Plot
The anime introduces us to Akane Kinoshita, a college student who has just suffered a breakup. Scorned and without a partner, she continues to play the MMORPG game called Forest of Savior (FoS) that she used to play with her current ex-boyfriend. One day, she decides to go to a face-to-face event of the game to clear her head and meet new people. There, she meets her ex along with her current partner, who also likes the game, which makes her have a very uncomfortable time. Walking away from them, Akane runs into Akito Yamada, who is a very popular gamer, despite his age.
Yamada also plays FoS as a hobby and is part of the same adventurer's guild that Akane is also in. When they meet in person, she falls madly in love with him, but doesn't say anything to him. At night she tries to overcome her depression with alcohol while being accompanied by the handsome, cold and tall high school student she has just met. This mixture of real life events with the influence of the virtual world, in addition to the relationships and friendships that are formed from there, causes that we can easily combine very well, since the cases seen in this anime are not far from what happens in everyday life, only that this is treated with a very comical and pleasant style to see.

Si bien no tiene nada de fanservice ni ninguna señal de chistes de doble sentido, lo cual lo hace un anime que cualquiera puede ver tranquilamente, sí tiene una mezcla perfecta de comedia con romance, con un estilo simple y bastante llamativo. Fuera de todo esto, lo que más me fascina de este anime es tanto el desarrollo de los personajes como de la misma historia que nos cuentan. Y es que algo que consigue también esta serie es mezclar una trama sencilla con temas o situaciones que podemos ver en la vida diaria.
Empezando por la trama, la cual es un poco distinta a la típica trama de comedias románticas que acostumbramos a ver en este tipo de animes, es que en este particular parte de una ruptura, lo cual muestra una visión que muchos nos podemos identificar fácilmente con el personaje principal. Pero, no solo eso, sino que también todo esto empieza y termina en un videojuego multijugador. Esta mezcla de sucesos de la vida real con la influencia del mundo virtual, además de las relaciones y amistades que se forman de ahí, causa que fácilmente podamos compaginar muy bien, ya que los casos que se ven en este anime no están muy lejos de lo que sucede en la vida diaria, solo que esta se tratan con un estilo muy cómico y agradable de ver.

The story and the characters we meet in this anime have a way and a sense of being that we can easily feel familiar with. Starting with the protagonist (Akane) who is a friendly, funny and very affectionate girl who meets a tall and popular teenager (Yamada) who does not show his feelings much, thus forming a very disparate couple that the only thing that unites them is a video game. The other characters of the guild in which we know everyone are also an important part of this story, both the best friend who seeks to support Yamada and Akane's best friend who is always there to listen to her. While these characters don't stand out enough, their influence is noticeable throughout the anime. The same goes for the video game, which is the source of everything that happens or is generated around our characters.
And as it always happens in these anime, its animation is very well done, with a nice fluidity and a simple and impeccable style, while being somewhat flashy. The Madhouse studio has always managed to convey each panel and each scene very well with an incredible quality and way of drawing and this case is no exception since, from start to finish, we can perfectly feel what each chapter conveys, which leaves you at the end wanting to see more. Finally, the soundtrack that this anime has is one of the things I love the most, especially for the Opening, which is a madness that can easily stick in your head. So, what makes this anime one of my favorite romcoms is both its story, but also its characters, the relationships and friendships they have, its nice animation, its visual effects and its soundtrack. Without a doubt, this is an anime that I recommend anyone to watch.
Personally, I give it a 9.5/10 rating for the romantic comedy genre.

La historia y los personajes que conocemos en este anime tienen una forma y un sentido de ser que fácilmente podemos sentirnos familiarizados. Empezando por la protagonista (Akane) que es una chica amigable, divertida y muy cariñosa que conoce a un adolescente (Yamada) alto y popular que no demuestra mucho sus sentimientos, formando así una pareja muy dispareja que lo único que los une es un videojuego. El estudio Madhouse siempre ha conseguido transmitir muy bien cada panel y cada escena con una calidad y una forma de dibujar increíble y este caso no es la excepción ya que, de inicio a fin, podemos sentir perfectamente lo que transmite cada capítulo, lo cual te deja al final con ganas de ver más. Por último, la banda sonora que tiene este anime es una de las cosas que más me encanta, sobre todo por el Opening, el cual es una locura que se te puede pegar muy fácilmente a la cabeza. Entonces, lo que hace de este anime uno de mis romcoms favoritos es tanto su historia, como también sus personajes, las relaciones y amistades que tienen, su agradable animación, sus efectos visuales y su banda sonora. Sin duda alguna, este es un anime que les recomiendo ver a cualquiera.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de comedia romántica.
