I like reflections, and boy, do I read a lot of them, but their biggest weakness is that they tend to be more boring than my own soul. That’s why I’ll add a touch of good, gut-wrecking, radioactive-pink bubblegum to this review 🤪🤪, I think it will bring a smile to the complex and manipulated reality we are living in.
They Live is a film that represents exactly that, but by kicking the rear end of the dominant and controlling boredom of the elites. It was a movie slaughtered in its time, which is classic John Carpenter... but I also think time took care of giving it its rightful cult status among the American audience back then, because of how Carpenter portrayed the way they control us socially, politically, and constitutionally.

They Live es un film que representa justo lo anterior pero dandole una patada en el trasero al aburrimiento dominante y controlador de las elites, pelicula masacrada en sus tiempos, algo tipico con John Carpenter.... pero tambien el tiempo pienso se encargo de darle su merecido lugar de culto en la audiencia Americana de la epoca por la manera en que Carpenter represento la manera en que social, politica y constitucionalmente nos controlan.

Carpenter takes all of the above and turns it into animatronics 🤩🤩.... WoW!! How I loved rewatching this movie precisely because of the puppets; they are so bizarre, terrifying, and raw to look at. If you like that relatively old-school way of making 80s cinema, this movie is already for you.
In reality, the puppets aren't horror-like—please, to the audience that doesn't watch horror, this is not a horror movie 😅😅—and honestly, the puppets are just as human as you and me because of how artificial and apathetic they are toward humanity. Beyond how ugly they look, otherwise, they are very human..... which further expands the social representation of today's world in this Carpenter film.

Si te agrada esa forma relativamente antigua de hacer Cine de los 80, ya por alli esta pelicula es para ti
En si los Muñecos no son de Terror, por favor audiencia que no ve Terror, esta no es una pelicula de Terror 😅😅 y los muñecos sinceramente son tan humanos como tu y yo por lo artificiales y apaticos que son con la humanidad, mas alla de lo feos que son, de resto son muy humanos..... lo cual amplia aun mas la representacion social del mundo actual en este film de Carpenter.

Hay disparos, golpes, caidas imposibles de sobrevivir pero tambien La Elite esta presente en su historia y hace nada muchos creiamos que eran fabula. Si vemos atras en el tiempo, muchas obras ya nos delataban ese Regimen de Control, en Cine de los 80 They Live pateaba tu trasero conformista y ya te advertia del consumismo, el dinero y el control.
Un chicle y Patear Traseros.... Que mas premisa quieres para ver esta pelicula que plantea La Matrix mucho antes que la misma Matrix 🤪🤪
