Saludos Hivers, feliz fin de semana para todos. Anoche mientras estuve buscando entre las tendencias y más destacado de netflix para mirar y me encontré con esta trama de sci-fi que me llamó la atención.
Greetings Hivers, happy weekend to all. Last night as I was browsing through netflix trends and highlights to watch and came across this sci-fi plot that caught my eye.
Esta protagonizada por Brad Pitt quien siempre me parece hace un estupendo trabajo, y también pude ver la actuación del actor que hace el papel de Snow (Donald Sutherland) en "Los juegos del Hambre", tan frio y directo como siempre.
It stars Brad Pitt who I always find does a terrific job, and I also got to see the performance of the actor who plays Snow (Donald Sutherland) in "The Hunger Games", as cold and direct as ever.
El inicio de esta película me encanta porque se deja ver la tierra desde lo hermoso del universo. Muchas veces las personas nos preguntamos si de verdad se ve de esa forma, entre tonalidades azules y llena de nubosidades. Yo creo que debe verse así.
I love the beginning of this movie because it lets us see the earth from the beauty of the universe. Many times people wonder if it really looks like that, between shades of blue and full of clouds. I think it must look like that.

No se mucho de ciencias pero en la mayoría de las películas se deja ver que lo que cae a la tierra se incinera de cierto modo, por lo que un traje o cuerpo no basta para poder apaciguar dicho daño colateral.
I've always known that astronauts who fall from space to earth must do so with a special craft that can withstand the heat. I don't know much about science but in most movies it is shown that what falls to earth is incinerated in a certain way, so a suit or body is not enough to be able to appease such collateral damage.

It immediately made me think that Pitt's role here was that of someone supernatural, perhaps an alien or machine, but even then being someone made of metal the skin would have torn off his body and exposed the metallic body.

A mi parecer es una trama bastante confusa, la persona que buscaban se dedicaba a explorar el universo en búsqueda de más vida o incluso de extraterrestre. Tal vez para colonizar o simplemente indagar. Pitt básicamente se convirtió o es lo que hace su padre, pero el enfoque que le dan a su personaje pareciera dar a entender que se trata más sobre los estragos de ser un astronauta. Todo lo que deja atrás, las personas, el amor y el rencor que tiene hacia su padre.
In my opinion it is a rather confusing plot, the person they were looking for was dedicated to explore the universe in search of more life or even extraterrestrials. Maybe to colonize or just probe. Pitt basically became or is what his father does, but the approach they give his character seems to imply that it's more about the ravages of being an astronaut. Everything he leaves behind, the people, the love and resentment he has for his father.
La verdad es que no hay un tema raíz ni algo que se pueda entender a simple vista o incluso mirando toda la película que me parece es bastante larga y lenta. No es mala, pero no es para recomendarla más allá de ver las maravillas del universo.
The truth is that there is no root theme or something that can be understood at a glance or even watching the whole movie which seems to me to be quite long and slow. It's not bad, but it's not to recommend it beyond watching the wonders of the universe.
