Insomniac Film Festival #48: Deadpool 2

Review by @rvgenaille · 2961d · of Deadpool 2

289E522E-EDDB-4E36-8F76-C71FA2927BAF.jpeg Julian Dennison, he of Hunt for the Wilderpeople is in Deadpool 2. This is something I was unaware of going into this movie. This makes the movie worth seeing on its own as he gives a powerful performance as a scared, angry young mutant named Russell at the centre of this movie. This includes assembling a crew of mutants he calls the X-Force to fight him. There are plot holes of course but overall it was entertaining and funny. I don’t believe the articles that claim it is a subversion of superhero movies as I didn’t see much in the way of subverting of superhero tropes in the way the first one tried. Maybe I missed them. 481890BA-DC8A-4B80-BFAC-F0A3873A0F07.jpeg At any rate, worth seeing folks!

Worth Seeing.
