En los últimos años, han salido diversas películas semi biográficas de diversas bandas o cantantes famosos, entre ellos tenemos Bohemian Rapsody, Straight Outta Compton; la idea general es mostrar los orígenes, el ajetreo en las giras, así comos sus diversos problemas. El título que reseño hoy muestra lo mencionado de la banda de rock Motley Crue. La película fue estrenada el 2019, siendo el director Jeff Tremaine.
In recent years, there have been several semi-biographical films of various famous bands or singers, among them we have Bohemian Rapsody, Straight Outta Compton; the general idea is to show the origins, the hustle and bustle of touring, as well as their various problems. The title I am reviewing today shows the aforementioned of the rock band Motley Crue. The film was released in 2019, the director being Jeff Tremaine.
Frank Carlton Feranna Jr. tiene una infancia difícil, con un padre desaparecido y una madre que pasa de él, decide buscar su independencia, lo comienza cambiándose de nombre a Nikki Sixx. En su juventud como músico se agrupa con excéntricos personajes, como el baterista Tommy Lee, el vocalista Vince Neil y el guitarrista Mick Mars, formando la banda Motley Crue. Los eventos que le siguen estarán llenos de rock, drogas y sexo, trayendo también sus consecuencias.

Si bien la película muestra los orígenes de la banda, lo que resalta son los excesos de la misma. Mostrando los diversos problemas como las infidelidades, el abuso constante de drogas, las peleas entre los integrantes y lo increíble que a pesar de todos esos problemas, la banda siguiera adelante. También hay momentos dramáticos, debido a fallecimientos de familiares o amigos del grupo.
While the film shows the origins of the band, what stands out are the band's excesses. Showing the various problems such as infidelities, constant drug abuse, fights between members and how incredible that despite all these problems, the band kept going. There are also dramatic moments, due to the death of family members or friends of the band.
Una de las partes más entretenidas del film, es cuando muestran el día habitual de Tommy Lee en una gira, imperdible. En el aspecto musical, si bien se escuchan diversos éxitos de la banda, puedo mencionar que no es el foco de la historia, ya que se toca ligeramente el tema.
One of the most entertaining parts of the film is when they show Tommy Lee's usual day on tour, not to be missed. On the musical side, although there are several of the band's hits, I can mention that it is not the focus of the story, as the theme is lightly touched upon.
En general, la película es entretenida de ver, donde los diversos excesos de la banda sorprenderán a muchos. No es para todo público, ya que muchas escenas les parecerán grotescas o chocantes.
Overall, the film is entertaining to watch, where the various excesses of the band will surprise many. It is not for all audiences, as many scenes will seem grotesque or shocking.
Lo recomiendo a fans del grupo y a las personas interesadas en ver a una banda alocada.
