Regarding the film "Good Luck to You, Leo Grande", we have a couple of options, either we take it as a momentary entertainment, or we think of it as a contemporary event.
The plot, known to almost everyone, is that of an elderly widow (Emma Thompson) who hires the "sexual services" of a young man (Daryl McCormack).
The philosophical-repressive aspects that Nancy received and imparted over the decades, which also shaped her marital life, become evident.
The encounter is plagued by the psychological circumstances of both, plus those of the former teacher, who exposes a list of sexual activities, as if she were the one at the supermarket.
The circumstances will lead her to see herself, but not to answer what is the real meaning of going from the abolition of the woman object, to the man object and to include prostitution as a "job outlet", and many more.
I emphasize the contemplation on the screen (as Bergman did in his posthumous "Saraband") of the nudity of famous artists, already in their old age, which turns out to be an act of courage.
