‎This is an amazing fighting anime that has a beautiful mix of action, friendship, and emotion. The twists and turns of the story, the backstory of the characters, and the bond of friendship that is formed between them all touch the hearts of the audience. ‎ ‎

Story Summary

‎The main character of the story was Haruka Sakura. She has always been lonely. She relies on her own strength. She does not like to mix with others. But her life changes when she comes to Burio High School. Here she finds new friends, new rivals, and enemies. Everyone is afraid when they hear the name Burio High School. This is not an ordinary school. Students who like to fight study here. But don't get me wrong, they actually fight to protect their territory. They stand up against injustice, and protect the weak. ‎Sakura joins the 'Boufurin' group at Burio High School. ‎Here she meets Kiyosuki Umeno, the quiet leader of the group. Akihiko Sono is a funny and always smiling companion. And many more powerful friends. However, many new enemies arrive here. The Shishitoren Gang who want to take control of the city. KEEL and other gangs challenge the dominance of the Boufurin. Behind each conflict is not just a fight, but also personal history, a test of friendship and a challenge to leadership.

My Review

In fact, it would be wrong to call WIND BREAKER just a fighting anime. It is a completely different feeling. As well as having great fighting scenes, there are also friendship, respect, leadership, and the fight for one's life. The story begins with Haruka Sakura. She is a bit of a homebody, not wanting to trust anyone easily. She relies on herself for everything. But when she enrolls in Burio High School, the people around her change her life. ‎ Burio High School is a completely different school. Everyone is afraid of this school, because the students here use their strength to protect the city, fight against injustice, and stand by the side of the weak. Here Sakura meets Umeno, Sono, and many others. They don't just fight, but stand by each other like true friends. The story of friendship, trust, and togetherness that develops between them is truly heartwarming. ‎

Then come the various gangs Shishitoren, KEEL and many more. The opponents are not just testing their strength, their fight is about honor, ideals and their own beliefs. ‎ ‎The story becomes more serious in Season 2. Here comes Tsubaki. His character is simply great, he has extra power, past pain, and a strong desire to take his team forward. His mental battle with Sakura and one fight scene after another take the whole story to a whole new level.‎‎And what I have to say separately is that the action scenes are simply amazing. The way CloverWorks has animated the punches, kicks, slow motion, camera angles, it all feels like watching live action in front of your eyes. ‎ ‎The music is also top-notch. The opening and ending songs are so beautiful that you want to listen to them over and over again. The sound effects during the fight are also placed in such a way that it feels like we are in the fight ourselves. Yes, sometimes the story may seem a little slow, some emotional scenes could have been deeper. But once you start, you can't take your eyes off it. Actually, WIND BREAKER is not just an anime, it is a story of friendship, struggle and self-respect. A story of overcoming your inner fear and moving forward. ‎ ‎I think this will be a perfect series for those who like fighting or action anime. I hope you will definitely enjoy watching it.
