  1. [Eng][Esp] Anime Review: Wind Breaker 💥💚@eldiariodelys233d
    $1

I came across Wind Breaker thanks to a recommendation from a friend, but I'll be honest: the first time I tried it, I couldn't get into it. It wasn't the anime's fault; I was just at a point in my life where not even Sakura throwing punches could make me smile. I gave up and thought: “maybe another time.” That “another time” came when they announced the second season and everyone was talking about the anime. So I said: okay, it's now or never. This time I was more relaxed, more focused, and I watched it with my sister (which automatically improves any experience). And that's when it happened: I was hopelessly hooked on Sakura and all the adorable chaos of Furin.

I already had a feeling it would be an anime about fights and gangs (you see the aesthetics and you know where it's going), but after loving Tokyo Revengers, I learned that these stories always hide a soft heart behind all that testosterone. And that was just what I needed: something to entertain me, clear my head, and give me that mental break that I appreciate with all my heart.

This anime takes you to an area of Tokyo that used to be a total disaster: fights everywhere, daily chaos, and a Furin high school so troubled that even the police were afraid to patrol it. Hakura Sakura arrives precisely for that reason: he wants to fight, he wants chaos, he wants to rise to the top with his fists. But... Plot twist: nothing is the same as it used to be.

Two years ago, Hajime Umemiya (🥰) and his group of friends decided that the Furin would no longer be a plague on the city and would become its personal guard. Now they are still fighters, yes, with their punches, blood, and testosterone... but only against those who threaten the peace of the people. That's what makes them so adorable: they are criminals, but with a moral code stronger than your home Wi-Fi signal. So beloved by the citizens that they named them: Wind Breaker.

It's an anime that combines violence with moments of brotherhood, unintentional humor, and that warm vibe of “we're a mess, but we're a mess together.” And although Sakura arrived seeking a reign of chaos... he'll end up finding something much better than a throne: a chosen family.

Wind Breaker knows how to combine two worlds that, in theory, shouldn't fit together: wild fights that get your adrenaline pumping and introspective messages that make you say: “Ok, these guys really think, really feel, really grow.” It's not an anime where everything is just about hitting each other for the sake of it; at least here they make the reasons clear, there's a cause that matters and a huge heart behind every punch. Yes, it romanticizes violence—like most of this genre—but it stands firm in its message that the purpose is to protect, not destroy.

In addition, it has those calmer chapters, which add a delightful spark to the story. They allow you to breathe between fights, laugh, grow fond of everyone, and remember that they are young people experiencing normal things... when they're not breaking walls with their fists, of course.

Emotionally, it transmits a lot of adrenaline—because the hype surrounding the fights is incredibly well done—but the best part is seeing how the characters evolve. That part is more moving than any combo of punches. And don't even get me started on the pace: the episodes feel very short, but not because they lack content, but because everything moves forward. No filler, no unnecessary twists and turns, just story and more story flowing.

And if we're talking about the characters, then I have to start with the protagonist, Haruka Sakura, who makes me feel absurdly tender. He comes across as a tough, cold guy, the typical “nobody understands me, leave me alone” type, but from the beginning you know that inside he's pure heart. Yes, he's strong, yes, he's intimidating, but emotionally he's an adorable mess. He doesn't know how to communicate anything, he feels too much and has no idea how to handle it, so he's always on the verge of exploding. And that's his development: seeing him open up, connect, share, and trust those around him.

Among my favorites is Hajime Umemiya, of course. The leader, who steals your heart within the first five minutes. He is the strongest, the most respected, the most imposing... but he is also a chaotic sweetheart who lights up any scene, especially with his interest in his little plants. He has that Gojo-style charm, but if Gojo had decided to lead an army of good-hearted delinquents. And then there's Hayato Suō, who made me laugh from his first line of dialogue. He's calm, kind, patient, the emotional anchor of the group, the one who keeps everyone sane, and at the same time, the one who surprises you when he fights. He has that whole “I'm calm, but don't underestimate me” vibe.

And obviously, I can't leave out Akihiko Nirei, because my sister would kill me, but also because he deserves it. He is the emotional heart of the anime, the Takemichi of the group: he doesn't know how to fight, he feels helpless when he can't help, and he suffers because of it. And who hasn't been through moments like that, feeling like they don't have the tools to face something? His friendship with Sakura is beautiful because they are complete opposites, but they complement each other in a way that makes the scenes between them, along with Suo, give you a tightness in your chest.

I loved the animation in Wind Breaker: the colors, the character designs, everything flows really well and makes the fights feel even more epic. I was hooked by the end of the second season and had to start reading the manga—I couldn't wait!✨ It's not an anime for everyone, but if you liked Tokyo Revengers, give it a try: they're not the same, but they have that vibe of gangs, friendship, and growth that makes it totally worth it🩷

  2. Review Wind Breaker 👊Example of How Tokyo Revenger Could Be better@alienpunklord358d

Welcome to another post here in the community.

I took a quick look at Wind Breaker thinking it would be just another anime about high school delinquents fighting all the time. And it kind of is, but it's done in a way that hooked me right from the first few episodes.

I like action anime, stories about overcoming adversity, with characters that have attitude and heart at the same time and Wind Breaker delivers all of that with no unnecessary fluff. If you’re into that vibe, I think you’ll like it too.

For those who don’t know yet, Wind Breaker is an anime based on the manga written and illustrated by Satoru Nii.

The anime adaptation was released in 2024 by CloverWorks, the studio behind other major titles like The Promised Neverland (season one), Horimiya and Wonder Egg Priority. The series is directed by Toshifumi Akai, who brings a fast-paced, clean direction that really fits the story.

    image.png

The plot follows a guy named Haruka Sakura. He’s the quiet, antisocial type, but with insane strength and a sense of justice hidden behind that serious face. He enrolls at Furin High School, which is known for being full of delinquents but these delinquents aren’t really villains. They protect the town. Yep, kind of like a gang of urban heroes, which flips the typical “school fights” trope on its head.

Haruka goes in aiming to become the strongest, but slowly he learns about the value of friendship, teamwork, and even compassion. It’s really cool to watch him break out of his shell and start connecting with other characters like Kyotaro Sugishita and Akihiko Nirei, who are the first to reach out to him.

    image.png

Besides the well-choreographed and nicely animated fights, what really caught my attention was how the characters are introduced.

Each one has a reason to be there, and no one is bad just for the sake of being bad. Even the rivals are well written.

You can tell there’s logic behind their actions. And the best part is that Wind Breaker has heart. It’s not just fights. There are moments of reflection, emotional scenes, and even a slice of life vibe in between the tension. It feels like a mix of Tokyo Revengers with the fighting spirit of My Hero Academia just without the superpowers.

Another strong point is the visuals. The line art is clean and colorful, and the animation flows really well during action scenes.

The soundtrack fits perfectly too, especially the opening theme, which is super hyped. The song is "Zettai Reido" by UNLIMITED SICKS, and it sets the tone of the anime from episode one.

    image.png

Haruka really reminds me of Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach at the start of the series a guy who doesn’t want to be a hero, but ends up doing the right thing instinctively. He also gives off some Yusuke Urameshi vibes from Yu Yu Hakusho rebellious, but with a strong sense of justice.

    image.pngimage.png

In my opinion, Wind Breaker is definitely an anime worth checking out especially if you’re tired of stories with superpowers, isekais, or overly nice protagonists. This one is more grounded, more human. Fights have consequences, characters feel pain, they cry, they mess up. And that makes the anime feel a lot closer to reality.

Even if you're not a fan of the “school delinquent” theme, you might still be surprised. That’s what happened to me. I started watching just out of curiosity and now I’m hyped for every new episode.

The manga also has a lot of content already, so if you end up liking the anime, you can dive straight into the source material. You can watch Wind Breaker officially on Crunchyroll, which offers both a solid Portuguese dub and great subtitles.

  3. Wind Breaker Season 2 Review: What did we get in the new season?@naturaluttom392d

‎Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well and having a great time. Today I have brought you a great anime recommendation, which I have seen myself and to be honest, I really enjoyed it. The anime is called WIND BREAKER.

    Created with Canva Pro.

‎This is an amazing fighting anime that has a beautiful mix of action, friendship, and emotion. The twists and turns of the story, the backstory of the characters, and the bond of friendship that is formed between them all touch the hearts of the audience. ‎ ‎

    Story Summary

‎The main character of the story was Haruka Sakura. She has always been lonely. She relies on her own strength. She does not like to mix with others. But her life changes when she comes to Burio High School. Here she finds new friends, new rivals, and enemies. Everyone is afraid when they hear the name Burio High School. This is not an ordinary school. Students who like to fight study here. But don't get me wrong, they actually fight to protect their territory. They stand up against injustice, and protect the weak. ‎Sakura joins the 'Boufurin' group at Burio High School. ‎Here she meets Kiyosuki Umeno, the quiet leader of the group. Akihiko Sono is a funny and always smiling companion. And many more powerful friends. However, many new enemies arrive here. The Shishitoren Gang who want to take control of the city. KEEL and other gangs challenge the dominance of the Boufurin. Behind each conflict is not just a fight, but also personal history, a test of friendship and a challenge to leadership.

‎WIND BREAKER is not just a story of fights. ‎It is a story of courage, friendship, and overcoming one's inner fear. Where true strength does not mean just punching but the courage to take responsibility. It starts with a fight, ends with friendship. ‎The fight is not just for yourself, but for the love of everyone. ‎

    My Review

In fact, it would be wrong to call WIND BREAKER just a fighting anime. It is a completely different feeling. As well as having great fighting scenes, there are also friendship, respect, leadership, and the fight for one's life. The story begins with Haruka Sakura. She is a bit of a homebody, not wanting to trust anyone easily. She relies on herself for everything. But when she enrolls in Burio High School, the people around her change her life. ‎ Burio High School is a completely different school. Everyone is afraid of this school, because the students here use their strength to protect the city, fight against injustice, and stand by the side of the weak. Here Sakura meets Umeno, Sono, and many others. They don't just fight, but stand by each other like true friends. The story of friendship, trust, and togetherness that develops between them is truly heartwarming. ‎

Then come the various gangs Shishitoren, KEEL and many more. The opponents are not just testing their strength, their fight is about honor, ideals and their own beliefs. ‎ ‎The story becomes more serious in Season 2. Here comes Tsubaki. His character is simply great, he has extra power, past pain, and a strong desire to take his team forward. His mental battle with Sakura and one fight scene after another take the whole story to a whole new level.‎‎And what I have to say separately is that the action scenes are simply amazing. The way CloverWorks has animated the punches, kicks, slow motion, camera angles, it all feels like watching live action in front of your eyes. ‎ ‎The music is also top-notch. The opening and ending songs are so beautiful that you want to listen to them over and over again. The sound effects during the fight are also placed in such a way that it feels like we are in the fight ourselves. Yes, sometimes the story may seem a little slow, some emotional scenes could have been deeper. But once you start, you can't take your eyes off it. Actually, WIND BREAKER is not just an anime, it is a story of friendship, struggle and self-respect. A story of overcoming your inner fear and moving forward. ‎ ‎I think this will be a perfect series for those who like fighting or action anime. I hope you will definitely enjoy watching it.

Hello dear friends of @theAnimeRealm, a pleasure and greetings to all, for today remembering one of the anime that caught my attention last year and I can not deny that I was excited, although when it comes to fights I think only so I've seen dragon ball, but I could not avoid that this one called my attention, not so much for the fights but for the meaning that had these blows by the students, it is Wind Breaker, is a great adaptation not only in animation but the theme that handles and what it transmits, has 1 season of 13 chapters.

It is not more than the story of Sakura, a boy something peculiar not only for the physicist since he has eyes of different colors as well as his hair so in a society so difficult to be so peculiar can bring problems, however, not everyone is like that, so when arriving at his new school Furin, and being in his new alone, it will be demonstrated that not all people are equal and that they can appreciate you not for how you look but for what you are and transmit with your actions, is to leave aside the superficial and understand that it is accepted for who you really are.

    WIND2.webp Source

Sakura when arriving to the city is involved in a fight, so she knows of one to the Furin that are in charge to protect the town and to avoid that other groups or thieves that want to make problems or damages to the same ones get away with theirs, they patrol and help at any moment to what is needed, at the beginning she believed that they were some brawlers and nothing more but really those blows that they give is not nothing more to give it, it is to take care and to defend their own, as much to those of the same school as to the citizens, there Sakura knows her new friend Nirei who in spite of not knowing how to fight, the idea of being with those who know and fight for the justice is of her liking, as well as to learn more of them.

    wind3.webp Source

Among others is Suo, who will support and guide him in his new stage in Furin, really each one will form a bond of friendship and companionship with Sakura, especially because the ability of each one is unique from normal fighting techniques with fists to martial arts. Above all, when you meet Umemiya the leader of them all, you will understand that the blows are nothing more than a way to communicate, it is an expression of what you feel and want to change, a blow can improve or worsen the situation depending on what you want to convey, it can change the course of the story, but only if it is done with good sense, understanding that to do evil using brute force is not the result you want.

Greetings anime lovers who give life to the @theanimerealm Community and all those cute Hivers who follow me and usually read my posts. Thank you all for sharing this moment with me. You know that I finally gave a chance to Wind Breaker and well, today I come to provide you with an honest opinion about it.

    1357653.png

To begin with I will say that I expected more from this anime, because of the many recommendations and reviews I read about it in this community recommending it for being as good as Kaiju N° 8 or Kimetsu No Yaiba could be.

Well yes, my expectations were quite high before watching it. The first chapter didn't grab me but I decided to give it a chance because it was highly recommended. I thought: something good must be in it, I don't think so many users would recommend it if the anime wasn't so good.

    1383104.jpg

And it certainly happened what I was waiting for. It was in chapter 8 called Inheriting Feelings and the one after that that the series clicked with me. So I'll be honest again and tell you that it was in those 2 chapters that the series deeply touched my Kokoro (❤️).

My favorite character was, is and will be Chōji Tomiyama and my second favorite Jō Togame. Yes, I know, they are the “villains” but I can't help but identify with them in such a profound way as in these chapters it perfectly and artistically describe what it's like to suffer from Severe Depression.

    1360572.png

That empty, gloomy, and lifeless look, I have had it, I have experienced it, I have been there in that desert where this character found himself, walking alone, aimlessly, without knowing how to ask for help, and the one who could have reached out to him to make him react, preferred to turn a blind eye.

This made me think that most people do this. When they notice that something is not right, they prefer to pretend that it didn't happen, that if they ignore it it will go away but unfortunately being so depressed like this is like spinning a snowball that just grows and grows until at some point it bursts, causing a lot of damage all around.

    1367814.jpeg

To dissemble with a smile, to pretend everything is fine when you know you are so broken inside. Truly, I was so deeply and personally touched by these two episodes that I cried when I watched them. I had a lot of mixed feelings and I was so happy to know that Chōji managed to pull himself together, and decided to get up and continue fighting.

And although I found the plot in general a bit generic, for touching on this topic for me, it made me place this series in a better position than I had it. It's not among my favorites but it's worth watching. As for the main character, I don't know, I still don't like the way he is.

    1364734.png

As I said, I've seen better protagonists who possess a strong desire for struggle, justice, and personal growth. This I didn't get to see in Sakura. On the other hand, Akihiko Nirei was like watching the exact copy of Zenitsu, only without the immense fear that invades him every 5 seconds. From the rest, this series does have memorable characters and therefore I'm determined to watch its second season when it comes out. I for one will give it:

  6. Wind Breaker: RUGBY SP@tegoshei573d

Sports is among if not my most favorite genre when it comes to anime and/or manga, so this week's [Wild Plot Wednesday](https://peakd.com/hive-158489/@adamada/wild-plot-wednesdays-21-turn-it-into-sports) is something I really look forward to joining.
Here's my short plot for the anime which I titled ***Wind Breaker: Rugby SP***.
    > ***NOTE: Photos are all screenshots from the manga and edited using Photoscape.***
    ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmNNm7CaUqUJx7vZfbyL5WDVgb9TYxSUkjcVVwNYWEW8fY/wb_rugby_sp.jpg)
***At a school dedicated to building strength and safeguarding the community of Makochi, there's one activity that everyone looks forward to with excitement: the Furin High School Rugby Tournament. This thrilling sport empowers players to showcase their strength, agility, and strategic prowess as they compete fiercely against their opponents. It’s an event that truly embodies the spirit of their school!***
***Each class selects 15 students to compete against other classes within their grade during the preliminaries. The winners from each grade will then engage in an exciting three-way match with the champions from other grade levels.***
***For those living around Furin High School, the rugby scene is well-established and widely recognized. Students aiming to enroll in the school often participate in rugby or learn its essential rules and techniques during their middle school years. Nirei, despite his smaller and lighter build, has confidently engaged in tackling opponents and honing his skills on the field.***
    ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmQxabTXn91j1hBvdr3SkK2crcGuxdf1qUDkjFUUHGkfGL/tackle.jpg)
***However, this doesn't apply to Sakura. As a newcomer at Furin High and in the town, he has set his sights on becoming the best. Nonetheless, he has momentarily overlooked the significance of playing rugby. To truly excel at Furin, it takes more than just being strong in combat; it requires the ability to lead your team to victory in rugby, and Sakura is ready to embrace that challenge.***
***Umemiya Hajime, the current top of Furin High and the leading fly-half in high school rugby, is making waves on the field. Following the intra-school tournament, the best players at each level are chosen to represent their teams in the National Rugby Tournament, where they will compete against other top high school rugby teams.***

Sakura is about to face a compelling challenge as he enters the world of a sport he knows nothing about. Will he rise to the occasion and discover ways to conquer this obstacle on his own, or will he embrace the support of others to reach the top? Don’t miss the excitement... watch "Wind Breaker: RUGBY SP" to find out!

    ---
I hope you all enjoyed the plot! But really, I want more Rugby anime... There are some Rugby manga with great potential like ***Rugby Rumble*** and ***Beast Children***, though the latter was unfortunately too short or maybe discontinued. T_T I should read Full Drum manga soon. :)
Thanks for reading and see you around!

Hello to all anime fans, otaku friends, I hope you are very well today... I want to talk to you today about one of my favorite anime of the year... I will give you my review with honest opinions of the anime: Wind Breaker... and I found this series quite fresh... the story introduces us to Sakura, a character that can seem quite common and at the same time different, it's strange to describe... His personality is quite typical, I think, but I think his motivations make him different from many other protagonists of shonen anime... He is an orphan who has been stereotyped all his life as a delinquent, only because of his appearance, Sakura since he was little has learned to fend for himself.. this background makes him a strong fighter focused only on his own interests.. but as the story progresses we see how he gradually matures and grows in unexpected ways.
One of the aspects I liked most about this anime is how the protagonist is learning about the value of fighting for others and not just himself, this development is touching in a way.. it makes it easy for us to root for his journey as he transforms into a protector and stops being the lone wolf he was.... Wind Breaker's animation is also another of its strengths, the animators did a fantastic job with the fight scenes! making them very dynamic and engaging, every punch, kick and key feels intense.
The viewer can very easily get lost in all the energy that his punches give off... it's like literally being right there in the middle of the fight. The choreography is also so interesting, each fight is responsible for telling its own story.. this adds a lot of depth to the characters involved.. you can see a lot of effort that this anime has behind it, you can tell they wanted to convey all the intensity and fluidity of the characters on screen, and they succeeded perfectly. In addition, the comedy in the narrative of the story also feels unique, despite some serious themes, the anime knows perfectly when to lighten the tone... and give you very funny interactions between the characters, creating a nice balance of brotherhood and friendship in the middle of the intense battles between gang members.

A curious aspect in Wind Breaker is the depiction of school gangs, a concept that I found a bit difficult to grasp. Is it really possible for these school gangs to exist in Japan without real consequences? In this world, it seems, crime and violence in the school setting are practically accepted and even romanticized, which I found a bit disconcerting and unrealistic.... It's strange to see how students get away with it so easily, especially since there is hardly any mention of teachers, police or any public authority figures seeing all the rampage these teens are causing, and they seem to refuse to intervene.
This suspension of reality proved difficult for me, since yes, obviously we are talking about fiction, about an anime, but unlike, at least in Tokyo Revengers, there is a certain “fear” for justice or the police.... Here, the absence of authority figures is like a way for the creators to convey that they are the ones “in charge”, the ones who watch over the city, and this is really strange... they are still mostly brats... it leaves much in doubt about what the adults are doing to stop this wave of crime and violence they are having in the city... But well, getting back to the central story, we see Sakura become a different fighter, someone more human and who really cares about protecting others..
We see that when he joins the Furin Institute, he expects it to be another place full of fights and violence without control, where only the strongest survive... However, he is very surprised to discover all the camaraderie found in the students... they are not just a bunch of thugs who fight for the simple fact that they like violence, but on the contrary, they fight to defend their city. The people of the city see these students as heroes, giving a 360 degree turn to the title of delinquent, this new aspect opens Sakura's eyes, who realizes that he is finally in a place where they value his strength and do not judge him... It is touching to see how she gradually opens up to this new community and how she tries in many ways to protect them, adding that emotional touch to a fighting anime.

The relationships that the main character establishes as the episodes go by I quite liked... each character is different and memorable.. they have their own peculiarities, personalities and motivations, they are not just background characters, at least the main group, but they are individuals that contribute a lot to Sakura's growth and give a lot of charm to the story... Even the leaders have their kind side, which is perfectly seen throughout the series... this comes to contrast in a very strong way with Sakura, since she expects the strongest to be the most violent or the most despot, and they end up being the opposite...
Among the aspects I liked the most about the series is the fact that everyone supports each other as if they were a family during fights, it's an interesting dynamic that gives a unique sense of camaraderie, which is rare to see in stories focused on gangs.. here everyone feels like brothers or like family, it's interesting to see these groups of criminals not treating each other in a bad way, at least not our protagonist group, but they understand each other, support each other and seek to bring out the best versions of each person..
Obviously it's weird to see how these groups of criminals operate in a world that seems to have no rules, where turf battles seem to be totally normal, I would have liked it more if the characters balanced their school lives with the expectations of society or even worked alongside the city authorities.... I feel like it would have been more unique this dynamic of mutual support between adults and delinquents, rather than just leaving all the work to them.. this omission makes me feel a certain disconnect that I find hard to digest story-wise, since as some of you may know, I'm very critical in the sense part of the stories and although this anime has incredible good points, it doesn't stop feeling empty narrative.

Wind Breaker is here to bring you exciting action and witty humor. It's a story about finding belonging, learning to care about others, and redefining our own purpose... the quality of the animation, especially the action scenes, are incredible, and obviously the character development is very worthwhile.... If you are looking for an anime that has good fights, with good humor and meaningful character development, I'm sure Wind Breaker will not disappoint.... I would give it a rating of 8.5/10. It may not be the most believable or realistic anime, but it's certainly one of the best we've been given this year. I give it this rating because I was really entertained watching it... both the soundtrack and the fights transmitted me many feelings that without a doubt made me smile a lot, I'm sure many of you will enjoy it... I'll see you in the next reviews, take care, I'll leave the opening down here, bye bye.

  8. Wind Breaker@irenenavarroart603d

Greetings everyone, today I come to share with you an anime that I really liked and exceeded my expectations, a short time ago I saw Wind Breaker, when I saw it I thought it was going to be a fairly simple anime about fights between gang members, however, the story wrapped me up letting me go in each episode, the protagonist is a boy named Sakura, he has just arrived in the city to study at Furin High School, but the reason why he is very excited to enter this is not for conventional reasons, because said school is known for having a very low student grade point average and instead there is a gang of students known for their violence and remarkable performance in street fights, Sakura’s dream is to reach the top of this place, that is, to become the leader and toughest and most feared guy of all but nothing happens as he thought.

    [Source](https://www.crunchyroll.com/es/news/latest/2024/6/27/wind-breaker-2-crunchyroll)

The personal reasons that Sakura has to always resort to street violence, is that he was always despised for his particular appearance, half of his hair is white and he also has one eye of a different color, you could say that he has half albinism so to speak although the anime does not mention what it is, I suppose it could also be a kind of mole that covers half of his head and face, something that I have seen in real people by the way, however in the anime this is a reason for him to always feel defensive with the people who approach him, that is, he is very lonely, but upon arriving in the city he realices that everything has changed, under the leadership of the new head of the Furin gang the city is not as he imagined, instead of making disasters like vile gang members, they are in charge of protecting the people and establishments of the city from the attack of other gang members, for this reason the citizens feel grateful and protected by them, under this context then Sakura realices that the idealized vision she had of reaching the reaching the top as a violent loner is not going to be possible.

Sakura is a good-hearted boy but has suffered so much discrimination and harassment in the past because of his appearance that it is difficult for him to socialize effectively, now Sakura’s path takes a different route but also with the aim of reaching the top, one of the most important lessons that I highlight from the anime is that from chapter one Sakura is made to understand that she cannot reach the top alone, with the passage of time and the fights that develop in the anime Sakura must learn what are the characteristics that make the leader of the gang someone that others want to follow and at the same time has earned the support of the citizens.

    [Source](https://www.tokyoweekender.com/event/wind-breaker-exhibition/)

In the fight against other gang members, there is the case of another leader of another high school who, quite unlike the Furin gang, this leader of the Shishitoren gang is the complete opposite, he expels from the gang the boys who have lost a single fight, he is becoming more and more alone due to the violence he exerts and the careless direction he takes in his leadership, assuming that strength is everything, so let’s say that Sakura can observe for himself the two sides of the coin in the leaders of the different gangs.

I must say that Wind Breaker is not just about fights, it is also a very emotional anime. I really liked the choreographies in the fights, the music and also the voices that print so much feeling in each character, especially the fact that being teenagers they carry their emotions to the maximum in each confrontation, but they also put their ideals and affections into play, where having fun with their peers is important within such a violent environment. This anime only has one season and they already announced that it will have a second season for next year, so I highly recommend it 🥰

    Nattosheru Review_20240926_204808_0000.png

Hello anime lovers. Today I want to talk to you about one of the best street fighting anime I've seen so far. After having talked about similar anime like "Bucchigiri?" which gained some popularity this year for being animated by the great studio MAPPA, in the end it doesn't beat the work we will talk about this time. Based on the japanese manga series written and illustrated by Satoru Nii, this anime adaptation was produced by the great CloverWorks studio. This is an anime that stands out, not only for the quality of animation offered by one of the best studios of this era, but also for the story and the way they develop the characters, with unforgettable battles and moments. If you are a fan of anime like "Tokyo Revenger", then you may be interested in giving this great fighting anime a chance.

    SPANISH VERSION

Trailer & Review

Next, I will leave you the trailer of the anime:

    hello@reallygreatsite.com_20240825_182859_0000 (1).png

As I have already mentioned in previous reviews, I am a big fan of watching an anime that has an excellent quality, and I am not only talking about the animation, the soundtrack or the visual and sound effects, but also about the story and the development of its characters. And so I can safely admit that this anime meets all these requirements to put it among the best action and street fighting anime I've ever seen. And I'm not exaggerating when I say this since, in the end, I haven't seen many fighting anime of this style. While I know many anime of the Shōnen demographic that have been a part of my life, most are always accompanied by elements like what other genres such as fantasy or science fiction have to offer. There are very few anime that stand out on their own without the need to tell such a fantastic story, but something much more original and realistic. This anime, undoubtedly, has managed to stand out very well, at least enough to touch the hearts of many and get a reputation that deserves a lot (maybe it deserves more, but it will depend on how they will continue with this great work for the following years).

Let's talk about what would be the beginning of a great and very valuable story, with a lonely boy named Haruka Sakura, who dreams of being the strongest of his generation and his city. The reasons for this unoriginal desire that he has comes from having had a troubled life for always receiving humiliation and rejection from the people around him because of his appearance, being a boy with half black and half white hair and with different colored eyes. Everyone sees him as a stranger, as a monster, being a victim of a superficial society that lives by appearances and that always criticizes and subjugates others because of their physical appearance. However, his first days in an area with a somewhat dangerous reputation will make him change his mind about how people see him here. Sakura meets people who don't criticize or judge him for his appearance, instead, they are kind to him. This new experience makes him interested in getting to know the people of Fûrin more and more.

At Fûrin High School, Sakura meets several members with very different personalities and thoughts. Being a boy who has always lived alone, meeting and socializing with so many people tests him as to what he is looking for, which is to fight with strong people, which puts him in an awkward situation. The development of our protagonist and his way of being in difficult moments stand out and attract a lot of attention, since he is not the typical protagonist who stands out for being an idiot or for having an innate ability or for being popular in some way. Instead, what he is good at is fighting, achieving several of the most impressive confrontations in this anime. Undoubtedly, this anime has a very good potential in terms of its story and its characters, which are presented to us in an excellent way and that will surely give its protagonism and development as they continue with the story. Unlike anime like "Bucchigiri?" which is more about fights and comedy with some fantasy, this anime has an excellent combination of action and humor without touching anything beyond the ordinary, giving prominence and a good development to each character.

The animation, on the other hand, is another of the most relevant details of this series. With the fluidity, details and animation quality it has in terms of the mix of 2D and 3D drawings and visual effects, CloverWorks studio does one of its best jobs that can be found in a work. Of course, what stands out the most in this incredible animation is the battles, which gives it that fantastic touch, despite not having anything fantasy or science fiction, being only an anime of street fights. The scenes and moments that this anime has are incredible at first sight. And this is not to mention the sound effects, which are also very well done. The soundtrack is, at best, one of the things that fascinates me the most about this anime, especially the Opening, which is one of my favorites without a doubt (there was even a whole week in which I listened to it all the time because I was fascinated by its rhythm and melody). Anyway, this work has everything you are looking for in a fighting anime, with good animation, good story and characters of all kinds.

Personally, I give it a 9/10 rating for the action genre.

  10. Wind Breaker (Anime) --- As amazing as the manga! <3@tegoshei679d

Several months ago, I made a review of a manga and a webtoon that shares the same title... and that is ***Wind Breaker***. Then during spring, the anime version of the manga was released. As usual, I didn't watch it soon. I tend to binge-watch anime once they're completed.

In the first season of Wind Breaker, the main character Sakura decided to enter Furin High School. This school is particularly known as a school of deliquents. Students there only know how to fight and our MC aims to be on top.
However, once he arrived, he realized the school wasn't as he expected. Yes, the students indeed excel at brawling, but they do so in order to protect their town and all the people in the area. Instead of being the headache of society, they're regarded as heroes.
Sakura didn't want to be a hero, though. He just wants to fight his way to the top. Well, would he still think the same as he further immerse himself with the group? (We need more seasons to answer that... haha)

The first season somehow focused on Furin's interaction with Shishitoren (a delinquent gang). I really like this part of the manga, so seeing this animated made me excited. The fight scenes were so amusing and dramatic to watch. I'm a fan of Togame, so it made me extra happy. (I do have a lot of characters I love from this series, though).

Another thing I enjoyed when I read the manga was the facial expressions made by the characters ... and they really gave them life in the animated version. Sakura's blushing face, Nirei's idiotic face and Suo's conniving smile. (UGH!!!!)

    [VIDEO SOURCE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62r_G9bEPlU)

I had high expectations of this anime especially because I really love the manga... and they didn't fail me.
Well, there's just one thing I dislike about this anime, though... Season one is too short... and they ended with a cliff-effin-hanger!!! Well, not that I don't know what happens next, but still... They're building the tension too much... (and I love it! hahaha)
It's refreshing to see action or shounen anime without the magical or supernatural aspect. Can't wait for the second season next year!!!
Also, the manga is still ongoing, but things are heating up more and more...
OK~ I think this has become a rant-slash-fangirl post rather than a proper review. Sorry about that...
I hope you give it a shot! See you around! (^^,)/

  11. Wind Breaker, a necessary anime@musicandreview774d

In a world where anime abound in all genres, we can say that first impressions count. Every time we sift through the different portals in search of something new and eye-catching, the covers or thumbnails become essential to catch users. An interesting and catchy name together with a well-crafted image can be key to get you to click and at least watch the first chapter. Of course, that does not determine everything, since at the end of the day the plot, the story and other aspects that catch our attention is what will make us stay to watch that anime until the end.

Now, “Wind breaker”, a shonen animated by CloverWorks studio, is one of those that from the first moment gave me a good impression. A name that arouses curiosity and hints that we will see freneticism and great emotions. I don't know about you, but before I saw the first chapter I imagined a shonen in which the characters would have powers related to the wind or the different elements, so I expected to see very well animated powers, with lightning, fire and other things in that style. Let's be honest, that's what the image below conveys.

In fact, the anime is about delinquent students who attend the Furin school in which only the strongest have a place, however, for some time now these students have been dedicated to protect the area in which they live, giving a big turnaround compared to what they used to represent. Thus, Haruka, a new boy in town who has always been despised for being different and as a result has a kind of resentment towards the majority, decides to enter the school with the intention of reaching the top.

    image.png

    Source

As I said earlier, only the toughest fights take place in these schools which are normally attended by juvenile delinquents, but to Haruka's surprise this no longer happens at Furin School, so she has no choice but to quickly adapt to the new dynamic. However, the action comes quickly for Haruka who instantly becomes famous after defending a girl and a group of shopkeepers from some bullying hoodlums. Up to this point I will tell you spoilers, in fact, what I mention so far is only related to the first chapter.

Wind breaker is how the now protectors of the city are called and this name alludes to those elements of fabric or other materials that are found in the entrances or other spaces of the restaurants that are intended to cut the flow of wind that enters from the outside, so I guess they used this name as an analogy of a group that is responsible for nipping in the bud the external threats of the city, but through force.

Watching this anime I felt a kind of refreshment because, although it is true that there are many anime with stories of delinquent students and gangs, this one quickly scales in the personality of the protagonists and does not hesitate to develop without many twists the development of each one that, although it is true that they have a past like everyone, they do not get involved in lengthening those memories that at some point can be boring. The animation is quite fluid and the comedy is always present, but without overdoing it. The serious topics are dealt with in a correct way and in that sense they have left a very good impression on me.

    WIND BREAKER | OFFICIAL TEASER

So far only 8 chapters have been aired, but they are enough for me to consider this one of the best anime of the year, in fact, I could say that I like it much more than Tokyo Revengers, an anime that has a similar theme, but with the difference that in the latter they are not students, but street gang members. And well, I feel that way since I detest protagonists who are weak and that's precisely what happens with Takemichi, while, on the other hand, Haruka is presented as a strong and determined character, although of course he's not quite perfect.

I say that Wind Breaker is a necessary anime because it rescues the best of the genre, it is not very deep, but it really does not have to be, I think the idea is that we can entertain us with a good dynamic between the characters and this anime knows how to do it. The fun and interesting personality of the main characters are an indispensable element for the development of the plot and I guess you will have good moments.

  12. Wind Breaker (Anime) - Review@workaholic666813d

    source

When I remember a few years ago, I liked films or anime with the theme of fights between groups or schools like Crow Zero and High n Low, these two films are still one of my favorites. In my opinion, only Japan can make films or anime with strong characteristics that are difficult for other countries to imitate, like fight scenes between gangs or groups in crowded which look very realistic even though if you look in detail there are still scenes that are leaked or not. Accordingly, I think Crow Zero and High N Low would be very different and less epic if they were produced by a country other than Japan, that's what I think.

    [source](https://www.sportskeeda.com/anime/wind-breaker-tokyo-revengers-even-less-common-haters-believe)

Even though there are many aspects that I praise, there are also anime with gang-fighting genres like Tokyo Revengers which in my opinion, is one of the worst and most annoying anime. From the start, I tried to follow all the storylines about the story of Takemicchi, who wants to save the people closest to him by going back to the past, as I watched it became more and more uncomfortable seeing the behavior of the main character, who was mischievous and always complaining, and the storyline was boring in my opinion.

I was hoping there would be a new anime with a genre like High n Low, and finally, I found it and immediately liked the first impression. A few days ago, while looking for new anime references, I saw the title "Wind Breaker" which had just aired this month. I immediately looked for it about this anime, and in this post, I will discuss it. This anime was produced by Aniplex, which is already famous for its many successful works, visuals, and designs by the CloverWorks studio, which is beyond doubt in terms of the visuals and quality of the anime.

    source

Wind Breaker tells the story of Sakura Haruka, a boy who has just entered high school and wants to become strong by fighting, with an unpleasant past that makes Sakura move to another city, and enter a school called Furin, which is famous for being a school filled with boys who like fighting.

When this anime first aired, I wasn't too enthusiastic because I didn't know that Wind Breaker was adapted from a manga that was released in 2021. When I saw the fight scene of the main character, Sakura, I immediately felt nostalgic for the fight scene in Crow Zero when a group of students at Suzuran high school started brawling.

I thought the main character would be a silly character like Naruto or Luffy, but it turned out to be very different from my initial impression of watching because Haruka Sakura came to the city just to enter the Furin school which was full of delinquents who liked to fight. The fight scenes in Wind Breaker are very acrobatic but not too excessive, the scene when Sakura fights a group of street gangs with a crowd of troops. At first, I thought she would succeed in defeating it herself, but when the senior students at Furin school came to help her, that's when I became more interested in Sakura in Wind Breaker.

    source

Another aspect that I like about Haruka Sakura is how the boy faced mental problems from a young age. After all, he was ostracized by the people around him because his physique was different from most people. He had never felt happy before, and when he first received thanks from people who loved him. he helped, Sakura felt strange because she had never felt a feeling like that before. When Sakura's first physical appearance reminded me of the antagonist in the film Dalmatians 101, I didn't know her hair was real, and her eyes were a different color. I can't reveal the other characters from this anime yet because Wind Breaker is still ongoing for 2 episodes. If you don't want to be exposed to spoilers, please watch it first, and then let's discuss it together.

    source

I recommend this Wind Breaker anime for those of you who miss fighting scenes or vibes similar to Crow Zero or high and low, and for those of you who want to move on from Tokyo Revengers, maybe this is the time to switch to Wind Breaker.

Everything I write in this blog is my personal opinion after watching, if you want to provide input or correct my review we can discuss it in the comments column, I'm just someone who likes anime, and after watching I write an honest review without anyone's intervention, so This is purely what I thought after watching. So, in conclusion, this article might be a spoiler or reference for those of you who are looking for a new anime with the high school fighting action genre to add to your watchlist.

  13. Wind Breaker (webtoon) ❌ Wind Breaker (manga)@tegoshei856d

As a lot of my fellow otaku(s) here know, I'm a sucker for sports anime and manga, but that's not the sole genre I enjoy. Though I might say, I enjoy it more than the others. *lol*
A few years back, there was this certain webtoon that I have been eyeing. There weren't a lot of chapters available back then, so I decided to save it for later. Fast forward to last month, I decided to start reading it. I remember the title, so I just searched it to check some information, but then another thing came up. It's a manga with the same title and from the looks of it, it was giving me *"Tokyo Revengers"* vibes.
Both of them are still ongoing but with already quite a number of chapters, so I decided to read both of them and finally caught up after a couple of weeks. *lol* What I'm talking about are the Webtoon and manga called ***WIND BREAKER***.
First, let's talk about the Webtoon.
    ## WIND BREAKER (Webtoon by Yongseok Jo) > *All photos are taken from the [WIND BREAKER WEBTOON](https://www.webtoons.com/en/sports/wind-breaker/list?title_no=372)*

    image.png

    image.png
The story revolves around the "perfect student" Jay. He is the student council president at their high school and he's a straight A students. He's kind of aloof and doesn't talk to anyone unless it's related to school affairs and studies.
If he's mostly buried under his books, except his way to and from home. He rides a bicycle his late uncle gave him. It's the only thing he does that he actually enjoys.

    image.png

Everything changed when Minu came into his life. Minu is a student from his school. He is the leader of a certain bike crew who happened to see Jay doing skidding brake from a very steep slope. He wanted to recruit him to his crew.
However, for some reasons, Minu ended up leaving his crew and creating a new one with Jay and other friends from school.

    image.png

Being a part of the ***Hummingbird Crew***, Jay experienced life and a new world outside of studies. *He finally became human!!!* Their crew joined a street bicycle race called ***LEAGUE OF STREET*** which opened up a lot of secrets including the death of his uncle.
The story is still ongoing, so I don't know what happened fully, yet. However, it's getting more and more interesting and the past has been clearer as each chapter and as the League of Street comes to an end.
*I like how crazy this Webtoon is. It's not your regular sports comics as it is much deeper than that. There's also a lot of fist fights and crazy moves, be it bike-related or not. There are also some sensitive topics like mental health issues, drugs, bullying, suicide and the like, so keep that in mind before deciding to read it.*
*On the brighter side, it depicts how awesome it is to have a circle of friends who are willing to give up even their own life to save you. I literally cried a bunch of times reading this Webtoon. The struggles they faced are relatable, but so are the support and love they had for one another. And oh, there's a pinch of romance and comedy in this series, too!*
Feel free to read it on Webtoon site or the app. It's for free, unless you want to buy the advance chapters. :)
Now, let's talk about the manga...
    ## WIND BREAKER (Manga by Satoru Nii) > *All photos are screenshots from the [manga](https://kodansha.us/product/wind-breaker-1/)...*

    image.png
As I was searching for the Wind Breaker webtoon, I stumbled upon this manga of the same title. It caught my attention because of the great art style and the vibes I'm getting from it. It reminds me of Tokyo Revengers for some reasons.
In this manga, Sakura Haruka, the main character, has nothing to do with weaklings. He's only interested in the strong and becoming the strongest. So, he decided to go to a town where the high school of his choice, FUURIN High is located.

    image.png

The photo above is practically the reason why he wanted to go to this particular school. This was his expectation. He wanted to be at the top of this school. However, when he arrived, it was quite different from what he had expected.

    image.png

Instead of being the social dropouts, the students of FUURIN high were considered heroes in the town. They were called **BOFURIN** which means *WIND BREAKER* by the residents. They live by protecting the town and its people from any kinds of destructions. They get along very well with the townspeople and Sakura found it extremely awkward.
Despite it being different from what he expected, he tried to stay true to himself and aims to fight his way to the top.

    image.png
So far, it has more than 130 chapters, but every chapter was so exciting to read. I couldn't stop and couldn't wait for the upcoming ones. Who would have thought that there'd be really kind delinquents? Earlier I said that it reminded me of Tokyo Revengers because of the fact that they're a gang and all, but the gang here has a really good purpose.
I also like how accepting and supportive the townspeople are. They don't judge delinquents by their appearance which is pretty heartwarming. It also has a Gokusen vibes to it, though there's no Yankumi-sensei in this manga.

As I was talking with my senpai about anime and the like, I told him how I enjoyed this manga recently and he told me that they're actually going to animate it next season starting April. I was so happy to know it and am excited to see Sakura and the rest of BOFURIN in action!
Of course, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the manga as well!

    ---
*And that, my otaku friends, was how I fell in love with a Webtoon and a manga of the same title. So if you're interested, feel free to read them as well. The Webtoon has almost 500 chapters while the manga has more than 130 chapters. I had to work, so I caught up with them in two weeks. It's a long read, but so worth it!*
