Short Story:
The story of the movie revolves around Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The city's notorious gangster Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) raises and nurtures an orphaned child, Colt (Matt Damon), from an early age, to enlist him in the police force as his accomplice. Sergeant Dignam (Mark Wahlberg) from the police department, on the other hand, sends undercover agent Bill Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) as a spy to Frank's team so that the police force can gather strong evidence of Frank's crime. Because Frank was a very muddy fish, the police had no evidence of his crimes. So the work went according to plan, gangsters and a lot of gangsters joined the police force.

The story of the movie goes on like this. At some point, both sides realize that a rat has been inserted into their group, but no one knows exactly who that rat is. That's when the cat-and-mouse fight, DiCaprio vs. Matt Damon, began. Take a look at the rest of the movie.
Personal Opinion:
If Matt Damon, DiCaprio, in a movie, Actors like Jack Nicholson act together, and if Martin Scorsese is the director, then the movie has to be a masterpiece. This is the first line of crime-drama genre film, thriller lovers can watch the movie in one breath. Every actor has performed to the best of his ability. Leonardo came out of his chocolate-boy look with this movie. Jack Nicholson looked like a real gangster. The ending of the movie has been very surprising. The movie won Oscars in four categories, including 'Best Film' and 'Best Director' that year.
Something About Matt Damon:
I first saw Matt Damon in this movie and fell in love with his acting. Since then I have been watching his best films one after another like Good Will Hunting, The Martian, Ford v Ferrari etc. All in all, I became a fan of Matt Demon just by watching this movie and I am still a big fan of him. He had a dream of winning an Oscar for Best Actor, although that hope has not yet been fulfilled. His next project undefined Good luck with Christopher Nolan's film Oppenheimer.
