Ser adolescente puede ser una etapa difícil de la vida, más si en cualquier momento puedes explotar... "Spontaneous"
El género dentro del mundo del cine que menos me gusta ver es del "Romance", a pesar de esto he visto un gran de este tipo de películas, más que nada porque cuando al ver films pertenecientes al género "Coming-of-Age" la mayoría tienen un alto grado de romance en su historia; ahora las películas en que tengan una historia sobre cómo un adolescente debe hacer frente a los cambios de la vida, a un paso hacia la adultez, la mayoría de veces son películas que me gustan ver y creo que ahora más porque se ha evolucionado en crear buenas historias con los mismos problemas que enfrenta cada persona en el paso por la adolescencia, pero con más crudeza; aunque pienso que este tipo de películas pueden ser repetitivas, siempre he dicho que se puede contar la misma historia cada vez, pero si se anexa situaciones que atraigan la atención del público y hasta puedan sentirse original seguramente será siempre algo que disfrute de ver.

Being a teenager can be a difficult stage of life, especially if at any moment you can explode... "Spontaneous"
The genre within the world of movies that I like to see the least is of "Romance", despite this I have seen a great of this type of films, mostly because when watching films belonging to the genre "Coming-of-Age" most have a high degree of romance in their story; now the movies that have a story about how a teenager must face the changes of life, a step towards adulthood, most of the times are movies that I like to see and I think that now more because they have evolved in creating good stories with the same problems that every person faces in the passage through adolescence, but with more rawness; although I think that this kind of movies can be repetitive, I have always said that you can tell the same story every time, but if you add situations that attract the audience's attention and can even feel original, it will surely always be something I enjoy watching.
"Spontaneous" es la historia de un grupo de chicos que estudian en el último año de la secundaria Covington High, todos muy enfocados en su vida de adolescente hasta el momento que una de sus compañeros de clases explota de forma espontánea, desde ese mismo instante la vida de todos cambiará, en especial "Mara", que experimentará todo lo que se cree que debe tener un adolescente antes de comenzar la vida de adulto.
"Spontaneous" is the story of a group of kids who are seniors at Covington High, all very focused on their teenage life until the moment that one of their classmates spontaneously explodes, from that very moment everyone's life will change, especially "Mara", who will experience everything you think a teenager should have before starting adult life.
Este film fue estrenado el año pasado y no tuve ninguna noción sobre esta historia hasta hace un mes, como mencioné previamente no soy fan de películas sobre romance y aunque me gusten historias Coming-of-Age, tampoco soy de esas personas que obligatoriamente debo ver este tipo de films, ahora lo que me llamó la atención era lo que más atraía de esta historia, eso era el ver a adolescentes que sin ninguna razón aparente explotaban, inmediatamente pensé que era un film de terror y comedia por las diferentes imágenes que vi, pero estaba completamente equivocado y a la vez tenía algo de acierto de lo cual se trata esta historia, como podrán ver "Spontaneous" es una Coming-of-Age, comedia romántica, horror y drama, sé que podrán pensar que es una historia que abarca mucho pero el guion escrito por Brian Duffield es muy bueno, me gusta que tenga tiempo para desarrollar cada tema que describe está historia, lo hace de forma adecuada y nada apresurada, esto porque hay temas que van de la mano en la historia y cuando llega el momento correcto le da importancia a uno solo el cual creo que es el más importante de este film, sin ninguna duda escribió un buen guion basado de una novela (del mismo nombre) escrita por Aaron Starmer en el 2016.
La dirección también vino por parte de Duffield que en el mundo del entretenimiento siempre ha sido conocido por escribir guiones (The Babysitter y Love and Monsters), sin embargo en esta oportunidad dio un paso adelante en su carrera tomando la cámara, en mi opinión hizo un buen trabajo, algo muy especial con respecto a la historia que quiso contar, por ejemplo tal como sucede en las dos películas que he visto en dónde ha escrito el guion, la narración de sus personajes principales es muy relevante, en esta oportunidad él le da mucha importancia haciendo que sus protagonistas rompan el llamado "cuarto muro" haciendo más personal el relato, lo otro es mostrar la vida simple y divertida que puede tener un adolescente alcanzó la primera meta que da la vida y que significa un paso hacía ser adulto y a la vez hacer que todo eso se detenga cuando el mundo de estos personajes se pinta completamente de rojo; creo que Duffield tiene lo necesario para hacer buenas historias de terror tanto como director y escritor.
This film was released last year and I didn't have any notion about this story until a month ago, as I mentioned previously I'm not a fan of romance movies and although I like Coming-of-Age stories, I'm not one of those people who must necessarily see this kind of films, now what caught my attention was what attracted me the most in this story, that was to see teenagers exploding for no apparent reason, I immediately thought it was a horror and comedy film because of the different images I saw, but I was completely wrong and at the same time it had something right about what this story is about, as you can see "Spontaneous" is a Coming-of-Age, romantic comedy, horror and drama, I know you may think it is a story that covers a lot but the script written by Brian Duffield is very good, I like that he has time to develop each theme that describes this story, he does it in a proper way and not rushed at all, this because there are themes that go hand in hand in the story and when the right time comes he gives importance to only one which I think is the most important of this film, without any doubt he wrote a good script based of a novel (of the same name) written by Aaron Starmer in 2016.
The direction also came from Duffield who in the entertainment world has always been known for writing screenplays (The Babysitter and Love and Monsters), however in this opportunity he took a step forward in his career taking the camera, in my opinion he did a good job, something very special regarding the story he wanted to tell, for example just as it happens in the two films I have seen where he has written the script, the narration of his main characters is very relevant, this time he gives it a lot of importance making his protagonists break the so called "fourth wall" making the story more personal, the other thing is to show the simple and fun life that a teenager can have, he reached the first goal that life gives and that means a step towards being an adult and at the same time he makes all that stop when the world of these characters is painted completely red; I think Duffield_ has what it takes to make good horror stories both as a director and a writer.
Esta historia tiene una excelente protagonista que fue muy bien interpretada por Katherine Langford, "Mara" es alguien feliz, hija única, buena amiga para quien quiere ser su amiga, es divertida, liberal, directa y leal, no es problemática ni odia al mundo, puedo decir que es muy perfecta, pero no busca en ningún momento mostrar eso a todos, lo antes descrito es notado gracias al gran trabajo de Langford, ya su trabajo me había gustado en Knives Out, pero está vez al ser la protagonista principal sin ninguna duda que destaca y mucho, está película tiene un gran complemento el cual es su director/guionista y el trabajo de esta actriz, entre ellos hacen que este sea muy buena película.
This story has an excellent protagonist who was very well played by Katherine Langford, "Mara" is someone happy, only daughter, good friend for whoever wants to be her friend, she is funny, liberal, direct and loyal, she is not problematic nor hates the world, I can say that she is very perfect, but she does not seek at any time to show that to everyone, the above described is noticed thanks to the great work of Langford, I already liked her work in Knives Out, but this time being the main protagonist without any doubt that stands out and much, this film has a great complement which is its director / writer and the work of this actress, between them make this a very good movie.
Me sorprendió mucho está película, es verdad que al verla pensaba que era un film de terror con algo de comedia y me alegra que estaba algo equivocado porque siendo completamente sincero puedo mencionar que disfrute mucho viendo la historia no solo de "Mara" sino de los demás personajes que aparecen en esta historia, me gusta cómo se usó algo tan absurdo o imposible de ver cómo es que alguien explota de forma espontánea y relacionarlo o sumarlo a otro problema más que deben enfrentar los adolescentes antes de dar su paso a la vida adulta, otra cosa que me gusta es el mensaje de vivir el ahora, disfrutar de cualquier momento, de tener experiencias en muchas cosas, de equivocarte en otras, de ser feliz, de tener nuevas metas, de tener grandes amistades, verdaderas, de enamorarte con todas las fuerzas sin temor a nada; Spontaneous es una historia completa, se podrá pensar que trata de abarcar mucho, pero no, es un film muy bien escrito, bien dirigido y bien actuado, espero que tengan la oportunidad de verla y que puedan disfrutar de esta buena película.
I was very surprised by this movie, it's true that when I saw it I thought it was a horror film with some comedy and I'm glad I was a little wrong because being completely honest I can mention that I really enjoyed watching the story not only of "Mara" but of the other characters that appear in this story, I like how it was used something so absurd or impossible to see how is that someone explodes spontaneously and relate it or add it to another problem that teenagers must face before giving their step to adulthood, another thing I like is the message of living the now, enjoy any moment, to have experiences in many things, to be wrong in others, to be happy, to have new goals, to have great friendships, true, to fall in love with all the strength without fear of anything; Spontaneous is a complete story, you may think that it tries to cover a lot, but no, it is a very well written, well directed and well acted film, I hope you have the opportunity to see it and that you can enjoy this good movie.
