Hunters killer is one of the best movie for 2018 for me, the plot and each scene depicts the best of war strategy and no best actors to fit in each role than Gerald Butler, Gary Oldman, Common etc.
I have always been an avid fan of War and semi-war movies, I love adventure fantasy and some drama, romance is not really my thing while Horror and Thriller also makes my day anytime, this movie gave me a perfect close of the day moment.
Gerald Butler once again showed us that Olympus has fallen and London has fallen are not his best works, he displayed same brilliance in Den of thieves as well a as A family man. But the focus of the movie again is Russia, from fiction to fact; it hasn't go unoticed the fierce rivalry between United State of America and The Russian Federation.
A General in the Russian Army went rouge to orchestrate a War between this two great nations, taking down American Submarine as a desert before the main course. So many review had criticized how the script handled staging a coup in such an advance country, taking the country's President as Hostage to quench his bloodthirst for war.
But it's just a fantastic fictional work, better than Dunkirk if I must say, Hunters Killer was never overhyped, therefore, it satisfied everything I want to see in an action packed movie.

A full-blown war was averted, even though the lives of Naval officers in those three submarines; one US sub and two Russian subs paid the price.
The four Navy Seal that rescued the dethroned Russian President are another spice of the movie that gave me the chills because I have always wondered the difference between Navy Seals, Marines, Airforce, Navy and the Army.
Four went on a mission, two came back; typical sacrifice soldiers make for their Nation, in this case, these guys averted War that could wreck the World.
Once again, this is one of the most outstanding Semi-war movies on my list, 13th Hour; Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, 12 Strong are still my latest favorite plus Hunters Killer, I rate the movie;
