   I love music and I love rock'n roll. It is interesting that I missed watching this 2019 release on Netflix. I only could watch it after the algorithm recommended me when I watched Metal Lords ( A fiction movie that deserves its own review).

   Mötley Crüe isn't my favourite rock band from the 80's, but still they have some good music classics, such as "Kickstart my heart", "Girls, Girls, Girls" and more pop songs that I don't like much , more balad like, "Home Sweet Home". Probably most of the rockers know them, however, if you are not much into it you still need to watch this movie. The movie is based on their autobiography published in 2001.

   If you start watching the movie without knowing that it is based on their autobiography, I guess you will think that it is a fiction movie. I am saying that because, for me, all the events that happened with the members of the band is unreal, most caused by them with some exception.

   But after watching the movie I guess that some of these events mostly repeat in many the rock bands and even in general music and movie world, such as drugs, relationship problems (such as cheating) and psychological disturbs ( such as addictions). However, their manager mentioned in the movie that he has already taken care of many other rock bands and celebrities, but none of them behaved crazily as Mötley Crüe.

   It is amazing if you can see in the picture above how the actors looked like the original artists, I didn't know most of them, but they were totally inside in each of their different personalities. The only one that I knew was Iwan Rheon , most known as Ramsay Bolton from Game of Thrones acting as Mick Mars.

   The series of unreal events starts at the beginning of the movie with Nikki Sixx childhood, at that time his name was Frank. His father abandoned him, he stayed with his mom that didn't care about him, only cared about her lovers. So he starts to get revolted against his mom, which concludes with him injuring his own arm with a knife! After calling the authorities he says that his mother was the one that injured him. The officers send his mother to jail and he ends up in the street. When he reached the legal majority he decides to change his civil name to Nikki Sixx and burns his old ID.

   Nikki starts his music career which is also not successful in the beginning, with lots of fights with band members, until he knows Tommy Lee (For those from the 90's he is the one in the sex tape with Pam Anderson), the future drummer of the band. Tommy Lee different from Nikki has a totally different childhood where he had all the support and love from his family, but he is younger than Nikki and also fall into all the sins of drugs, sex and rock'n roll life. They start the band , but they had only a bass player and a drummer. After a guitar audition, one of the candidates is Mick Mars, which is a cranky older guy affected by a bone degenerative disease that causes lots of pain to him. Mick shows great skills with the guitar and sends home the other guy that was also in the audition. For vocals, Tommy Lee knew an old colleague from school that was doing some cover band shows, Vince Neil. A tall, blonde and skinny guy that used to make a lot of success with girls. They form Mötley Crüe then.

   After that, the band starts to grow and they meet other crazy personalities such as Ozzy Osbourne. And some sad moments happen such as the premature death of Vince Neil's 4 yr old daughter from cancer. The movie is very interesting to watch I recommend it.
