A couple of weeks ago I told you a little bit about the first season of Malcolm in the Middle, an early 2000s sitcom that seemed to be quite ahead of its time and whose interest had recently been rekindled.

As I always say, despite the fact that in the midst of my responsibilities I don't always have the necessary time to watch all the series I would like (at least not as long as I would like), I always make time to watch those projects that I enjoy, especially when These are light novels that have the ability to represent a point of escapism and fun from the exhausting reality that surrounds me.

Considering that, at least on a thematic level, the beginnings of the series were closely linked to the young age of its protagonists (Reese, Dewey, and Malcolm himself), it is to be expected that a series like this begins to falter as the story progresses. advancing, as happened in the case of other great sitcoms like Two and a Half Men or (The one clearly inspired by this series) Modern Family.

As a consequence, the golden question when it comes time to evaluate the subsequent seasons is: Is the spark maintained even though the central characters have grown?

The answer varies depending on who you ask, but at least in my case... I could say that there is an undeniable change but it is generally positive.

If Malcolm In the Middle began as the story of a super gifted child who had to grow up in the midst of a dysfunctional family but one characterized by love, as the chapters progress we delve into much deeper and more interesting topics: The search for love as a social inept, the desire to run away from our responsibilities and the fear of not belonging.

Malcolm in the Middle has obviously matured, is much denser and has given up its lightness, but at the same time gained a ton of passion along the way.

Malcom in the middle is a fantastic show with amazing comedy that gives you hard laughs and it is the only show I tried to watch hoping I would like. Don't get me wrong I love the plot of the show but the actors are the reason why I stopped at season 4. Again, don't get me wrong me wrong, the actors were good with their performances but I didn't just like them. You know some actors give one that kind of vibe. No matter their performance, you wouldn't just like them.

2 and the half men?! That show is a classic😂. I would watch again anytime, any day. Amazing review you have here. I enjoyed reading it.
