DC's Titans Season 1 Premiere: '' Review

Yay! DC's Titans has finally premiered! Except, after seeing the first episode, I'm not that excited anymore. I'm finding it hard to believe that Greg Berlanti, the showrunner and hero of the Arrowverse is involved in this. I'm just not feeling it, and I usually give superhero shows a lot of slack. I mean, I'm one of those who believe Marvel's Inhumans deserves a second chance!

Okay, maybe I'm being a bit harsh. It wasn't all that bad. I truly loved the portrayal of Rachel and how her power manifests. The way she meets Dick Grayson is a bit unfeasible, though I'm hoping that will be explained better in later episodes. Only a brief glimpse of Beast boy at the very end of the episode. Nothing of Starfire yet.

And as for Dick himself... Well, he's still a bit of an enigma. However, his brooding is not the least bit likeable. It doesn't draw us in to want to know him better. His unfriendliness is just annoying, and how his true caring side is revealed doesn't really fit. He's, in short, a dick.

Still, now that he has taken Rachel under his care, I'm curious to see where the show goes next. Hopefully the storytelling gets better.

What do you think of the new Titans show? Have you got a chance to see it? Who would you like to see as part of the show? Let's know in the comments!
