Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is adventurous.
Four completely different teenagers are forced to become characters that are almost the opposite of who they are in real life. In that situation, their weaknesses become lessons.
The movie makes a good point about confidence. Spencer is physically weak but becomes the strongest character in the game. Martha lacks confidence but discovers that she 
is capable. Bethany cares so much about appearance that being trapped in another body forces her to see herself differently.
The video-game rules sometimes make survival too convenient.
By the ending, the group finally confronts Van Pelt and manages to return the Jaguar's Eye to its rightful place, breaking the curse and completing their mission. They are then sent back to the real world, where they return to their normal bodies—but they are no longer exactly the same people who entered the game.
Spencer has gained confidence, Martha is more comfortable with herself, Fridge understands that his worth is not dependent on being the strongest, and Bethany has learned to look beyond appearances. They also leave the experience with a stronger friendship.
The interesting part is that the game gave them extraordinary abilities, but they eventually discovered that they didn't need the game to become better versions of themselves.
It's a memorable movie.
