The show finally shifts gears. Yes, at last we get more of everything. More action, actual answers and not just questions, reunions, and more of the supporting characters. Yet, somehow, all of this doesn’t feel enough.
The answers and events are not exactly satisfying. Alexandra is not the villain I was hoping for. Madame Gao is cooler and better than her in every single way. The Hand doesn’t feel like a very impressive organization, just super ninja, super stalker. Nothing we haven’t seen before.
I guess what I am trying to say is, that I feel that the heroes are totally safe and totally equipped to handle this treat. The mystery wasn’t mysterious enough. And Jessica Jones’ sarcasm can’t hold an entire show together.
The Elektra side plot was cheesy in a bad way. I do believe in cheesy in a good way. But they could have done so much with her, or do it in so many different ways.
For the first few minutes I thought the show was finally going to setup its game, but alas, false alarm.
I give it a 6.5/10.
