Judas and the Black Messiah Review - Political Curse

Review by @reviewzzz · 1954d · of Judas and the Black Messiah

Today we have a new movie and a new story on the artistic scene, and with the repetition of films that have become boring, this film comes to us in a new way in order to gain millions of views all over the world.

So what is special about this movie and what is the story? This is what we will learn about in today's review?

In this film we have a new story, a distinctive performance and a wonderful vision from the director, and this made a difference with this film, which is the simple touches that give beauty, whether in the dialogues, in filming, or even during the quiet in the film.

What made the film more distinctive is that it was actually based on a true story that took place in Chicago in the 1960s, which gave it a special flavor, whether dramatically or politically.

The story

The story of the film begins with talking about a car thief in Chicago who robbed and stole cars in the city after concealing his identity in the image of a federal agent.

But with the passage of time, the winds come with what the ships do not desire, as he is arrested by the federal police after being arrested, he is given the choice to agree to be recruited as a secret informant to mix with one of the revolutionary parties of brown skin.

Then he gets involved, gets involved in the party, becomes a secret informant, and after about 50 years he decides to tell us this story.

Impression

The film is wonderful and full of dramatic events throughout the film, and if you do not take the film with a political character, you will enjoy the film, especially as the film is adapted from a true story by a person who tells us his story as a secret informant after about 50 years.

Although our hero in the movie is the most prominent character, but he was not the only one, we have another character in the film to compete with him, which is Fred Hampton.

If you want to see the film from the political side, this is not a problem. You will see the film as a documentary film that was perfectly shot, but the film is very strong and excellent.

Movie features

I personally liked the movie, for several reasons the strong gay performance that you rarely see in a historical drama film like this one. Daniel O'Neill performed the role to the fullest, his acting was calm and his tone of voice fantastic in acting.

The soundtrack in the movie was also more than wonderful, and you will notice it and attract you to it throughout the events of the film.

If you want to take the movie as a crime movie or as a political movie, this will not prevent the fun.

Although the director considers this film one of his first works, he presented us with a wonderful film, as he is the writer of this movie as well.

Finally, the film includes political, dramatic and crime aspects for us. At the beginning of the film, he managed to bring us out a wonderful and beautiful cocktail.

The only problem with the movie that you may feel is that the film may not attract you to it at the beginning, until the middle of the film, so if you read this review, I recommend that you be patient with the film until the events escalate.

My review of the movie is 8/10
