The Gifted Episode 4 Review – No Spoilers

This episode was full of action and flashbacks. It was so fun that it passed in a heartbeat. We learned more about the background stories of Eclipse and Polaris, and even Thunderbird. So, Eclipse and Polaris got the cheesy part, which was only good because it was nice to see them use their powers for fun. Thunderbird got the more touching and hard backstory.

The saga with Sage, Thunderbird and Blink feels really unnecessary to me. Bad romance drama that doesn’t work. At least with Eclipse and Polaris it makes the show more interesting. Although I don’t know how Eclipse will get out of the rough spot that he got himself into.

I am a bit torn about the action, which isn’t really great for one particular reason. Budget. You can tell where the special effects have been applied, because it doesn’t look even slightly real. This isn’t Game of Thrones, it’s a low-maybe medium budget show and Mutants never look good with low budget. On the plus side they did the best that they could with their budget and they made up for it with a lot of action that doesn’t require CGI. So, in the ending it was entertaining, though it takes you out of the moment at times.

Also, I have to say that the Strucker kids make for a pretty good team. I still don’t like the character of their mother, still a walking cliché.

The episode ends with a promise for more. More action and more moral question to be asked. I am looking forward to it.

I also want to point out that I stopped watching the show for a while, because of some serious lack of time. Not because I don’t find it interesting.

I give it 7.5/10

In the US, they screwed up the weekly episode order. It was frustrating so I stopped watching. Maybe I will binge watch when it hits amazon.

I like movie with flashback session. It would made me always curious and anxious about the story. Thanks for your recommended. I'll watch it!
