After an eternal wait, the second season of Euforia has officially started and with it the abundant controversies that have flooded this brilliant and toxic series since its inception have returned.
It is not for little, if the first season worked as a kind of gimmicky show that represented the harshness of teenage life in a surreal way, Euphoria 2 takes it to an exaggerated but attractive level without the slightest intention of stop.
Those who may have found themselves caught up in its more natural and "realistic" elements will find little comfort in this sequel, which instead focuses on elevating the stakes to absurd levels.
I personally find the result very enjoyable. Euphoria is a work of extreme artistic quality where each shot is executed to perfection and everything is accompanied by first-rate performances and a wonderful soundtrack.
Although it may seem like a dangerous glamorization of a lifestyle full of drugs and self-destructive behaviors, a much more mature look suggests that this is actually a sharp criticism, without fear of demonizing what should be demonized and presenting with hedonism what is enjoy (without denying that it is still harmful)
As always: it is too early to know for sure but for now Euphoria remains one of the greatest series of our present time, regardless of whether or not your moral compass aligns with what we are seeing in front of the screen: there are brilliant characters with well-constructed narrative arcs, excellent direction, and unmeasurable amounts of creativity.

Luego de una eterna espera oficialmente ha iniciado la segunda temporada de Euforia y con ella han regresado las abundantes polémicas que han inundado a esta brillante y tóxica serie desde sus inicios.
No es para poco, si la primera temporada funcionaba como una especie de espectáculo efectista que representaba la crudeza de la vida adolescente en una forma surrealista, Euphoria 2 lo lleva a todo un nivel exagerado pero atractivo sin la mínima intención de frenar.
Aquellos que se hubiesen encontrado atrapados con sus elementos más naturales y "realistas" tendrán poco consuelo con esta secuela, que en cambio se enfoca en elevar todo lo que está en juego hasta niveles absurdos.
El resultado personalmente lo encuentro muy disfrutable. Euphoria es una obra de extrema calidad artística en dónde cada plano está ejecutado a la perfección y todo se encuentra acompañado por actuaciones de primer nivel y una banda sonora estupenda. Aunque pueda parecer una glamourizacion peligrosa de un estilo de vida lleno de drogas y conductas autodestructivas, una mirada mucho más madura deja entrever que está es en realidad una crítica punzante, sin miedo a satanizar lo que debe ser satanizado y a presentar con hedonismo lo que se disfruta (Sin negar que sigue siendo nocivo)
Cómo siempre: es muy temprano para saber con certeza pero de momento Euphoria se mantiene como una de las series más grandes de nuestra actualidad, independiente de que tú compas moral se alinee o no con lo que estamos viendo frente a la pantalla: hay personajes brillantes con arcos narrativos bien construidos, una excelente dirección y cantidades inmesurables de creatividad.
