A Breach of Trust...
(Late Review: This episode aired on 7th December)
Back in Star City after last week's events at Central City, Team Arrow returns to officially celebrate Oliver's and Felicity's marriage. Everyone is present, including the still recovering Thea and both of Felicity’s parents. But the festivities are undermined by a slightly darker undertone –Oliver and Felicity are getting their happy ending, John has Lyla and Junior, but none of the rest of the team are doing so well romantically. Then a bombshell drops from the D.A.’s office –someone from the team has agreed to testify against Oliver on his indictment as the Green Arrow.
Oliver is shaken and retreats at once into paranoia mode, trusting only Felicity, Diggle and Thea, and immediately commencing surveillance on the rest of the team. This leads to the discovery of Dinah’s secret meeting with her former partner and current antagonist of Vince, aka Vigilante. Since she’s the only one with something to hide, Oliver immediately concludes that she’s the traitor and tells her so in front of the entire team. However, at that point, Rene confesses –Agent Watson had threatened to expose him as Wild Dog and ensue he never sees his daughter Zoe ever again. But Oliver feels betraye and kicks him off the team.
Meanwhile, Black Siren attacks Thea and kidnaps Quentin, sending a message to Team Arrow from Cayden James that he would be exchanged for a nano-molecular device from ARGUS, something capable of turning the thermite they stole earlier into a bomb capable of obliterating the city. The team has no choice –they break into ARGUS and steal the device, but have Curtis sabotage it so it wouldn’t work for Cayden. Still, the mission to rescue Quentin is one that needs the whole team, so following advice from Thea, Oliver calls Rene back and gives him a second chance.
The tradeoff zone Cayden James has chosen is completely insulated and totally without surveillance. With Overwatch unable to help, the team splits up –Oliver to make the trade, Dinah in the shadows as his backup, and Rene and Curtis in hidden room as further backup. However, when Oliver sees that Quentin isn’t in the main hall with Cayden and his goons, Rene takes matters into his own hands and goes off to search for the man, forcing Curtis to go with him. Soon, they find Quentin in another room with Black Siren, but are outnumbered and unable to do anything. At that point, Cayden reveals he knows the device has been sabotaged and orders his men to kill both Oliver, who has dropped his bow, and Quentin. Dinah rushes in to assist him, but now Rene and Curtis are too far to help and are still unable to stop Black Siren from taking Quentin away. Luckily, she and Quentin have had a heart-to-heart –instead of killing him, she frees him and tells him to run.

Oliver is livid. This is the second time that day Rene has betrayed his trust and, for good this time, he sends him away from the team. Dinah, still mad for their unauthorized spying and the fact that they are treated differently form John and Felicity follows, and after a while, so does Curtis. Then we see the truth: Cayden James has been playing the team strategically all this time –first having Black Siren plant a camera when she invaded their lair, and working with Anatoly, Vince and Dragon, slowly and steadily tearing the team apart.
