A veces un ser humano puede hacer cosas que para cualquier otro que lo vea poco sentido tiene. Dedicarse y meter gran esfuerzo en actividades que tal vez no lleven a ningún lado, pero lo hacemos porque algo en nuestro interior nos mueve a seguir haciéndolas. Es una de las ideas que se muestra en esta cinta. La película estrenada este año y disponible en Netflix, es una animación de producción francesa, dirigida por Patrick Imbert. La historia está basada en el manga del mismo nombre de Jiro Taniguchi.
Sometimes a human being can do things that make little sense to anyone else who sees it. Dedicating ourselves and putting a lot of effort into activities that may not lead anywhere, but we do them because something inside us moves us to keep doing them. Makoto Fukamachi, luego de realizar un trabajo fotografiando a alpinistas, un extraño le ofrece vender la cámara de Mallery, un alpinista del que no se supo si fue el primero en llegar a la cumbre del Everest ya que no volvió. Luego de rechazarlo, acaba viendo que esa cámara es reclamada por Habu Joji, un alpinista japonés que se encontraba inubicable. Esto lo llevará a investigar si esa cámara es real, y más aún le hará conocer a Habu Joji, y su pasión por el alpinismo.
Makoto Fukamachi, after doing a job photographing mountaineers, is offered by a stranger to sell the camera of Mallery, a mountaineer of whom it was not known if he was the first to reach the summit of Everest as he did not return. After turning him down, he ends up seeing that the camera is claimed by Habu Joji, a Japanese climber who was unreachable. This will lead him to investigate if that camera is real, and furthermore will make him get to know Habu Joji, and his passion for mountaineering.
La película muestra en su esplendor el alpinismo, desde diversos escenarios en que puede desarrollarse, hasta los pensamientos y emociones que se encuentran al realizarse. Y como mencioné al comienzo, nos muestra mucha pasión. Tan bien hay mucho silencio, ya que así se desarrolla esa actividad, permitiéndonos apreciar los escenarios y el temporal de los mismos.
The film shows mountaineering in its splendor, from the various scenarios in which it can be developed, to the thoughts and emotions that are found in its realization. And as I mentioned at the beginning, it shows us a lot of passion. So well there is a lot of silence, since that is how this activity is developed, allowing us to appreciate the scenery and the time of the same.
La animación es excelente como su edición, por ese lado no creo que pudieran hacerlo mejor. Lo único raro es que si lo ves en idioma original, es que escucharás hablar a japoneses en francés, extraño.
The animation is excellent as is their editing, on that side I don't think they could do any better. The only weird thing is that if you watch it in the original language, you will hear Japanese people talking in French, strange.
En mi caso, que la altura me choca fuerte, al menos con este tipo de película puedo trasladarme a esos bellos escenarios y sentir de alguna manera lo que sienten los personajes.
In my case, that the height shocks me hard, at least with this kind of movie I can move to those beautiful sceneries and feel somehow what the characters feel.
Es una animación muy recomendable, y si ya te llama la atención este deporte, es imprescindible.
