Hello Movie Lovers ❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's week 55 on #cinetv and the theme proposed for this week is to give a favorite movie on the beach.
Frankly, there are a lot to choose from; The Shallows, The Beach, Old, Jaws, and so on. After some back and forth, the movie I will be giving a review on is titled;
BAYWATCH (2017)

Baywatch is a 2017 American action comedy film starring two "hunky dudes", though one is "hunkier" than the other 😉😉😉.

The movie starred Dwayne Johnson as Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon who is a member of an elite Lifeguard division. As Lifeguards, he and his team are in charge of safeguarding people on the beach.
The movie also starred Zac Efron as Matt Brody who is an entitled Olympic Swimmer and he felt he doesn't need to partake in the "tryouts" before making the team as he believes he is already in the team.

The movie also starred Priyanka Chopra as Victoria Leeds who is a powerful and shady businesswoman who owns a hotel and also runs an illegal drug business by the side.
I must confess, this was the first time I watched her movie which isn't an Indian movie and she gave an excellent performance as always.
My view on the movie
At the beginning of the movie where they had the tryouts to recruit new members into the Baywatch team. I love how Mitch Buchannon schooled Matt Brody. The fact that you are an Olympic gold medalist doesn't make you better than everybody and I love how Matt is made to "know his place".

I also love how coordinated the members of the teams are in their training and all, well seeing as "people could die" if there aren't well organized, I'd say they did well.

One of the actor's performances that I found kinda hilarious is Sergeant Garner Ellerbee (played by Yahya Abdul- Mateen II). He practically antagonized Mitch every chance he got. Like be calming down a little bit, what has he done to you?

There was also some sizzling chemistry between Matt Brody and Summer Quinn(played by Alexandra Daddario). Though Matt started with her on the wrong foot due to his cocky attitude but after he had finally earned his place on the team, they started a relationship.
.

One of the scenes that pop into my head whenever I remember this movie is this bathroom scene between Ronnie Greenbaum (Played by Jon Bass) and C.J Parker ( Played by Kelly Rohrbach). Even as I am typing currently, I'm having a good laugh.
It started with Ronnie not knowing that the Bathroom is a Co-ed bathroom and since it can be used by both males and females, they don't bathe wearing their birthday suits. Unbeknownst to Ronnie, he was busy singing his heart out when C.J. came in to take his order for food.
Seeing as his "crush" caught him at his vulnerable moment and with nowhere to run, he resigned to his fate and allowed her to "check him out". They also started a relationship after they have defeated their "arch nemesis" and I saw it coming because he had been crushing on her from the very first time he set his eyes on her and being that he is a down-to-earth guy, I knew C.J would reciprocate his feelings.

All in all, the cast gave an amazing performance and I assure you the movie isn't a waste of time.
Thank you all for visiting.
