The Silver Saints: The Fight for the Golden Armor
Seiya and Hyoga arrive from Siberia and see that Ikki has returned from the dead to fight at his side. Meanwhile, Arles has no other choice and sends Misty the Lizard, Silver Knights, to kill Seiya. Along with Misty, Arles sends Marin, Feminine Knight of the Eagle and teacher of Seiya.
During a walk on the beach, Seiya meets Misty and Marin. Kiki, Mu's squire and apprentice, who was accompanying Seiya, used his power to bring the Pegasus's armor so that he could fight. Marin explains to Seiya that Misty is a Silver Knight and that he can not defeat him; Having said that, Marin goes through Seiya's armor. Seiya falls, but Misty is surprised to see the ease with which Marin killed him, so after burying the body, Misty tells Marin to leave and dig up Seiya's body, realizing he is still alive. The fight between Misty and Seiya lasts little and Seiya is the one who wins. But appear Asterion, Knight of the Greyhound (Hunting Dog), and Moses, Knight of the Whale. Both are Silver Knights and seriously hurt both Marin and Seiya, but in the end they are defeated. Seiya wakes up on the beach and sees a message left by Marin. "Seiya: please take care of Athena."
All the Bronze Knights gather at the Coliseum to decipher Marin's message. In antiquity, the Knights protected the goddess Athena, but had not yet met her. Tatsumi tells them they are wrong, since Atena has always been by his side, and reveals that Saori Kido is the incarnation of the goddess.
The Bronze Horsemen do not end up leaving their astonishment, when a new Silver Knight appears, Babel de Centauro, who has the power to dominate the fire. More powerful than Fornax, it turns out to be a powerful opponent. Hyoga confronts him, defending the group with his cold air barrier; however, it is soon exhausted by the incessant attacks of Babel. At that moment three mysterious figures appear in the coliseum, who first only observe the fight but later attack Babel, saying they are "Knights of Steel". Hyoga takes advantage of Babel's distraction and ends with him. The Steel Knights retreat without saying a word. leaving the bronze knights and Saori "Athena" in confusion.
Now the Knights know their true mission: to protect Athena from the Patriarch of the Sanctuary.
In an attempt to go to the Sanctuary to see what was happening, Seiya, Shun and Shiryu are trapped on an island when the plane that transported them fell due to the mental power of Spartan, one of the Silver Knights. On the island, Shaina faces Seiya, while Shun faces Algol of Perseus. In his attack, Shun remains a stone to the astonishment of Seiya and Shiryu. Algol is the possessor of the Shield of Medusa, which has the ability to turn into stone those who see it. Seiya, in an attempt to attack, is also turned into stone.
Shiryu tries to fight against Algol, but it is difficult for him since he avoids looking at the Medusa shield. Soon he realizes that in order to overcome him, he must sacrifice his sight. With his fingers he destroys his eyes. Unable to see Medusa's shield, Shiryu kills Algol, which allows Seiya and Shun to return to normal; however, Shiryu's eyes can not heal and he becomes blind.
Unable to see, Shiryu decides to return with her teacher Dohko in China. In Japan, in the underground barracks of the Knights, Ikki has differences with the other Bronze Knights and decides to travel alone. In that, Jamián, Cuervo's Silver Knight and raven breeder, sends his pets to kidnap Saori. Seiya chases them and saves Saori, but is left very damaged of his left hand. Surrounded by Jamián and by Shaina, Seiya decides to throw itself to the emptiness, but it does not deceive to Shaina.
The next day, Shaina goes down to look for Seiya and the woman he was protecting, Saori. Below, Saori sees that Seiya is fainted by the fall. Shaina tries to scare Saori, but Saori uses her cosmoenergy and Shaina recognizes her as the energy of Athena. Jamián arrives and tries to attack Saori, but Hyoga and Shun arrive to avoid it. With Jamian dead and Athena on the side of the Bronze Knights, Shaina decides to flee. After that, two Silver Knights appear in front of Saori, Seiya, Hyoga and Shun.
These knights are Dante de Cerbero and Capela de Auriga, who come to kill Seiya. Dante uses his chains to throw Hyoga and Shun into an abyss, but thanks to the Andromeda chain they do not get hurt. In that, the Caballero del Fénix appears and with his power he makes a line that separates -as he says- the life of death to those who cross it, challenging the silver knights. They both cross it. Phoenix defeats Capella with his Ghost Strike while Shun ends Dante. Fénix leaves them to return to the island of the Reina Muerte to be challenged by Jango, the new leader of the black knights, among them the Black Phoenix. Ikki is at a disadvantage when Seiya and company intervene helped by the steel knights. Arles destroys the island with a volcanic eruption, but Ikki and the others can escape after defeating Jango and the black knights.
Seiya can not stand that his friend Shiryu is blind and decides to go and look for Mu to see if he has any cure. In Jamir Seiya he finds Kiki, who tells him that he has not seen Mu for several days. Kiki tells Seiya that there is a sacred water that may be able to heal Shiryu's eyes. Seiya climbs the mountain where the water is and when he returns with Kiki he meets Aracne, Silver Knight of Tarantula. Once again, Kiki brings to Seiya his Pegasus armor through his mental power, and he manages to defeat Arachne. In China Shiryu meets Okko, with whom he competed for the Dragon's armor. Shiryu is defeated by Okko, since he has lost his fighting strength, but regains his spirit and defeats Okko. Then, he decides to return with his comrades. Before going to the sanctuary, Shiryu faces Mask of Death that was sent by Arles to find the knights of Aries and Libra.
Soon after, the golden helmet disappears from the hands of the Bronze Horsemen, while the other parts of the golden armor also disappear from the Sanctuary. In a lake, in the middle of unknown mountains, both sides meet and the golden armor sinks into the water. Back in Japan, Seiya and Shaina meet again when Aioria (brother of Aioros) sent by Arles appears to recover the helmet and defeat the bronze knights. When Aioria learns that his brother was not a traitor and that except Athena, he forgives Seiya and three Silver Knights appear: Sirius of Can Major, Dio de Musca and Argeti of Hercules. Seiya is in trouble when the golden armor appears and dresses Seiya to defeat the silver knights. Aioria swears to protect Atena and entrusts Seiya with the golden armor. When Athena Saori learns that the armor is not in the Sanctuary, she decides to prepare a trip to visit the Patriarch in the Sanctuary (in the manga, Sagittarius's armor changes shape because Kido had camouflaged it so that the sanctuary would not discover it) .
Shun meets June (his companion on the island of Andromeda), who tells him that Milo of Scorpio has destroyed the island and defeated Albiore (the master of Shun). June fears that Shun also succumbs in the sanctuary so it prevents him from going, when other knights of Andromeda appear: Reda and Spicca who try to sacrifice Shun so that the sanctuary takes pity on them, but Shun can defeat them (in the manga, this fight it occurs in Mount Fuji).

In the fight against Ikki everyone discovers that they are brothers. Mitsumasa Kido had 100 children around the world. It was then that Aioros asked him to recruit them to be Knights. This is the main reason why Ikki explodes in hatred. Ikki kills most of the Black Knights on the island, recruiting some as servants to take down his own master. However, the Phoenix armor was possessed by Jango.
After the fight against Ikki, the Silver Knights look for the bronze ones by order of the patriarch to kill them; they cause a tremor and the mountain collapses. Mu de Aries teleports the 4 Black knights and the bronze knights except Ikki, who refuses. Then he deceives the Silver Knights by making them see in an illusion that the Black Knights are the Bronze ones. This is how Centauro arrives at the beach to bury the supposed Swan, the Lebrel to the supposed Andromeda, and Ballena to the supposed Dragon. This is when Lizard does not believe that Marin defeated and buried Pegaso, so he is left behind. Discover Pegasus alive and the battle between them takes place.
Dragon fights against Perseus but without Spartan. Saori explains to the Bronze Horsemen that she is Athena; however, they do not believe him. Since they are still angry about the fighting and about the revelation that Ikki is their half brother, they decide not to support her in the fight against the sanctuary. At that moment, Jamián de Cuervo appears and kidnaps her. Shun is confronted with June by Chameleon and she lets him see her face.
