I actually enjoyed watching Atlas, especially because I wasn't expecting the story to go the way it did. From the beginning, I was interested in the whole situation with Harlan and how he became what he was.
What really caught my attention was the fact that Harlan wasn't just some random robot that appeared and became dangerous. I found it interesting that he was created by a mother for her son, and somehow the robot that was supposed to help ended up becoming a threat to humanity.
I also liked Atlas as a character because I could understand why she didn't trust AI. She had her own reasons for being afraid of them, so when she was forced to work with Smith, I knew it wasn't going to be easy for her.
At first, I honestly didn't think Atlas was going to trust Smith. She kept doubting him and trying to do things on her own. But as they went through everything together, I started seeing their relationship change. I liked the way Smith kept trying to help her, even when she didn't completely trust him. Little by little, Atlas began to realise that maybe not every AI was like Harlan.
The part where Atlas finally chooses to trust Smith was probably one of my favourite moments. I felt like that wasn't just about trusting a robot. For me, it was also about Atlas letting go of the fear that had been controlling her for so long.
I also liked how the ending brought everything together. Atlas was able to face Harlan. She went from completely distrusting AI to forming a real connection with Smith and trusting him with her life.
I wouldn't say Atlas is the most original science-fiction movie I've ever watched because I could predict some parts of the story. But I still enjoyed it. I liked the action, the futuristic world, the relationship between Atlas and Smith, and especially the way the story showed how trust developed between them.
For me, Atlas is one of those movies that I enjoyed more because of the relationship between the characters than just the action. I went in expecting robots and fighting, but I ended up paying more attention to Atlas and Smith's journey and how their trust in each other changed everything.
