Yes, I am officially onboard “the gifted” train. I really like it. This episode we got to see Thunderbird’s background story. Well, we got a glimpse of it and it was really interesting. We also got to see him use his powers in cool new ways, so awesome. It was fascinating to see how slowly the world escalated. You also can’t help but feel that some of things we see are totally relevant to our own world. As is usually the case with sci-fi and fantasy. In this case I feel the discussion is around how hate and war are an endless cycle.

It was nice to see Reed Strucker and his son, Andy, bonding in this episode. Both kids got to shine and use their powers in a really cool way. I am now back to hating Kate Strucker. Even her husband has a better grasp of the situation that they are in and what it requires them to do. She just seems so disconnected from everything.

Also, as the noose around the mutants gets tighter, the situation turns into something completely different than expected. The new mysteries just get more mysterious and I hope that the answers will live up to the expectations in the end.

All in all, another entertaining episode.

I give it 8/10
