Hello friends, welcome to my blog, this weekend was a family movie with my nephews and one of the movies we saw was Hocus Pocus 2, I really wanted to see it because I saw the first part many years ago and I loved it, I wanted my nephews felt the same emotion of seeing the Sanderson sisters, in their hilarious antics. Without spoiling for those who have not seen it yet, I will only give my impressions and those of my children when they see the film. This film was directed by Anne Fletcher and starred the original cast of the first: Bette Midler, Kathy Najimi and Sara Jessica Parker.
Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, este fin de semana fue de cine familiar con mis sobrinos y una de las películas que vimos fue Hocus Pocus 2, tenía muchas ganas de verla porque vi la primera parte muchos años atrás y me encanto, quería que mis sobrinos sintieran la misma emoción de ver a las hermanas Sanderson, en sus divertidas locuras. Sin hacer spoiler para aquellos que aún no la han visto, solo daré mis impresiones y las de mis niños al ver la cinta. Esta cinta fue dirigida por Anne Fletcher y protagonizada por el elenco original de la primera: Bette Midler, Kathy Najimi y Sara Jessica Parker.
I think bringing the original cast together for this sequel was a great move, because sometimes in sequels they cast new actors for the roles. The chemistry and the performances of these three women playing these roles is extraordinary, you really think they are sisters because despite their differences and fights they always support each other. For those of us who have sisters, they remind us of our childhood and adulthood in which, despite all the fights, differences, the affection and love that we feel prevails. The film does not have a large budget for its development, so we will not see great special effects in this film, but great performances and hilarious dialogues between the Sanderson sisters.
Pienso que reunir el elenco originar para esta secuela fue un gran acierto, porque a veces en las secuelas colocan nuevos actores para los papeles. La química y las actuaciones de estas tres mujeres representando estos papeles es extraordinaria, de verdad crees que son hermanas porque a pesar de sus diferencias y peleas siempre se apoyan. Para quienes tenemos hermanas nos recuerdan nuestra niñez y adultez en que, a pesar de todas las peleas, diferencias, prevalece el cariño y amor que nos sentimos. La cinta no cuenta con un gran presupuesto para su elaboración, por lo que no veremos en esta cinta grandes efectos especiales, pero si grandes actuaciones y diálogos hilarantes entre las hermanas Sanderson.
One of the things that my nieces loved is that the film begins with three inseparable friends at school, the film emphasizes the importance of being united as sisters, they are all interested in the stories of their town, Salem and its witches. They have read that to be powerful sorceresses lies in having a strong coven. The friendship and union of the girls will be tested throughout the film, but the powerful message is that there is strength in union. I must say that despite the fact that the story does not bring surprises and is not as good in my opinion as its predecessor, to be a sequel and for those who never saw the first one, it is a fun film, with moments of drama, but it has a nice message.
Una de las cosas que a mis sobrinas les encanto es que la cinta comienza con tres amigas inseparables en el colegio, la cinta recalca la importancia de estar unidas como hermanas, todas tiene interés en las historias de su pueblo, Salem y sus brujas. Han leído que, para ser poderosas hechiceras, reside en tener un aquelarre fuerte. La amistad y la unión de las chicas se pondrán aprueba durante toda la cinta, pero el poderoso mensaje es que en la unión está la fuerza. Debo decir que a pesar de que la historia no trae sorpresas y no es tan buena en mi opinión como su predecesora, para ser una secuela y para aquellos que nunca vieron la primera, es una cinta divertida, con momentos de drama, pero que tiene un bonito mensaje.
For those of us who saw the first part, Disney brought us the nostalgia of seeing the Sanderson sisters again, and the new generations, making a sequel that has little to do with the first; with the exception of the Sanderson sisters, a young and fresh story with the participation of three young actresses: Cassie (Lilia Buckingham), Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) and Becca (Whitney Peak), who with their characters steal a bit of prominence from the sisters, but also with a chemistry that makes the whole story believable.
Disney nos trajo para aquellos que vimos la primera parte la nostalgia por ver de nuevo a las hermanas Sanderson, y a las nuevas generaciones, haciendo una secuela que poco tiene que ver con la primera; con excepción de las hermanas Sanderson, una historia joven y fresca con la participación de tres actrices jóvenes: Cassie (Lilia Buckingham), Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) y Becca (Whitney Peak), quienes con sus personajes se roban un poco el protagonismo de las hermanas, pero también con una química que hace creíble toda la historia.
To conclude, the movie Hocus Pocus 2 is not a work of art, but a film to spend with the family and enjoy the occurrences of the Sanderson sisters, laugh and have a good time. It's a long way from making it memorable and wanting to watch again and again, but it's got nostalgia for those who watched it and is entertaining for new audiences. If I had to rate it I would give it an 8/10.
Para concluir, la película Hocus Pocus 2, no es una obra de arte, pero si una cinta para pasar en familia y disfrutar las ocurrencias de las hermanas Sanderson, reír y pasar un buen rato. Le falto mucho para hacerla memorable y con deseos de verla una y otra vez, pero despertó la nostalgia de aquellos que la vimos y es entretenida para las nuevas audiencias. Si tuviera que calificarla le daría un 8/10.
