Today, as a result of its imminent withdrawal from the Netflix catalog on December 31, after seeing it being a trend on Twitter with several thousand people complaining behind it, I decided to revisit one of my favorite sitcoms, a series that in my opinion after a couple of years of glory stopped receiving the love he deserved: Modern Family.
Born out of the same school as The Office with a multi-camera shot mockumentary format, Modern Family is a warm and entertaining representation of the American way of life, with all its flaws and strengths included.

It's funny that after so many years I almost forgot her completely, because her jokes, her character development and how they evolve organically have been burned into my brain, it was only enough for Netflix to decide to remove it from its template to make resurface all those beautiful memories. A sitcom that undoubtedly can coexist with giants like The Office or Silicon Valley, not because it is artistically the most prolific but because it knows how to give us its heart.

Hoy, como consecuencia de su inminente retiro del catálogo de Netflix el 31 de diciembre, luego de verlo siendo tendencia en Twitter con varios miles de persona quejándose detrás decidí revisitar una de mis sitcoms favoritas, una serie que a mi parecer luego de un par de años de gloria dejó de recibir el amor que merecía: Modern Family.
Nacida de la misma escuela de The Office con un formato de mockumentary grabado con múltiples cámaras, Modern Family es una representación cálida y entretenida del estilo de vida americano, con todos sus defectos y fortalezas incluidos.

Este balance tan complicado que logra desde su primer episodio es la clave cuando se trata de mantener esta armonía que hace que esta serie se sienta como ninguna.
Modern Family transmite comodidad, tenemos la oportunidad de ver tanto a los niños como a los adultos crecer a lo largo de los años y también podemos aprender lecciones en el camino. Es un slice of life que incluye en cada frames mensajes trascendentales.

Es curioso que luego de tantos años casi la olvidé totalmente, porque sus tanto sus chistes como el desarrollo de sus personajes y el cómo evolucionan orgánicamente se han quedado grabado a fuego en mi cerebro, solo bastó con que Netflix decidiera retirarlo de su plantilla para hacer resurgir todas esas lindas memorias. Una sitcom que sin duda puede coexistir con gigantes como The Office o Silicon Valley, no porque sea artísticamente la más prolija sino porque sabe entregarnos su corazón.
Vamos a extrañarla.
