I have been watching a series and that is "From" it was released in 2022. To be honest, I have been avoiding this series for a while, because I thought it was not worth it. I was very wrong about it. It has got my standards higher. I can't believe that I got so hooked into the story because of the first episode. I'm planning to review it episode by episode so if you don't want spoilers then it will be better not to continue reading.

I am going to review it thoroughly as much as possible. I have fallen in love with this series and I can say I'm pretty much devoted for it now. Let's start with the story. In episode one we see a man holding a black man who was ringing a hand bell. In the beginning, I could not understand why he was doing that because I thought this movie was from modern time. Then I understood that it was to send people back home but it was daylight. I thought maybe it's their traditional or cultural but it was more than that.

Later we see a father who was too drunk, his friend asked him to go back home before it's night but he was not waking up. In the next scene we see the wife with her daughter waiting for him. But it was already too late. She decided to lock the door and asked her daughter to be in the bed. In a while, suddenly a Knocking sound was heard by the young child. It was a woman's voice she claimed to be he grand-mother of the girl. I was a bit confused because why would her grandmother climb second floors window instead of entering through the main door? I had so many questions in my mind because it was really weird. When the child removed the curtain from the window and saw the lady she realized it wasn't her grandmother but an old lady. The old lady asked he child to open the window. Meanwhile, her mom, came into the room she pleaded her daughter to get away from the window but she didn't listen and opened the window. And after that I was scared to see what happened. That old lady her face changed like a monster. It was like a jumpscare but it wasn't, it's just that I was not expecting to see something like that.

Then it moves to the next scene where a couple was travelling with their family, they had two children, one was elder daughter and another was younger son. They were traveling in a RV (motorhome). The sister was playing with her brother and teasing him. In a while, they saw a big tree which had blocked the road. They got out to check and suddenly there crows appeared one by one they were all making noises. This scared the family so they decided to move fast. Later they had reached a town where people were burying the daughter and the mother who had died last night.

The family tried to go and talk with them. There again we see that black man who was ringing the bell previously. He told everyone not to talk with the family. Which was again weird. I was confused because I couldn't guess what was going to happen next. The black man his name is Boyd Stevens, he's a Sheriff. He guided the family to take the straight road ahead. The family started their journey again. In a while they realized they came back to the town again even though they had taken a different route.

They got confused and both husband and wife were panicking about it. Sheriff Boyd Stevens and Deputy Kenny were laying down a spike strip across the road. The thought first came into my mind was that these people are bad because they are trying to stop the family. I already had made up my mind that they didn't have good intentions. On the other side, while driving the family crashed their vehicle because of the other car on the road. I almost thought everyone was dead but luckily they were surviving.

The one who had caused their accident, he was also injured he arrived in-front of Sheriff Boyd and they realized the vehicle already had crashed. The called for others help and Sheriff Boyd went inside the motorhome. He had rescued everyone but the young boy had injured his leg for that reason the father (Jim Matthews), stayed with his son (Ethan). The mother (Tabitha) and the daughter (Julie) went to the town with other people, also they had another survivor with them who was (Jade Herrera) from the car who had caused the accident.

Kristi(nurse) stayed in the RV to treat Ethan's leg injury, Boyd was trying to convince Jim to calm down. As they covered each window with pillows and curtain it was making Jim nervous. He was feeling threatened by their actions. Then we some people outside standing and smiling at them. Byod had hanged a stone and believed it's going to protect them from the things outside. Jim couldn't understand a thing because why he would need protections from humans.

Basically, the things outside looked like human but they were not human. They were some evil being who would eat humans alive. They torment the human and eat them, they treat humans as a toy. They don't come out in the daylight and that reason is unknown. And people get inside their house before the sun goes down, they are supposed to lock the door and keep the curtains closed. These things can manipulate if you look in their eyes, for that reason it's preferred not to look. Also, no one can get out of the town once they are in. It's like a loop whenever they will try to get out they will return to the town again.

So, it was a mind blowing start. I wasn't expecting this much. I had no idea this series was based on such story. To be honest, a light hearted person can't watch this series because there's too much of disturbing scenes. You will see human organs popping out which is horrible for me but I managed to watch it because the story is interesting. It has intensity and a blend of horror I have so many questions, how did they reach there, what are those creatures who looks like human? why they are all trapped there? Who's behind all of this? So, I will definitely recommend this series.

Rating: 100/100
