El subgénero fílmico, "Blaxploitation", ha funcionado como crítica desde los 70' en adelante; este tipo de films (como muchos otros) usa a otros géneros como complemento para el relato de una historias en dónde héroes atípicos deberán hacer frente a predecibles villanos; este tipo de historias explora temas como la frustración, vicio, violencia, rechazo, la falta de oportunidades, racismo, clasismo, todos recurrentes que dependiendo del relato pueden o no crear impacto al público al que va dirigido. Principalmente, no soy fan del género, pero si he visto varias películas que han tomado como influencia este tipo de historias que siguen explorando los temas anteriormente descritos porque lamentablemente se han mantenido en el tiempo y creo que parte de la responsabilidad de anteriores y ahora nuevos directores, guionistas, productores y actores, es seguir creando historias que podrán ser muy entretenidas, pero que preferiblemente compartan un mensaje de crear conciencia al público que puede sentirse o no identificado con este tipo de películas.

Este film significa el debut de Juel Taylor como director de un largometraje; en mi opinión su trabajo es excelente porque sabe usar muy bien las pequeñas y repetitivas escenografías en cada una de las escenas, pero lo que me hace pensar que hizo un buen trabajo, es la manera de como dar protagonismo a sus tres personajes principales; él supo cómo enfocar la importancia de cada uno dependiendo su agilidad o que lo define en la historia; eso es muy importante porque no vemos un solo punto de vista, hay tres, de los cuales todos son relevantes, pero eso no es lo único, ya que a pesar de los diferentes puntos de vista, no existe una sobrecarga de la historia; lo otro es la genialidad de los cambios realizados entre los dos mundos en dónde se desarrolla la historia, el uso de colores y de iluminación es muy bueno aunque tampoco diré que era algo necesario porque la identificación de cada mundo está muy bien referenciado y lo que también me pareció genial es sabe en qué momento da poder a la comedia sin importar el desarrollo del tema principal de la historia.
El guion co - escrito por el mismo Taylor y Tony Rettenmaier, me pareció muy inteligente y divertido, ambos saben que es la comedia la base de la historia y lo que impulsa las ocurrencias de sus tres protagonistas, ocurrencias motivadas por un misterio del cual son parte y justamente su revelación les hará explorar temas profundos, temas que los convierte en víctimas de un loop que crea frustración, resentimiento, tristeza y justamente estos sentimientos son difíciles de explorar por estar ocultos por banalidades, crean episodios violentos y autodestructivos; esa exposición de los temas antes descritos, junto a la comedia y misterio me llamó mucho la atención y pienso que está muy bien hecho por ambos guionistas que saben realizar una profunda crítica de temas que lamentablemente han perdurado en el tiempo.

The script co - written by the same Taylor and Tony Rettenmaier, I found it very smart and funny, both know that comedy is the basis of the story and what drives the occurrences of its three protagonists, occurrences motivated by a mystery of which they are part and precisely its revelation will make them explore deep issues, themes that turn them into victims of a loop that creates frustration, resentment, sadness and precisely these feelings are difficult to explore because they are hidden by banalities, creating violent and self-destructive episodes; This exposition of the themes described above, along with the comedy and mystery caught my attention and I think it is very well done by both screenwriters who know how to make a deep criticism of issues that unfortunately have endured over time.

Me agrada cuando veo un film del cual no esperaba nada y me termina gustando; no tengo ninguna duda de que "They Cloned Tyrone" es una de las gratas sorpresas del año, aunque lamento que Netflix tuvo el mal timing de estrenarla el mismo fin de semana cuando fue el estreno de "Barbie" y "Oppenheimer"; posiblemente eso sea lo que ha hecho que haya pasado desapercibida en las preferencias del público al momento de decidir que película ver en el pasado fin de semana y espero que muy pronto el público capte tan genial film el cual es sumamente divertido, con una excelente historia, con buenos personajes y por supuesto, muy buenas actuaciones. Existe algo muy grato de este film y que me pareció algo extremadamente bueno y es que tiene un buen final, esto es algo que le doy mucha relevancia porque mi experiencia con films originales de Netflix, se ha visto incompleta cuando veo lo pobre del cierre de la historia y debo decir que personalmente, en esta oportunidad no sucedió eso, es todo lo contrario y demuestra el buen desarrollado esta película la cual recomiendo en un 100%.

There is something very pleasant about this film and that seemed to me something extremely good and is that it has a good ending, this is something that I give much relevance because my experience with Netflix original films, has been incomplete when I see how poor the closure of the story and I must say that personally, this time that did not happen, it is quite the opposite and shows the good development of this film which I recommend 100%.
