En 1999 cuando pude ver **The Matrix** en la última semana de proyección en los cines venezolanos, era una película que no podía creer, todo lo que sucedía en la historia me impresionó mucho a pesar de que la lucha entre las máquinas y el hombre sea algo muy usado en el cine, pero del que nos hayan convertido en una batería para la supervivencia de nuestros opresores era algo que siempre me gustó, a esto anexo las sorprendentes escenas de acción, las peleas, creo que para los fanáticos del anime, el ver esta película era un sueño hecho realidad, sin ninguna duda que este film se convirtió en uno de mis películas favoritas, en realidad la saga completa porque a pesar de que las dos secuelas fueron criticadas, yo las encontré correctas a pesar de los pesados diálogos, pero siempre pienso que nos dio cosas que nunca se había visto en el cine y que puso abrir la puerta para varias cosas, pero lamentablemente la influencia no fue como seguro sus directoras pensaron y en vez de liberar la mente de muchos, lo que se hizo fue copiar algunas cosas llevando a una sobreexplotación de una idea. The Matrix llegaría a un fin en dónde a pesar de aceptar el destino de cada uno de sus personajes, siempre tenía la idea de que en algún momento se haría un episodio más de "The One".

In 1999 when I could see **The Matrix** in the last week of projection in Venezuelan cinemas, it was a movie that I could not believe, everything that happened in the story impressed me a lot even though the struggle between machines and man is something very used in cinema, but that we have become a battery for the survival of our oppressors was something that I always liked, to this annex the amazing action scenes, the fights, I think that for anime fans, watching this movie was a dream come true, without any doubt that this film became one of my favorite movies, actually the whole saga because although the two sequels were criticized, I found them correct despite the heavy dialogues, but I always think that it gave us things that had never been seen in the cinema and that it opened the door for several things, but unfortunately the influence was not as sure its directors thought and instead of freeing the minds of many, what was done was to copy some things leading to an overexploitation of an idea. The Matrix would come to an end where in spite of accepting the fate of each of its characters, it always had the idea that at some point it would become one more episode of "The One".
En "The Matrix Resurrections" veremos cómo en el mundo ya no existe la guerra entre las máquinas y humanos, cada parte se encuentra en paz desarrollando nuevas formas para poder vivir, pero esto no evita que viejas prácticas sigan existiendo, una es donde las máquinas siguen usando a los humanos como baterías para subsistir, la otra es que los humanos, liberados de la Matrix junto a los descendientes el pueblo de Sion buscan ayudar a los que despiertan del sueño virtual; justamente de esa búsqueda, "Bugs" es quien se da cuenta de algo completamente extraño dentro de la Matriz, una simulación que parece repetir en loop todo lo sucedido en el pasado, pero para sorpresa ella encontrará a dos leyendas, una es Morpheus y otro es al mismo elegido, Neo, pero está vez es diferente, él es un programador famoso de juegos de video, un hombre solitario que vive una vida tranquila aunque dependiente de lo que dictamina "The Analyst", es por eso que Bugs tiene un gran trabajo de liberar nuevamente a quien fue el gran salvador de la humanidad para que pueda hacer frente a una nueva gran amenaza.
In "The Matrix Resurrections " we will see how in the world there is no longer war between machines and humans, each side is at peace developing new ways to live, but this does not prevent old practices continue to exist, one is where the machines continue using humans as batteries to survive, the other is that humans, released from the Matrix along with the descendants of the people of Sion seek to help those who awaken from the virtual dream; just from that search, "Bugs" is the one who realizes something completely strange inside the Matrix, a simulation that seems to repeat in loop everything that happened in the past, but to her surprise she will find two legends, one is Morpheus and the other is the chosen one, Neo, but this time it is different, he is a famous video game programmer, a lonely man who lives a quiet life but dependent on what "The Analyst" dictates, that's why Bugs has a hard job to free again the one who was the great savior of humanity so he can face a new great threat.
Recuerdo que cuando se dio la noticia sobre la realización de una cuarta entrega sobre The Matrix, me sorprendió mucho, pero creo que más me sorprendió fue que la oficialización de que Lana Wachowski regresaría en la dirección y co-escribiría el guion, siempre pensé que con el final en "Revolutions" no vería más a las hermanas Wachowski retomar la historia de Neo, pero si tenía la sensación de que en cualquier momento WB retomaría la historia haciendo un remake/secuela/reinicio, algo que cada vez más habituales en el cine, pero creo que sí debería haber una historia más era lógico pensar que se debería contar con una de las mentes maestras detrás de toda esta historia y con sus protagonistas para poder revivir The Matrix. No tengo ninguna duda que para "Resurrections", Lana prefirió el desarrollo de la historia que hacer un gran número de escenas de acción, me enfocaré en esta parte lo cual pienso que es lo que atrajo reseñas negativas a este film; en las anteriores películas no se escatimó nada al realizar sorprendente e inolvidables escenas de acción, en este nuevo film son genéricas, repetitivas y las coreografías de las peleas son normales para no decir malas, como dije antes la importancia de este film para su directora no está en mostrar escenas de acción que después serán copiadas por muchos como sucedió en las primeras películas, todo está en la historia que se quería contar.
El guion fue escrito entre Lana, David Mitchell y Aleksandar Hemon, no tengo duda que Wachowski tuvo mucho peso en la escritura, tuvo gran libertad para escribir la historia que quería contar, una que hiciera homenaje a todo lo hecho y creo que una crítica a como se desenvuelve el mundo del cine en la actualidad, lo primero era en enfocar la fuerte historia de amor entre dos de los protagonistas, creo que al ver la trilogía varias veces, fue que pude notar que The Matrix era algo más que un film de ciencia-ficción y acción, era una historia de un amor muy fuerte entre Neo y Trinity que los motivó al realizar sorprendentes sacrificios para poner fin a una guerra, es por eso que era inevitable no traer de vuelta a ambos personajes, en mi opinión los más importantes; con respecto al mensaje creo que es muy claro, entre el primer film y este último han pasado 22 años y el mensaje sigue siendo el mismo "Libera tu Mente", en la película hay un momento preciso en dónde se hace referencia a qué el público busca una vía de escape de su vida cotidiana y que la ficción es lo más cercano para hacer eso, las personas se enfocan en historias que son repetitivas en dónde el uso de la nostalgia sirve para recordar tiempos mejores y es por eso que las empresas, productores de films, juegos de video, música, siempre hará una y otra vez lo mismo para que las masas consuman sin preguntarse qué estás bien o está mal, personalmente soy parte de esa masa de alto consumo por el mismo material de historias, es por eso que cuando veo algo diferente lo disfruto y resaltó más que a lo repetitivo, algo normal, pero eso no quiere decir que deje de consumir el material que más vende, con respecto a eso creo que Lana hace un gran trabajo
I remember when the news about the realization of a fourth installment about The Matrix came out, I was very surprised, but I think what surprised me more was that the officialization that Lana Wachowski would return in the direction and co-write the script, I always thought that with the end in "Revolutions" I would not see more the Wachowski sisters to retake the story of Neo, but I had the feeling that at any moment WB would retake the story making a remake/sequel/reboot, something that is becoming more and more common in cinema, but I think that if there should be one more story it was logical to think that they should count with one of the masterminds behind all this story and with its protagonists to revive The Matrix. I have no doubt that for "Resurrections", Lana preferred the development of the story rather than doing a large number of action scenes, I will focus on this part which I think is what attracted negative reviews to this film; in the previous films nothing was spared in making amazing and unforgettable action scenes, in this new film they are generic, repetitive and the choreographies of the fights are normal not to say bad, as I said before the importance of this film for its director is not in showing action scenes that later will be copied by many as it happened in the first films, everything is in the story that was wanted to tell.
The script was written between _**Lana, David Mitchell**_ and _**Aleksandar Hemon**_, I have no doubt that _**Wachowski**_ had a lot of weight in the writing, he had great freedom to write the story he wanted to tell, one that made homage to everything that has been done and I think a criticism of how the world of cinema is developing today, the first thing was to focus on the strong love story between two of the protagonists, I think that by watching the trilogy several times, I was able to notice that The Matrix was something more than a science fiction and action film, it was a story of a very strong love between Neo and Trinity that motivated them to make amazing sacrifices to end a war, that's why it was inevitable not to bring back both characters, in my opinion the most important; regarding the message I think it is very clear, between the first film and this last one 22 years have passed and the message is still the same "Free your Mind", in the film there is a precise moment where it is referred to what the public is looking for an escape from their daily lives and that fiction is the closest thing to do that, people focus on stories that are repetitive where the use of nostalgia serves to remember better times and that is why companies, producers of films, video games, music, will always do over and over again the same thing for the masses to consume without wondering what is right or wrong, personally I am part of that mass of high consumption for the same material of stories, that's why when I see something different I enjoy it and it stands out more than the repetitive, something normal, but that does not mean I stop consuming the material that sells more, regarding that I think _**Lana**_ does a great job.
Las actuaciones son buenas, me gustó ver esta versión de Neo, Keanu Reeves hace un papel excelente, no esconde que su versión es diferente a la vista en el último film, cuando es el momento preciso es centrado, maduro, dispuesto a todo, un hombre de fe, esa versión de "The One" es lo mejor, pero su versión de Thomas Anderson, también es buena, es diferente a la que vimos en 1999, a pesar de ser un hombre solitario, es alguien que vive con miedo, alguien que ha sufrido un trauma y no sabe cuál es y es por eso que se le hace difícil de superar y a la vez es fácil de ser manejado por el Analista; Carrie-Anne Moss es excelente como Trinity, es fuerte, siempre ha sido un personaje fuerte, decidida, valiente, nunca la vi como una Sidekick sino como una protagonista y está vez lo muestra como tal, no digo que se le haga justicia a su personaje porque en las anteriores es muy importante, solo que en esta oportunidad es más relevante porque ella es el motivo de todo; quiero hacer referencia a Jessica Henwick como "Bugs" me gustó mucho su personaje, creo que ella hace una buena representación a esas personas que liberan su mente y busca lo mejor para sí mismos y no descansa hasta que otros puedan sentir lo mismo, creo que Lana se pudo sentir reflejada en Bugs porque ella pudo influenciar y liberarse mientras realizaba estos films y logro hacer un cambio para sentirse libre con quién es en la actualidad.
The performances are good, I liked to see this version of Neo, Keanu Reeves plays an excellent role, he doesn't hide that his version is different from the one seen in the last film, when it's the right moment he is focused, mature, ready for everything, a man of faith, that version of "The One" is the best, but his version of Thomas Anderson is also good, it is different from the one we saw in 1999, despite being a lonely man, he is someone who lives in fear, someone who has suffered a trauma and does not know what it is and that is why it is difficult to overcome and at the same time it is easy to be handled by the Analyst; Carrie-Anne Moss is excellent as Trinity, she is strong, she has always been a strong character, determined, brave, I never saw her as a Sidekick but as a protagonist and this time she shows it as such, I'm not saying that her character is done justice because in the previous ones she is very important, just that this time she is more relevant because she is the reason for everything; I want to make reference to Jessica Henwick as "Bugs" I really liked her character, I think she makes a good representation to those people who free their mind and look for the best for themselves and don't rest until others can feel the same, I think Lana could feel reflected in Bugs because she could influence and free herself while making these films and managed to make a change to feel free with who she is nowadays.
He leído un gran número de críticas sobre el film y estoy muy de acuerdo con casi todas, preferiblemente sobre las escenas de acción y hasta el realizar este film era algo que no necesitaba la franquicia, está segunda opinión puede crear un debate porque yo tuve paz después de ver el final de Revolutions, no necesitaba ver algo más de Neo, pero al ver esta película sobre los temas que trata, su crítica a la sociedad, el tema de dar una verdadera clausura a la historia de Neo y Trinity, me parece bien que se haya hecho, lo otro es que muchos dicen que con este film se volvió a la base de esta franquicia y sí, en parte su historia es muy parecida y es que si The Matrix no tuviera las muchas escenas de acción seguramente fuera un drama de ciencia-ficción en dónde un hombre busca una salida de un mundo ficticio para poder realmente sentirse vivo, yo en momentos al ver Resurrections tuve esa sensación de que estaba viendo una versión de Matrix en dónde la historia de Thomas Anderson estaba más desarrollada y nos contaba el porqué de su necesidad de buscar una verdad; con todo lo antes descrito y sabiendo que este no es un film perfecto, disfrute mucho esta nueva parte de The Matrix, me gustó lo nuevo que se presenta, los personajes, los mundos, los aliados y enemigos y a pesar de todo eso no espero una secuela aunque como dice el propio Jonathan Groff parafraseando en uno de sus diálogos en el film, si WB quiere una película más seguramente la hará.
I have read a great number of reviews about the film and I agree with almost all of them, preferably about the action scenes and even that making this film was something that the franchise didn't need, this second opinion can create a debate because I had peace after seeing the end of Revolutions, I didn't need to see something more of Neo, but seeing this film about the themes it deals with, its criticism to society, the theme of giving a real closure to the story of Neo and Trinity, I think it's good that it has been done, The other thing is that many say that with this film they went back to the base of this franchise and yes, in part its story is very similar and if The Matrix did not have the many action scenes it would surely be a sci-fi drama where a man seeks a way out of a fictional world to really feel alive, at times when watching Resurrections I had the feeling that I was watching a version of the Matrix where the story of Thomas Anderson was more developed and told us the reason for his need to seek the truth; with everything described above and knowing that this is not a perfect film, I really enjoyed this new part of The Matrix, I liked the new things presented, the characters, the worlds, the allies and enemies and despite all that I do not expect a sequel although as Jonathan Groff himself says Jonathan Groff paraphrasing in one of his dialogues in the film, if WB wants one more movie they will surely do it.
