Talk about exciting! Talk about great, unexpected twists! Talk about character depth! Talk about... Splendid!!!
This show was so good, I actually found myself hoping the villains wouldn't be stopped just so the story could continue in another season. Each character was well fleshed out and there wasn't a single cringy scene in the show. Okay, maybe Karen's backstory episode felt a teensy bit off and not as exciting a payoff as it should have been, and Macy's scenes were a bit cringy, but neither of them overly so.
The best thing about the season was that every character's action felt natural following their journeys thriugh the previous seasons and the Defenders show. Like, of course Matt would do this. Of course Karen would try that. Yes, that's so Foggy. And the new characters, mainly from the F.B.I and the orphanage were just splendid in adding to the dynamics of the show.
The story is a dark, emotional one. Much more emotional than the previous seasons have been. I almost shed some tears myself. A lot of previous storylines were concluded, and there were many satisfying payoffs. Wilson Fisk was scary in his genius, as usual. If you haven't seen it, prepare to be amazed by the game of chess he plays around all the other characters. All these were done with a remarkable fast pace that just leaves the watcher glued.
And finally, the action sequences were superb. Very realistic, considering these are people with super abilities. Definitely worth watching. And if I can, worth watching again.
