Ya salió en HBO la adaptación del videojuego The Last of Us. He podido ver los primeros 3 capítulos, así que he decidido dejar unos comentarios de lo que se ha visto hasta el momento.
The video game adaptation of The Last of Us is out now on HBO. I've been able to watch the first 3 episodes, so I've decided to leave some comments on what has been seen so far.
Sinopsis: Joel es un sobreviviente, que luego de pasar por un trágico pasado y encontrarse en un mundo donde humanos infectados han vuelto un infierno la vida. Tendrá que llevar a una chica llamada Ellie a donde sea requerida, debido a que ella guarda una solución al estado actual.
Synopsis: Joel is a survivor, who after going through a tragic past and finding himself in a world where infected humans have made life hell. He will have to take a girl named Ellie wherever she is needed, because she holds a solution to the current state.
Es una historia que mezcla la clásica distopía zombie con la aventura de una padre e hija, que no lo son, intentando sobrevivir y llegar a ciertos objetivos. En el medio, la tragedia humana y como la humanidad ha tenido que adaptarse de diversas maneras al estado actual. Desde dictaduras, saqueadores, terroristas, violencia y muchos, pero muchos infectados.
It is a story that mixes the classic zombie dystopia with the adventure of a father and daughter, who are not, trying to survive and reach certain goals. In the middle, the human tragedy and how humanity has had to adapt in various ways to the current state. From dictatorships, looters, terrorists, violence and many, many infected.
El primer capítulo muestra el pasado de Joel, en el 2003, mostrando el momento exacto donde todo comenzó a torcerse en todos lados. A su vez, ya en el presente, 20 años después, vemos cómo ha ido adaptándose, y luego siendo arrastrado a la historia principal, que será guiar a una chica desconocida (Ellie) a donde tenga que llegar.
The first chapter shows Joel's past, in 2003, showing the exact moment when everything started to go wrong everywhere. At the same time, in the present, 20 years later, we see how he has been adapting, and then being dragged into the main story, which will be to guide an unknown girl (Ellie) to where she has to go.
En el 2do capítulo veremos un poco más de acción y como es difícil transitar en ese mundo repleto de dificultades. El 3er capítulo muestra una historia alterna para ahondar otros temas.

Reseñado lo anterior, puedo decir que en general está siendo una muy buena adaptación, especialmente por los 2 primeros capítulos que mezclan el drama con la acción. Pedro Pascal hace un buen papel como Joel, es indudable que le calza el personaje, por otro lado Bella Ramsey como Ellie, si bien no está mal, en ciertos momentos me hace dudar si podrá estar al nivel necesario para el resto de la serie.
Having reviewed the above, I can say that in general it is being a very good adaptation, especially for the first 2 chapters that mix drama with action. Pedro Pascal plays a good role as Joel, there is no doubt that he fits the character, on the other hand Bella Ramsey as Ellie, although she is not bad, in certain moments makes me doubt if she can be at the level needed for the rest of the series.
La producción es impecable, el CGI es excelente. Y el buen juego de luces logra crear un ambiente de terror en bastantes escenas. El sonido por el momento cumple, sin resaltar mucho. Si tienes el tiempo, y te gustan los zombies, esta serie es obligada de ver. Recomendable por el momento, esperemos que siga así.
The production is impeccable, the CGI is excellent. And the good game of lights manages to create an atmosphere of terror in many scenes. The sound for the moment complies, without standing out too much. If you have the time, and you like zombies, this series is a must see. Recommended for the moment, let's hope it continues like this.
