**_Shun is killed by Aldebaran of Taurus (as everyone, except Seiya) and the beginning of the fight is lost. Then he joins the rest of the Bronze Saints to fight against Aldebaran and in a combined attack with Hyōga and Shiryū, they manage to freeze the arms to the Holy Dorado, so they manage to advance to the house of Gemini.
In the manga, Aldebaran lets the trio of Santos pass after Seiya's victory without any previous combat.

Shun and the others enter the House of Gemini together, however, upon leaving they notice that they are again in the entrance, but this time there are two Houses of Gemini. Enter with Hyōga in the house on the left. Shun tries to save Hyōga who, being unconscious, falls into the Other Dimension of the Saga of Gemini. On the verge of falling himself into the other dimension, he awakens his seventh sense and attacks the Kyōkō Arles in his rooms. When the illusion fades, move on to the next house.

He arrives with Shiryū and Seiya only to find Hyōga, on the edge of death and trapped in the Ice Coffin of Camus of Aquarius. Thanks to the Armor of Libra and to Shiryū, Hyōga is released and Shun remains behind to help Hyōga to recover of the powerful frozen air of Camus. Using his cosmos, he manages to return the heat to Hyoga's body even at the cost of his own life, thus saving the life of the Saint of the Swan.

The last combat of Shun in the Twelve Houses (without counting the battle against Saga). Shun faces Aphrodite of Pisces, whom he recognizes as the man who, along with Milo of Scorpio (in the anime), murdered his master. Aphrodite embarrasses Shun with her attack of Royal Diabolical Roses and Piranha Roses.
However, on the verge of death, Shun uses his maximum power (it is said to be the most powerful and destructive attack of all the bronze saints) The Nebular Storm and defeats Aphrodite, but also falls mortally wounded by the Bloody Rose. Notably, he was the only Bronze Saint who killed one of Gold without committing suicide (Shiryū against Shura, Ikki against Shaka) or being helped (Shiryū against Mask of Death, Hyōga against Camus).

Temple of Athena
**_Temple of Athena: (In the anime) Shun, Hyōga and Shiryū freshly saved from death by Athena, react to seeing Seiya practically destroyed by the attacks of Saga. The three attack the Saint of Gemini, but their powers are returned to them. Despite his terrible injuries and not having his five senses Seiya rises again, the other Bronze Saints motivated by this attitude, react and light their cosmos to the fullest and unite him to Seiya, who defeats the evil power that dominated the mind of Saga.

In the Valhalla Palace, he fights against Syd de Mizar Zeta, who uses the cold air and leaves him badly wounded at first. However Shun, making use again of his Hazy Steam, defeats a confident Syd. Then comes Syd's twin brother, Bud de Alcor Zeta, who defeats Shun and Shaina who appears to help him. Once again, the timely appearance of the Phoenix saves the situation.
Later he tries to fight with Siegfried of Dubhe Alfa but trying to defend Hyoga who was badly wounded, uses his rolling defense that finally, he can not against the Sword of Odin of Siegfried and falls defeated.

Seiya and Shun are the first to descend into the marine world with the company of rescuing Saori Kido from the hands of Poseidon. There they meet the mermaid Thetis de Sirena and with the marine general Dragon de Mar; although they do not really know who he is. Then both are directed to the pillars.

Pillar of the South Pacific Ocean
**_The first Marine General he meets is Io de Scylla, who uses his seven beasts to defeat Shun.
Once he has seen all his techniques, he defeats him using a different form of attack and defense with his chains, to defeat each beast. However, because of his inability to hurt people, Shun does not end with Scylla but chains him and tries to destroy the pillar. Unfortunately, he does not succeed because he does not have enough power for it; General Scylla, taking advantage of this situation, frees himself, and attacks Shun by momentarily overcoming him. But, Shun uses his chains to catch again Scylla, who this time can not get away, because the chains and the armor of Andromeda turn golden. Scylla dies trying to protect the pillar when Shun uses one of Libra's weapons to knock down the Pillar.

Pillar of the Antarctic Ocean
**_In the Antarctic Ocean Pillar, Shun finds Hyoga and Seiya lying on the ground without understanding why they are like this. Then the chain of Shun feels the presence behind his back of an enemy, when he turns around he sees that it is Kasa de Lymnades transformed into Ikki de Fénix. He has a battle in which he could have easily triumphed but let himself be carried away by sentimentality, so Kasa almost defeated Shun but the real Ikki appears to save his brother and the other saints by killing General Marino.

Pillar of the South Atlantic Ocean

In this pillar, Shun finds Sorrento de Sirena and his terrible flute music, against which the Andromeda chain of Shun can do nothing. Without having any other choice, Shun uses his Nebular Storm to get rid of Sorrento and thus be able to destroy the North Atlantic Pillar.

Poseidon's temple
**_In the Temple of Poseidon help Seiya to face the Golden Arrow of Sagittarius Poseidon, the god of the seas, however not to not get the favor of carrying a Golden Cloth does not actively participate in the final fight.
It is considered that this saga of Saint Seiya is where Shun stands out with greater plenitude, since it defeats two of the Seven Marine Generals who are believed to be the strongest. In addition to this, it also awakens its seventh sense and its sacred bronze armor is transformed into a golden armor.

In the OVA, when he is on his way to the Sanctuary he is attacked by Sirius de Can Mayor, Dio de Mosca and Algethi de Hércules. These had been resurrected by Hades in exchange for their fidelity, Shun manages to defeat them using his Nebular Chain. Later he would be responsible for using that same attack so that, along with Seiya, Shiryū and Hyōga, the fused Athena Exclamation would rise (in the manga, only Shiryū). Like the other Bronze Saints he arrives at the Athena Statue, when she had already taken her own life. Shion explains the reason for this death and with the blood of the goddess restores the Bronze armor. Then, they go to the Castle of Hades to help the golden saints Mu, Milo and Aioria.

In the castle of Hades, Shun fights along with the other bronze saints against one of the three judges of hell Radamanthys of Wyvern. He defeats everyone without difficulty, and is only beaten with Seiya who enters the underworld along with him (in the manga the confrontation is against Gordon of Minotauro, Queen of Alraune, Valentine of Harpía and Sylphid de Basilisco). Shun tries with the remaining bronze saints to also enter the underworld, but the master of Shiryu, Dohko tells them that they must awaken the Arayashiki (8th sense).

Shun enters hell by raising his cosmos to the maximum, and meets Seiya. The two cross the door of hell, and meet the Charon specter of Acheron, who is the ferryman to cross the Acheron River. Shun offers Charon a medallion (given by his mother, according to Ikki) in exchange for helping them cross the river. Charon accepts, however, in the middle of the river throws Seiya from the boat, who is then saved by Shun. Charon continues with the crossing, but tries to throw Seiya again. Surprisingly, he stops attacking the saints when he watches Shun's eyes because he claims they are the purest he has ever seen in his life.

In the First Prison, he is confronted by Lune de Balrog, who judges him with his whip. Shun begins to doubt the reasons that led him to hurt so many people throughout his life. He is saved by the illusion that Kanon used in Lune.

In the Second Prison, he and Seiya find Pharaoh of Sphinx who together with Cerberus tries to stop them, but at that moment Orfeo de Lira makes his appearance with his Stringer Nocturne unconscious, after getting up they meet Eurydice, who is the reason why Orpheus is in hell. The saints are surprised because Eurydice is a stone statue; she begs them to make Orpheus return to Earth, because he is still alive and has a life ahead of him. Orpheus discovers later that it was the fault of Pharaoh and Pandora that Eurydice became stone. Because of this, Orpheus confronts Pharaoh, where he is defeated and dies. After this, Orpheus says goodbye to Eurydice and prepares to take Shun and Seiya to Giudecca.

In Giudecca, Orpheus sleeps with his lyre attack to all the judges of hell and Pandora. He sets out to attack Hades who is sitting on his throne behind a veil. However, Orpheus is very surprised to see that Hades looks a lot like Shun. In any case, Orfeo attacks Hades, manages to finish him; but then he realizes that Hades's body was not there (it was an illusion). As soon as he realizes it, Wyvern's Radamanthys attacks him deadly. Orfeo, agonizing, refuses to wake up the other judges and Pandora. Radamanthys attacks him but Orfeo holds Radamanthys and begs Seiya to attack him, even at the cost of his own life. Seiya uses his meteors and Orpheus dies. However, Radamanthys was still alive, as revenge tries to attack, but Shun speaking with the voice of Hades tells him to stop. Radamanthys believes that Shun is imposing the voice, then he decides to attack him, but this one again with the voice and with another stronger aspect he returns to rebuke him. The spectrum soon realizes that Shun is the chosen body to be the reincarnation of Hades. Seiya is attacked and sent to one of the hells: the Cocytos.

After Shun-Hades, he receives Athena and Shaka in Giudecca. Saori offers his life in exchange for stopping the Great Eclipse that would align not only the moon with the sun but the rest of the planets of the solar system. Hades accepts and takes a spear to kill Athena. However, Athena stops the spear with her hands saying that before killing her, stop the Great Eclipse. The blood that emanated from Saori's hand, comes by chance to the body of Shun-Hades, and this is exorcised by contact. Shun falls and the soul of Hades kidnaps Saori and takes her to the Champs Elysees, but not before summoning the dreaded Eclipse.
Along with the other bronze saints has a brief confrontation with Minos of Grifo. After the sacrifice of the 12 golden saints to break the Wailing Wall (wall that separates the underworld from the Champs Elysees), Shun goes with the other saints to the Champs Elysees.

Upon encountering his first enemy, the lesser god of death Thanatos, Shun wears the Virgo Cloth, although for a very short time, because it is quickly destroyed by the god. Then, Seiya raises his cosmos to the maximum and, thanks to the blood of Athena, revives his armor, which is reborn as the divine armor of Pegasus, or armor Kamui (clothing that the ancient gods of Olympus used). After defeating Thanatos, he arrives to fight his twin brother, the lesser god of the dream, Hypnos. Once Seiya has come to the temple on the Elysees to help Athena, with no one to stand in front of Thanatos, Ikki hits Thanatos to stop him from stopping Seiya, and just before Thanatos attacks Ikki, Shun gets his armor divine and stops Thanatos with his reborn chains.
