¡Hola, Hivers! En este post les traigo la reseña de una película policial del presente año, con actores muy buenos y reconocidos como Denzel Washington y Jared Leto. Esta película se llama The little things o Pequeños detalles en español.

El director y guionista americano John Lee Hancock nos trae esta película de 2 horas y 8 minutos de duración, donde veremos al sheriff Joe Deacon (mejor conocido como Deke) junto al detective de homicidios de Los Ángeles, Jim Baxter, tratando de resolver una serie de asesinatos a féminas quienes fueron maniatadas y asesinadas, pero nunca violadas. Los nuevos asesinatos despiertan fantasmas en Deke, exdetective de homicidios, quien no pudo atrapar al culpable años atrás. ¿Podrá con el apoyo de Baxter, atrapar al culpable de múltiples asesinatos y encontrar la paz mental que anhela?
The American director and screenwriter John Lee Hancock brings us this 2 hour and 8 minute long film, where we will see Sheriff Joe Deacon (better known as Deke) together with the Los Angeles homicide detective, Jim Baxter, trying to solve a series of murders of women who were murdered, but never raped. The new murders awaken ghosts in Deke, a former homicide detective, who failed to catch the culprit years ago. Can he, with Baxter's support, catch the culprit in multiple murders and find the peace of mind he craves?

Deke es interpretado por el laureado Denzel Washington, reconocido por un sin fin de participaciones excelentes en películas de acción, drama y suspenso. Rami Malek, cuya fama se disparó con su papel de Freddy Mercury, interpreta al detective Baxter. Por último, en las menciones importantes tenemos a Jared Leto, quien interpreta a Albert Sparma, un técnico descuidado que cada vez ganará más relevancia en la trama.
Deke is portrayed by the multiple award-winning Denzel Washington, recognized for countless outstanding performances in action, drama, and suspense films. Rami Malek, whose fame soared with his role as Freddy Mercury, plays Detective Baxter. Finally, in the important mentions we have Jared Leto, who plays Albert Sparma, a careless technician who will gain more and more relevance in the plot.

🗣 Opiniones/Opinions 🗣
The little things se basa principalmente en el suspenso y el crimen, con la principal premisa de un asesino en serie cuyo blanco son las mujeres. En uno de mis post anteriores¹, hablé de cómo el tema está bastante trillado, y aquí está la muestra de ello. La diferencia entre las dos películas es que en esta, manejaron mejor el tema y fue más interesante y entretenido. Aquí si vemos una investigación, recuerdos del pasado, a los detectives pensar, recolectar pistas e ir tras la pista del asesino.
The little things is mainly based on suspense and crime, with the main premise of a serial killer whose target is women. In one of my previous posts¹, I talked about how the subject is quite trite, and here is the sample of it. The difference between the two films is that in this one, they handled the subject better and it was more interesting and entertaining. Here if we see an investigation, memories of the past, the detectives think, collect clues and go on the trail of the murderer.

La actuación de nuestros protagonistas es buena, ya que Denzel está más que acostumbrado a este tipo de roles, Rami no lo hace mal y quiero destacar la interpretación de Leto, quien escenifica muy bien la personalidad de enfermiza y despreocupada de Albert. Del film me gustó mucho la banda sonora y los diálogos en general, no fueron sonsos y nos dieron una buena historia.
The performance of our protagonists is good, since Denzel is more than used to this type of role, Rami does not do it badly and I want to highlight the interpretation of Leto, who portrays Albert's sick and carefree personality very well. I really liked the soundtrack of the film and the dialogues in general, they weren't silly and they gave us a good story.

La película no es aburrida, pero sí me dio la sensación de que duró más de lo necesario y en algunos momentos se estancaba un poquito la historia. Quizás unos 20 minutos menos de película la hubiesen hecho mejor de lo que me pareció, sin brindarnos alguna que otra información que fue innecesaria para el desarrollo de la trama. En general, hubo un buen manejo de la historia y la temática es interesante, bien por eso.
The movie is not boring, but it did give me the feeling that it lasted longer than necessary and at times the story stagnated a bit. Perhaps 20 minutes less of the film would have made it better than it seemed to me, without giving us some other information that was unnecessary for the development of the plot. In general, there was a good handling of the story and the theme is interesting, well for that.

🗣 Comentarios finales/Final comments 🗣
Siento que la película carece de acción, y no está tan mal pero siempre se aprecia un poquito de peleas, balaceras y sangre fresca brotando de los cuerpos. Suspenso tenemos de principio a fin, gracias a las decisiones que toman los implicados y las consecuencias de sus actos. Si ya viste los estrenos taquilleros como Rápidos y Furiosos 9, Suicide Squad y Jungle Cruise y te quedaste sin opciones, esta es una buena apuesta si estás buscando algo más tranquilo pero entretenido e interesante.
I feel like the movie is lacking in action, and it's not too bad but you always see a little bit of fighting, shootings and fresh blood gushing from the bodies. We have suspension from beginning to end, thanks to the decisions made by those involved and the consequences of their actions. If you've already seen blockbuster releases like Fast and Furious 9, Suicide Squad, and Jungle Cruise and ran out of options, this is a good bet if you're looking for something more laid-back but entertaining and interesting.

Algo que sí me pareció muy interesante y aplaudo al guionista por eso, es el giro que tomó la historia al final y cómo se repite, de cierto modo, la historia de Deke pero esta vez en Baxter. La conclusión de la trama creo que vale la pena verla, no tiene desperdicio. ¿La recomiendo? Sí, vale la pena verla, salvo tengas que estudiar para un parcial o tengas una cita.
Something that I did find very interesting and I applaud the writer for that, is the turn the story took at the end and how Deke's story repeats itself, in a way, but this time in Baxter. The conclusion of the plot I think is worth seeing, it is not wasted. I recommend it? Yes, it is worth watching, unless you have to study for a partial or have an appointment.
