Disclaimer: This review assumes that you are up to date with the MCU and contains minor spoilers about Avengers Endgame, I omitted to go into details regarding the content of the first two episodes of Hawkeye but I still thought it was appropriate to inform you of this.
As those who know me will already know, these last two years have put my loyalty to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the test, all as spectators can agree that their latest installments have had quite mixed results and with the passage of time their seams become they start to notice more and more.

It does not help his defense that films like Black Widow and The Eternals are such mediocre products, one for being conservative and the other for trying to innovate in the wrong areas without any artistic or emotional value.
So why am I giving the Hawkeye series a try?

Hawkeye, like all the original Marvel and Disney Plus series, works as a hybrid between the epilogue of Avengers Endgame and a story that seeks to develop one of its main characters individually. Since Josh Whedon decided to put the spotlight on his back in Age of Ultron, Clint Barton has become a fascinating superhero who despite his limited powers manages to be the recipient of several of the most emotional conflicts that have stepped on the MCU.

Without the intention of falling into spoilers, Hawkeye follows the modern Marvel trend of introducing new characters with very transitional intentions, with the advantage that unlike others like Yelena in Black Widow (Or the girl from Wandavision with superpowers whose name I already forgot) here They are genuinely empathetic, Clint takes on an almost paternal mentoring role that contrasts nicely with what we know about him.

Beyond that there is little to say, we have a decent script, good acting, it feels fresh, it introduces nice characters and although it maintains several of the defects that have made me sick of the MCU I feel that there is a lot of potential and it is not worth abandoning it (Still ).

Como aquellos que me conocen ya sabrán, estos dos últimos años han puesto a prueba mi fidelidad por el Marvel Cinematic Universe, todos como espectadores podemos estar de acuerdo en que sus ultimas entregas han tenido resultados bastante mixtos y con el pasar del tiempo sus costuras se empiezan a notar cada vez más y más.

Luego de hacerlo, realmente, podría decir que incluso me siento feliz de haberlo hecho.
Hawkeye, al igual que todas las series originales de Marvel y Disney Plus, funciona como un híbrido entre epílogo de Avengers Endgame y una historia que busca desarrollar a uno de sus personajes principales de forma individual. Desde que Josh Whedon decidió poner los focos sobre sus espaldas en Age of Ultron, Clint Barton se ha convertido en un superhéroe fascinante que a pesar de sus limitados poderes logra ser el recipiente de varios de los conflictos más emocionales que han pisado el MCU.

Sin ánimos de caer en spoilers Hawkeye sigue la tendencia del Marvel moderno de introducir nuevos personajes con intenciones muy transicionales, con la ventaja de que a diferencia de otros como Yelena en Black Widow (O la chica de Wandavision con superpoderes cuyo nombre ya olvidé) aquí resultan genuinamente empaticos, Clint toma un rol de mentor casi paternal que contrasta muy bien con lo que sabemos de el.

Más allá de eso queda poco que decir, tenemos un guion decente, buenas actuaciones, se siente fresca, introduce personajes agradables y aunque mantiene varios de los defectos que me han hastiado del MCU siento que existe mucho potencial y no vale la pena abandonarla (Aun).
