to watch, but there are other series where a conclusion is given to a character (Hawkeye) or that can start a separate universe, a group of new heroes that for the moment are away from any film and where they focus on stories with different origins to be exploited in the near future.
"Moon Knight"* es una de las series del MCU que más quería ver y no es que me considere un fiel fan de este personaje porque siendo sincero, no tengo (o tenía) conocimiento sobre lo que representa este héroe, sobre sus poderes, de sus enemigos y mucho menos sobre sus aliados; es por eso que tenía curiosidad en descubrir la historia de un héroe que está dividido en varias personalidades. En los seis episodios que conforman está miniserie veremos la historia de "Marc Spector" y "Steven Grant", dos personalidades muy diferente que viven dentro de la mente de un hombre que realizó un pacto con un antiguo Dios Egipcio llamado "Khonshu", para que ser un arma de justicia y defensor de los más débiles; Marc y Steve deberán usar sus diferentes dones para ser frente a un difícil enemigo, "Arthur Harrow", que sabe de forma parecida porque los estos dos hombres están pasando, pero cree que las maneras de hacer justicia por parte de Khonshu es lenta y poco efectiva, es por eso que decide realizar una cruzada para liberar a la Diosa Egipcia "Ammit" y así traer al mundo una verdadera justicia en dónde no solo se castigue a quien ya ha hecho mal sino a quien piense en hacerlo; es por eso que Marc, Steve, Khonshu y otros aliados deberán reunirse y crear un equilibrio para salvar al mundo de una justicia extrema.
"Moon Knight" is one of the series of the MCU that I most wanted to see and it's not that I consider myself a loyal fan of this character because to be honest, I have (or had) no knowledge about what this hero represents, about his powers, his enemies and much less about his allies; that's why I was curious to discover the story of a hero who is divided into several personalities. In the six episodes that make up this miniseries we will see the story of "Marc Spector" and "Steven Grant", two very different personalities who live inside the mind of a man who made a pact with an ancient Egyptian God called "Khonshu", to be a weapon of justice and defender of the weakest; Marc and Steve must use their different gifts to face a difficult enemy, "Arthur Harrow", who knows in a similar way why these two men are going through, but believes that the ways of doing justice by Khonshu is slow and ineffective, that is why he decides to make a crusade to free the Egyptian Goddess "Ammit" and thus bring to the world a true justice where not only punish those who have already done wrong but those who think of doing it; That is why Marc, Steve, Khonshu and other allies must come together and create a balance to save the world from extreme justice.
A pesar de que quería ver esta miniserie, no tenía muchas expectativas y eso era porque no quería hacer comparaciones con otras series de personajes de Marvel y es que al leer algunas opiniones en las redes sociales, inmediatamente creí que sería una versión más ligera de otras historias en dónde la violencia era importante por lo personajes que la protagonizaban, es por eso que con respecto a las escenas de acción en vez de sentirme decepcionado, supongo que fue lo mejor porque de esta manera pudieron explorar otras cosas que son impresionantes para definir a este héroe. La historia o la relación entre "Marc" y "Steven" es lo relevante en esta miniserie; el desarrollo o evolución de la relación entre ambos es lo mejor y esto es algo que aprecio en esta historia; desde el momento en enfocarse en la vida de un hombre obsesionado en la rica historia de Egipto, ignorante a cualquier peligro y que de forma violenta deba no solo saber que existe otra persona en su mente que quiere controlarlo y que tiene el poder de manifestar un guerrero justiciero que es avatar de un dios egipcio de la luna, hace que está historia en un principio sea divertida y cómica porque primero está la desconfianza y eso crea la lucha por el control de un cuerpo y después de un poder y eso hace que sea parte del género "Buddy", pero mientras transcurre los episodios, podemos ver cómo desde el cuarto, quinto y parte del sexto episodios, lo que antes pudiera ser considerado como una serie de comedia y acción, se transforma en otra cosa más al tratar un tema dramático, uno bien realizado en dónde podemos ver un duro origen para ambos personajes principales que se convertirán en víctimas y que lo extraño es que el poder que parece esclavizarlos es lo podrá al final unirlos para salvar al mundo.
Even though I wanted to see this miniseries, I didn't have many expectations and that was because I didn't want to make comparisons with other Marvel character series and when I read some opinions on social networks, I immediately thought it would be a lighter version of other stories where violence was important for the characters that starred it, that's why with respect to the action scenes instead of feeling disappointed, I guess it was for the best because this way they could explore other things that are impressive to define this hero. The story or the relationship between "Marc" and "Steven" is what is relevant in this miniseries; the development or evolution of the relationship between them is the best and this is something I appreciate in this story; from the moment to focus on the life of a man obsessed in the rich history of Egypt, ignorant to any danger and that violently must not only know that there is another person in his mind who wants to control him and has the power to manifest a vigilante warrior who is avatar of an Egyptian god of the moon, makes this story at first is fun and funny because first there is distrust and that creates the struggle for control of a body and then a power and that makes it part of the genre "Buddy", but as the episodes go on, we can see how from the fourth, fifth and part of the sixth episode, what before could be considered as a comedy and action series, transforms into something else by dealing with a dramatic theme, a well done one where we can see a hard origin for both main characters that will become victims and the strange thing is that the power that seems to enslave them is what will be able to unite them in the end to save the world.
Estoy seguro de que el mayor acierto para esta historia y para este personaje fue el contar con Oscar Isaac como protagonista principal, su actuación tanto de "Marc" como de "Steve" es lo mejor de esta miniserie; personalmente disfrute del la interpretación de Steve Grant, su nerviosismo, torpeza e ingenuidad puede sentirse molesto al principio porque pienso que el espectador quiere ver a Moon Knight en acción, pero mientras transcurre la historia el desarrollo de este personaje es mejor y se vuelve tan importante como el de Marc con o sin el traje, con esto no digo que el trabajo de Isaac es mejor interpretando tan uno de los dos, porque cuando es el momento del episodio 5, justamente la versión de ambos personajes es lo que hace que este episodio será muy importante. Del trabajo de un reconocido actor como Ethan Hawke solo puedo decir que es bueno para un tan limitado personaje, él también hace que el quinto episodio destaque porque puede mostrar algo diferente en tan poco tiempo de lo que se veía en la interpretación de su personaje; lamentablemente "Arthur Harrow" entra a la lista de villanos con muy poca importancia en el MCU y lamento que eso suceda porque se pierde un valioso actor que pudo crear un mejor impacto en la historia.
I am sure that the greatest success for this story and for this character was to have Oscar Isaac as the main protagonist, his performance as both "Marc" and "Steve" is the best of this miniseries; I personally enjoyed the interpretation of Steve Grant, his nervousness, clumsiness and naivety can feel annoying at the beginning because I think the viewer wants to see Moon Knight in action, but as the story goes on the development of this character is better and becomes as important as Marc with or without the suit, with this I am not saying that the work of Isaac is better playing so one of the two, because when it is time for episode 5, just the version of both characters is what makes this episode will be very important. Of the work of a recognized actor like Ethan Hawke I can only say that he is good for such a limited character, he also makes the fifth episode stand out because he can show something different in such a short time from what was seen in the interpretation of his character; unfortunately "Arthur Harrow" enters the list of villains with very little importance in the MCU and I regret that this happens because we lose a valuable actor who could create a better impact on the story.
Cada vez más disfruto estas historias cuando no tienen una relación con otras, creo que es un plus porque al enfocasrse en eso y no tanto en cameos o en escenas post-crédito hace que se disfrute aún más este tipo de historias. Moon Knight no es la más original, ni la mejor serie, pero es bastante entretenida y lo mejor es el gran potencial que tiene por lo que es su personaje principal y todo el asunto de las múltiples personalidades lo cual es algo importante por la lucha moral que existe entre ellos al momento de hacer justicia, esto es muy bueno porque esta batalla por hacer algo correcto se lleva a cabo de forma inmediata y no después y que esto sirva es gracias a la actuación de Oscar Isaac quien como dije es una un punto positivo contar con este tipo de actor, pero a la vez afecta al desarrollo del personaje porque es un actor cotizado y habrá que esperar en que momento está libre para hacer una segunda temporada (la cual exijo de forma inmediata) o una aparición en otra serie con otros personajes como por ejemplo el próximo de Daredevil o en alguna series que se rumora que pueden ser estrenadas en un futuro como son: Ghost Rider, Blade, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones y así formar porque no The Marvel Knights o Midnight Sons o Heroes for Hire, pero para que suceda eso habrá que esperar mucho y seguramente lo próximo dentro de este mundo de este héroe sea la confirmación del spin-off enfocado en mi otro personaje favorito de esta miniserie cómo es "Layla El-Faouly", interpretada por May Calamawy quien se convierte en "Scarlet Scarab" y tal vez sea de ese modo que podamos ver el regreso de este héroe. Me divertí con esta historia qué cumple con algo principal cómo es dar a conocer a este héroe y sé que hubo personas, leales fans, que esperaron algo más, pero siempre hay que recordar que estás historias del MCU son basadas en los comics de Marvel y no son calcadas de una forma fidedigna y que siempre se presta para la interpretación que podrá o no gustar.
I enjoy these stories more and more when they don't have a relationship with others, I think it's a plus because focusing on that and not so much on cameos or post-credits scenes makes this kind of stories even more enjoyable. Moon Knight is not the most original, nor the best series, but it is quite entertaining and the best thing is the great potential it has for what is its main character and the whole issue of multiple personalities which is something important for the moral struggle that exists between them at the time of justice, this is very good because this battle to do something right is carried out immediately and not later and that this serves is thanks to the performance of Oscar Isaac who as I said is a positive point to have this type of actor, but at the same time it affects the development of the character because he is a quoted actor and we will have to wait when he is free to do a second season (which I demand immediately) or an appearance in another series with other characters such as the next Daredevil or in some series that are rumored to be released in the future such as: Ghost Rider, Blade, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and so form why not The Marvel Knights or Midnight Sons or Heroes for Hire, but for that to happen we will have to wait a lot and surely the next thing in this world of this hero will be the confirmation of the spin-off focused on my other favorite character of this miniseries how is "Layla El-Faouly", played by May Calamawy who becomes "Scarlet Scarab" and maybe that's the way we can see the return of this hero. I had fun with this story which fulfills the main purpose of introducing this hero and I know that there were people, loyal fans, who expected something more, but we must always remember that these MCU stories are based on Marvel comics and are not faithfully copied and that always lends itself to interpretation that may or may not be liked.
